Ron Paul's Favorite Song "Born Free"

Many of you might remember the Movie "Born Free" in 1966. The song was quite a hit when Andy Williams sang it in 1967. Here's the link to the video of Andy singing it. Honestly, it really pulls at my heart strings and made my eyes leak. I was 9 when I saw the movie, it was one of my favorites then. Wow, I dated myself. Perhaps we should revisit it...

The lyrics are:

Born Free

Born free, as free as the wind blows
As free as the grass grows
Born free to follow your heart

Live free, and beauty surrounds you
The world still astounds you
Each time you look at a star

*Stay free, where no walls divide you
You're free as a roaring tide
So there's no need to hide

Born free, and life is worth living
But only worth living
Cause you're born free

Anyone have Fr. Lester Mitchell OFM as a teacher in

World History or Religion? He used to always sing "Born Free" to his classes. It was his favorite song. Fr. Lester was my all-time favorite teacher & I'll never forget him bellowing "BOOOOOOOOOOOORNNNNNNNNNN FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

Dated yourself?

I have never dated myself, but I might have dated you. lol
I think I already knew how old you are.
That was a good movie. And song.
I still try to live like I was born free and will continue until.

I love my country
I am appalled by my government

Nice song

and good movie too thanks for sharing. Good days back then and hopeful for better days ahead. Ron Paul 2012!
