Start Talking About a 3rd Party Campaign- For Mitt Romney!

We should be speculating about the threat of Mitt Romney running as an independent, after Ron Paul wins the Republican nomination. Will he take votes away from Ron Paul? Will he split the Republican base and hand Obama the victory?

I really think we should be discussing this with each other, our friends, and the press.

What do you think?

ive been saying this. WHAT

ive been saying this. WHAT IF RON PAUL WINS?

What are you gonna do neo cons? Not vote for Ron Paul? Oh gosh that would be wasting your vote if you wrote in your candidate you wanted, or whatever lame excuse you give when people vote on principle over party.

Or, maybe it's time to

Or, maybe it's time to separate the wheat from chaf. Cain just might be prime for the 'Tea Party' third party nomination.

Great idea!

Below org has been mentioned

Below org has been mentioned is recent articles. Mitt Romney is without doubt the perfect third party candidate and maybe we should nominate him here:

Maybe Mitt Can Run as the "Bull Moose" Candidate

hey... it worked once before.

We don't want to be on either side of a third-party candidate. The fact this is even being discussed (Mitt running 3rd) is a sign that the establishment is scared.

Romney's 3rd Party Run Esp Now that RP has Ruled It Out!

Now that RP has absolutely ruled out a 3rd party or indie run

Romney may end up doing it.

We should be asking Romney about HIS 3rd party run! :D

I added the following to the activist section

Its called "Actively Messing with Google - Ron Paul Acivist Style.

The 'Slick Hair' Party!

...because the Libertarian Party already has a Wayne Root!

Rights are like muscles; you must exercise them to keep them fit, or they will atrophy and die.

The Pharmacy Party

He could nominate Perry as his VP.

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

great idea !!
why not do this for Cain too !!

Dr.Ron Paul's 2002 Predictions

That's a very funny suggestion

That would be a better use of the time spend on polls... slam his Facebook page with urgent suggestions to run third party.

haha, wonderful idea! bump.

haha, wonderful idea! bump.

We could very easliy set this in motion...

by encouraging the idea on his Facebook Wall! Bombard this message on his wall!

Rumors abound about Romney's 3rd party bid

All over facebook, twitter, yahoo, msn, aol, etc. everyone is communicating about how serious Romney really is about his intent, or is he just trying to scare obama?

I may or may not have heard

I may or may not have heard that Mitt Romney is planning to run as a 3rd party candidate O.O

I heard that he hasn't denied the possibility.

I think until he COMPLETELY rules it out we should keep pressing him about it.

Even if he does we should look at him skeptically and say,"Reeeeally? Are you absolutely sure you would NEVER consider running as an independent?"

The Virtual Conspiracy

Despite repeated inquiries Romney has NOT ruled out 3rd party ru

Another day, another possibility that Romney will drop out of the GOP primary and run either in a 3rd party like americaelects.com or as an Independent.

Despite repeated inquiries, Romney has NOT ruled out this possibility.

In the recent past, questions have arisen as to whether Romney's GOP opponent Ron Paul might run in a third party bid. Dr. Paul's campaign responded that there is less than a 0.0001% chance of that happening.

In Romney's case, oddmakers place the odds at 0.1% of Romney running third party.

Questions still swirl regarding the possibility of Romney's 3rd party bid.

More to come.....

What a great idea-this is

What a great idea-this is perfect, really made me laugh, but its true!!!

Theres a 1000 times greater chance Romney will run 3rd party!

Chance of Romney running 3rd party = 0.1%

Chance of RP running 3rd party = 0.0001%

I.e. there's a 1000 times GREATER chance Romney will run 3rd party than RP!

Where's Rachel Maddow? Who is writing the Press Release!!

Identify the name of Romney's 3rd Party

What do you call a candidate's party platform that looks like this:

-health care mandates
-increase in taxes
-increase in militarism spending
-continued bailouts
-continued stimulus
-ignorance of the federal reserve
-wall street favoritism
-bigger government
-continued government intrusion
-change nothing

It would have to be the "SQ Party". What else do we name it other then status quo? State Party? Police Party? Authority Party? Everyone Everywhere Party?

"It does not take a majority to prevail but rather an irate, tireless minority keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men."

--Samuel Adams

It's called the National Socialist Party. But I don't think we

have one of those here in the US officially. But we do have plenty of run of the mill socialist parties he can fly under, if they'll take him due to his being a Republican and thus by their definition not friendly to the environment. (The Greens are definitely out)

I could see the Constitution Party being gullible enough to take him if he asked.

More likely though, he'd run independent or American's Elect with Bloomberg funding him.

the Mittocracy Party

in other words, a new party would be no different from either the democrat or republican parties. so, it doesn't matter which party flipper romney is in as long as he is the autoritarian-in-chief.

The Hair Club For Mitt

Bump for comment.

I think this is a no-brainer.
But if someone has an objection I would like to hear it.

Problem is...

Sure, but the problem is, everyone knows that nobody really likes Mitt Romney. 75% of republicans say they don't like him. So who would encourage him to run third party? And if he did, who would vote for him? The democrats already have their man.

Resist the temptation to feed the trolls.

no one will take this seriously

No one believes he would do that. I think you'd be wasting your time.

Why wouldn't anyone take this seriously?

You may be right, but I would like to know specifically why you think that "no one" would take this seriously?

Really? No one? Since he is considered a "top tier" candidate and there are more than one top tier candidates that means that logically one or more "top tier" candidates are going to lose the nomination.

What if they lost to a long shot "kook" like Ron Paul?
Wouldn't it make sense for one of the "top tier" candidates to campaign as an independent to give the American people a choice other than a socialist like Obama or a "radical" like RP?

Have to bump this thread for its awesomeness....
