The deadline to register to vote is TODAY, Wednesday, December 21.

Make sure you are properly registered to vote at your current address.

I had the same issue. Called to make sure wife is registered. They said yes she is. But when I tried to locate her on the South Carolina Election Commission website, it said "no results found".

The rep told me they were going through a new software system that went live in December. Really? During a national election cycle?!?

You want to talk to Matt Guzzi at 803-734-9073. He is in charge of making sure registered voters on paper make it to the website. He said its a "bug" in the new system and is supposed to call me back when it is resolved.

Searching down my registration

My husband and I registered at our local library on the 2nd of December (this is our first elections since moving to SC). However, using the search tool given I found that I wasn't in their system. So, I called the voter registration office in my county and they assured me that I would be fine for the primary because my forms were filled out in time - it's just that the library hasn't yet turned them in. She encouraged me to call the library. I did so and was referred to the main branch since that's where my library had sent the forms. The main branch is doing some investigating and will call me back to let me know that they have the forms and all is well.

I don't want to miss out on this!!!!

please re-register.

You can fax or email the voter registration form to your County Board of Voter Registration. Faxing or emailing will give you proof that your registration was turned in on time.

I first heard back saying that our registrations must have gotten lost - which was worrisome! (Especially since driver's licenses were photocopied and the thought of that information being who-knows-where bothered me!!) But, a few minutes later the library called back saying that they found the forms and they would be taken over to voter registration.

So - YAY!! Two votes for Ron Paul in South Carolina coming up!!

As a side note. If you are the precinct committee person or active in the GOP you can get the Republican voter roll right before the caucus which will have the most recent update of republican voters that may have even signed up after the deadline.
