1,000 expected at tonight’s Reagan dinner – and the first is reading her Bible

The first attendee seated at a table tonight at the Iowa GOP’s Reagan dinner was Katie, a young woman from western Iowa who said she came to to hear presidential candidate Ron Paul.

Before the doors officially opened for the big fundraising dinner at 6 p.m., she sat alone at a table reading from a small Gideon’s Bible and a copy of the U.S. Constitution. Rubber bracelets printed with the web site Infowars.com circled her wrists.

“I want to see politics in action live,” said Katie, who declined to share her last name. “And to be quite honest, I want to meet Ron Paul in person.”

She said she was taken by Paul’s fiscal viewpoints and his consistent record of fidelity to the Constitution — “which is more than any neocon or RINO in Congress, or Democrat for that matter, can say,” she said.

Five candidates speak tonight, and Paul, a Texas congressman, is first.

A Big Kiss on the forehead for Katie

This is how we win, one person at a time...

...and the rEVOLution continues..

Watched Ron & Parry

Ron was wonderful & got good applause. The intro by Rand was perfect. Parry led with an over-the-top video that was like a lead balloon in that room. He got little, restrained applause. He had to read his whole speech (no teleprompter). God, help us win Iowa!!!!!!!!!!

PS: Couldn't believe when Parry called the fellow candidates "competitors." Then, he took a jab at Newt. Newt's reptilian eyes gleamed in response, as he thought how delicious it was going to be when he ate Parry for dinner.

yeah, I know...Perry's was way over the top

with that intro music! I had to leave and heard the beginning of Bachmann's speech and she thanked everyone for "coming to see me". Yeah, right. some people may have...

Ron just give an excellent speech!

Nice introduction by Rand, too.

I hope Ron will talk about Christianity and War

He recently gave a great speech on this at the values voter's summit. I think he could make a big dent in the support for war with Iran.

More and more people are waking up. And we have those that talk about a 3rd party run and were not even out of the gate yet..
