Who else do we know of running for Congress and standing for Liberty?

**What is a Freedom Candidate?** Feel free to discuss...

My personal thoughts --> Strict Respect for the Constitution/rule of law. May have a D, R, L, or I. The things I look for when looking at their Issues page are Foreign Policy and Federal Reserve; other issues are either parroted by establishment or have not yet gained steam by the populace as a hallmark "issue" (I wouldn't expect MA freedom candidate to have "Secession" as an issue heading or a TN candidate to have "Drug War"... yet).

I am adding primary dates by their names. Some of them have lost primaries. Should I write out "lost" next to them, or just delete them from the list?

"You must be frank with the world; frankness is the child of honesty and courage...Never do anything wrong to make a friend or keep one...Above all do not appear to others what you are not" - Robert E. Lee, CSA

Added Joel Boniek, who has

Added Joel Boniek, who has joined the Gov/Lt. Gov ticket with Bob Fanning (replaced Chuck Baldwin) for Montana executive race.

"You must be frank with the world; frankness is the child of honesty and courage...Never do anything wrong to make a friend or keep one...Above all do not appear to others what you are not" - Robert E. Lee, CSA

Added Carl Wimmer, Utah state

Added Carl Wimmer, Utah state representative running for UT-4. This puts him against another Freedom candidate, Mia Love. They book seem like good candidates, though Wimmer has received more high-profile endorsements. Both I believe have endorsed Ron Paul, politically risky potentially, being Mitt Romney's "backyard." I wish one would drop out and endorse the other.

Here is jack hunter's segment on carl wimmer - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqn2nOoPgCs

Comprehensive Schedule of congressional primaries.

Anybody know of one?

Added several

Added Shaun Crowell running for Senate in TN
Dan Stojadinovic running for Senate in FL (campaign on suspension until more support is gained)
Steve Susman running for TX-22
Robyn Hamlin running for MO-1
Robert Spencer NY 24
Rob Oates ID-1
Floyd Bayne VA-7
Delia Lopez OR-3
Walter Jones NC-3 - incumbent
Al Mickle AL-6
Rick Allen GA-2
RJ Harris - President, Libertarian party

Removed Sam Rohrer, had been thinkin about it for a while then affirmed by others to do so.

"You must be frank with the world; frankness is the child of honesty and courage...Never do anything wrong to make a friend or keep one...Above all do not appear to others what you are not" - Robert E. Lee, CSA

If Sam Rohrer wins, and I

If Sam Rohrer wins, and I believe according to poll numbers he has a better chance of winning than Marc Scaringi, will you put his name back up? I think we're making a big mistake. Maybe Scaringi is better, but they are both liberty candidates, and we can't afford to split that vote. If we endorse the liberty candidate least likely to win, we lose either way.

Sam Rohrer

It pains me to say this because I've supported Sam for years. He now works for Koch Bros.' Americans for Prosperity, signed on to Herman Cain's 999 plan and was endorsed by Michele Bachmann. You can cross him off this list.

Walter Jones from North

Walter Jones from North Carolina. He is good friends with Ron Paul and along with Dr. Paul votes against the rest of the Republicans on foreign policy and civil liberties.

Al Mickle- 6th District of Alabama

I believe Al has endorsed Ron Paul and is strongly convicted on restoring our constitution. His Facebook link

http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Al-Mickle-for-Congress/287999087906340

He doesnt have a strong campaign page but he seems the best so far.

He is running to oust insider Spencer Bachus who supported pretty much every Government expansion. Although he says he's pro-business, anti-abortion, and speaks out (more like whispers) against freddie and fannae, He's benefited from many deals.

You mean Liberty candidates don't you?

because if they haven't been vetted here watch out.

November 6th 2012 I voted for Dr.Ron Paul
"We must remember, elections are short-term efforts. Revolutions are long-term projects." ~ Ron Paul

RICK ALLEN - Georgia 2nd District

Thanks, CSA1861, for putting in the time to do this.

Check out RICK ALLEN, a Constitutional Conservative running for Georgia's 2nd District. (Definately not to be confused with Rick W. Allen in GA-12.)

From http://rickallenforcongress.com/ :

"...I want to restore Constitutional Conservative representation to this District."

"I believe in the original intent of the Constitution, and the articles and amendments enclosed in this revolutionary document should be strictly enforced and followed as the guiding principles of this nation."

Oh, and he "is a lifelong Georgia Bulldog fan." He already had my vote, but that was icing on the cake! Lol

"It does not take a majority to prevail... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting bushfires of freedom in the minds of men." -Samuel Adams

Added Kurt Bills, endorsed by

Added Kurt Bills, endorsed by Ron Paul, running for Senate from Minnesota

Added Christopher David, ron paul youth activist, running for CA-33… seems pretty good, except that his education stance says nothing about getting the national government completely out of education.

When a true genius appears in the world, you may know him by this sign: that the dunces are all in confederacy against him. ~J. Swift

I've been saying it since 2007

The R3volution is not going to explode until we focus on the State legislatures. Congress by itself will do nothing unless we manage to elect 267 members or more. We can win our cause with a minority in Congress if we have pressure from the States. Plus the resources are a no brainer. It costs something like HALF...per voter...for a seat in the state Legislature.

I've been saying it to the Ron Paul community since 2007, and I put my money where my mouth is and won a NC State House seat in 2010. Reform comes from the ground up, not the top down. If you want this to actually work, you need to focus at least as much on State Legislatures as you are on national campaigns. I'd say more, but that's too much to ask when all the flair, pop, and gee wiz American Idol stuff goes on at the national level. Even we Paulers are not immune to it it seems.

And You are CORRECT

It DOES Start from the ground-up and we CAN win seats in the Congress. Here in Colorado (www.casida2012.com), we have a great chance of winning with enough visibility and support - especially from Ron Paul supporters who understand that the good doctor will NOT be a voice in Congress anymore.

The people of this country are HUNGRY for the message of Liberty. We need to stack the deck - and the Congress is the best place to do it.

Thank you for your words of wisdom and work for constitutional government! The seeds of liberty have been planted.

Ron Paul 2012!

also Mark Stefan in district 44b

Corrogan Vaughn Maryland US Senate,

www.Vaughn4America.com, there are several candidates in Maryland, but there is an argument on his website about how hes electable under winning strategy. Hmmm a black Republican Senator. Hes endorsed by Ken Cuccinelli, VAs Atty General.

As for the other 2 MD US Congress, there are only 8 districts in MD, last time Peter James was 04.

For some reason, we're expected to know every law that exists in America & in our state so we don't break it. We're supposed to know this when we're 18. There's no litmus test for them, as in the 10 commandments or rhyme or reason. C.U.R.E.

I would think the criteria should be the same as Paul's '08 list

he set forth to endorse 3rd party candidates:

Budget - limited CONSTITUTIONAL government and REAL cuts
Defense - not empire, Declare War, Marque & Reprisal
Money - sound money/banking, audit the Fed, competing currencies
Liberty - repeal U.S.A. P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Act, NDAA, etc.

If those issues were enough for Ron himself to endorse, I'm sure it should be good enough for us to consider candidates as "Liberty friendly."

Now, should anyone be removed or added to the list based on that criteria? If you know anything of these candidates - share it here.

Cool! Didn't know he had a

Cool! Didn't know he had a list of criteria. It's actually pretty much the criteria I've been using. Not everyone mentions all 4 issues on their sites.

"You must be frank with the world; frankness is the child of honesty and courage...Never do anything wrong to make a friend or keep one...Above all do not appear to others what you are not" - Robert E. Lee, CSA

I see two candidates listed for TX-14. Perhaps one should

reconsider and choose another office if possible so as not to split the Liberty vote.

Good work, but we're still short about 23 Senate candidates

and 407 House candidates. (not to mention thousands at the State and local level)

To have a "full court press" at least in the Congress would be momentous.

I don't have funds, but if someone who does would like to set up Congressional and Senatorial Election Committees to assist these candidates with fundraising, that would be swell. (I think you can donate 10k per person to such committees - we could have one committee nationwide for each, and then one per state)

President Paul will need some coattails folks...

Bump! I hope we end up with so many potential freedom

candidates at so many different levels that his thread will have to be a hub of links that further breaks out into states, countys, and congressional districts!!

Here's hoping!!! :)
