Update: I just bought an ad for Ron Paul in my local paper for the next 4 weeks!
Submitted by Patriot1 on Thu, 11/17/2011 - 15:33I just put an ad in my local paper for 4 weeks for Ron Paul! It says " Democrats support Ron Paul! Vote in the January 21st SC Republican Primary, as it is open and cast your vote for Ron Paul!"
UPDATE: I wanted to thank everyone at Ron Paul Forums and the Daily Paul for helping me learn from my mistake. I should have asked you all first and then put this ad in the paper. This is what I did. I went back up to the news paper and I am having 4 ads, one of these for every week for the next for weeks.
January 21st Primary is Open to all voters; Republicans, Democrats and Independents. Please, support and vote for Ron Paul 2012.

unfortunately, we live in a closed primary state (NY) so we are barely bothering w/ any democrats right now. but wherever you are, that is awesome of you & worth every cent!

But I hope something like this does not lead new republican folks to believe Ron is some kind of liberal. It's great to pull in Democratic votes, but not if it costs more Republican votes. I hope you're in a heavily Democratic area. Not trying to knock you or anything.

You might not of even had to advertise. I've got a feeling democrats are going to want to participate if they can to shape the primary. Now since the msm has trained everyone to think Ron Paul can't win, democrats as a joke may vote for Ron Paul. Little do they know what sort of beast will be let loose. Dems are going to be bored with no primary and the possibility their socialist leader ousted. They have nothing better to do in the dead of winter. I think they believe that obama's teleprompter skills will overwhelm Paul's sincerity. Boy are they mistaken. I think I'm right on this one. I'm independent and I'll sometimes vote just out of spite.

Use the "Blue Republican" name

He's right - "Democrats Support Ron Paul!" immediately goes negative in the mind of the hardcore neocon. Think Hannity crowd.
Instead it should be something like "Democrat? Like Ron Paul? Go register blah blah"
And make sure you emphasize WHY they should support him. Wars, etc.
