POLITICO Breaking News: Cain Accuser Got $45,000 Settlement

POLITICO has learned that one of the women who accused Herman Cain of sexual harassment at the National Restaurant Association in the 1990s received a payout of about $45,000 as part of her settlement - significantly more than the two or three months' salary Cain initially recalled the woman obtained.

The woman who received the approximately $45,000 is the staffer who Cain has acknowledged formally lodged a complaint about his behavior.

Stop spreading the gossip

Notice with 9/11, the killing of OBL, the capture of Gaddaphi , the killing of Hussien, etc., all the media told the story quickly.

When they stretch the story out it is to help them too.

They are doing many things at once:

-distracting us from important things they are doing now (that they will report on later). They probably are killing Iranians right now.

-making "Herman Cain" a household name. And the masses perceive popularity as winning. I know many of you think this will destroy Cain, but as long as he plays by the script, the right wing propagandists will protect him enough to keep him a viable candidate...one with tons of publicity.

You guys have got to stop helping them spread their piecemeal storytelling.

Every couple of days, a new detail will come out.

Stop spreading it the gossip here.

NY Times on 11/1 says: $35k w/another pay-off

Both amounts = $80,000 and is significant when considering 15 years of inflation. Hush money, IMO.
