Lindsey Graham Says Ron Paul Might do Better Than Expected

This bit from Wolf Blitzer's show today is kind of interesting. He was asking Lindsey Graham, a John McCain guy, how he thought McCain would do in Iowa.
Out of the blue, Graham brings up Ron Paul's name. He says that the regular polling might be missing a lot of the support that Ron Paul has. It's strange that he would bring up Ron Paul without any prompting.

no surprise
except that the other campaigns haven't been raising Paul's expectations earlier. The last thing McCain wants is to win NH but have Ron Paul be the story because he did much better than expected. Answer: pump up expectations for Paul so that story is already old hat.
surprises
I think the media is going to be shocked at how well Ron Paul does, but they will pick up on it and run with it. The true dogs of the dark side will become more vicious and attack with slander. These will include the Hannitys and Bill O'Reileys and their ilk. We are going to be attacked with much more than ommissions from debates. Most of us are new to campaigns. It's going to get very nasty; count on it. When we win, expect to recognize your brothers in arms as those with blood on their clothing.
