*Please respond: poll of DP members*

Please vote UP this thread if you want to see more results!

I'm curious what percentage of active DP members are new since 2007/2008 vs. were here four years ago. This might give us an indication of how much support has grown.

So, if you're reading this, please copy the following questions, paste them in a reply, and answer them.

Thanks,

----

Please answer:
7, 8, 9, 10) Sorry, I don't like posting specifics.

11) year I first heard of Ron Paul: 2010. I randomly found Alex Jones on my cell phone's preset internet radio streams. He pointed me towards Ron Paul. Only Ron Paul stuck with me, but I still listen to Alex on occasion.

12) first impression of Ron Paul (pos, neg, unsure): Mostly positive.

13) I never considered libertarianism before Ron Paul, but the non-aggression principle and the philosophy of liberty on the whole is appealing.

14) The religious right, Bush Jr., and neocons drove me away from conservatism.

15) I leaned liberal for a while, but mostly because I saw civil liberties and peace as liberal issues.

16) End the wars, including the war on drugs; repeal the patriot act; restore the bill of rights and our civil liberties; return to a proper system of checks and balances and the rule of law; end the inflation tax, allow individuals to op-out of government programs. Monetary and economic policy, such as putting an end to the bail-outs and reducing government spending, is also very important, but ties into many of these issues, so it is hard to find it's place in the list.

125 responses so far!

I'd say about a third indicate they are "Ron Paul libertarians", meaning they weren't libertarians before discovering Ron Paul in 2007 or later.

Looking forward to results. Just scanning through, have you all noticed how many 40 and 50+ people?! The young people always get mentioned and their numbers are indeed plenty but I've always hoped someone could point out the numbers of mature supporters are nothing to sneeze at.
