Occupy Wall St. Plans To Shut Down Stock Exchange On Thursday, Nov. 17

Occupy Wall Street has targeted opposition events, interrupted a presidential candidate and shut down a major port. Now they want to shut down the New York Stock Exchange on Nov. 17 to mark the two-month anniversary of their protest. Protesters vow “a block party the 1% will never forget.”
According to a post on Facebook, “On the morning of November 17, we will shut down Wall Street. We will ring the People’s Bell, and initiate a street carnival in which we rebuild and celebrate the neighborhoods that the Wall Street economy has destroyed.”

There are always rigged games, zero sum games but main purpose for stock market is to finance free enterprises. IPOs have always been the best job creator. Where will capitalists go if they need to raise money, government?
What needs to be shut down is derivative market, which is unproductive and risky. But don't expect OWS to do anything about it. Because what they want is attention, attention and attention.
We don't have free enterprise any longer.
This is a rigged game, and rigged games are called insider trading and Ponzi schemes.
I think this is a little overstretched.
We have had same thing from day one. There were insider trading and ponzi schemes even long before Federal Reserve took over, and arguably more and and lot more than today.

i trade from time to time with my own money.. that is not for you or ows to decide whether i can trade on that day, because some crook also happens to be participating at the same time. there are doctors participating in medicare fraud. why don't we ban all medical services.

The plunge has already begun with today's trading. The S&P Futures will most likely see a close under 12,000 tomorrow (possibly overnight). A close below 1185.00 tomorrow will really bring trouble for longs....smile.

The Market is set to crash. Will they blame OWS?
Is the purpose of OWS to destroy capitalism and free markets?
A corrupt market eventually collapses on its own as fraud and theft go unchecked.

They have been removed from camping in this publicly-funded Zuccotti Park, unconstitutionally IMO.
The first judge that gave restraining order protection to OWS was replaced by Bloomberg. The new judge just said the new ruling to remove OWS cannot be overturned.

Bloomberg is forcing violence. He is strong-arming the OWS Movement.
Bloomberg: "The First Amendment gives New Yorkers the right to speak out, but it does not give them the right to camp out in a tent." He also emphasized that "no right is absolute."

The occupy has ideals on the opposite end of TeaGOP.
They both do not have the core causes figured out yet.
However, I give the occupy points for activism.

He is equidistant from either of these extremes, like he is with the so-called Dems. and the Repugs., left and right, and liberals and conservatives.
