Bank Transfer Day Nov 5th, or start paying $5 bank fees

Bank Transfer Day is a consumer activism[1] initiative calling for a voluntary switch from commercial banks to not-for-profit credit unions by November 5, 2011. As of October 15, 2011, a Facebook page devoted to the effort had drawn more than 54,900 supporters.[2] Debit card fees of $5 a month from the Bank of America are among steps leading to the Bank Transfer Day protest with a November 5 deadline.[3] Occupy Wall Street participants support the effort[4] even though the events are not related.[5]

SunTrust is doing the five-dollar ATM fee

We're moving.

Not all Credit Unions are in good shape either!

I did my homework on Desert Schools Credit Union, they have a $100 million fed loan secured against their REO asset pool. Not looking good.

I then looked into Arizona Central Credit Union, reviewed their balance sheet, NOT good either...

So far, every balance sheet looks really really bad.
