How many of us
Submitted by truthseeker3 on Mon, 12/31/2007 - 14:24
There are 1000 online at dailypaul right now. I am curious to see how many of us are maxed out?
I am not sure why so many think 20 million is alot for a campaign. We are the underdogs and we need to be thinking much bigger. Look how much personal cash some of the other candidates have. We have to play with the big boys..can I ask everyone here to get as close to the max donation as possible? I am maxed, plus blimp, call4paul, and have plastered signs all over Scottsdale. Everytime I loook at my infant daughter, I think, this is our only chance for our children!!!!!
Can we rally together? Its money well spent and Liberty is a gift you can give to yourself!

Ron Paul "Sign Wave Across the USA" -- November 5th!
I've donated
not as much as I would like, but as much as I could afford.
I bought a (cheap) bottle of wine yesterday to celebrate the ending total. Looks like I might have to drown my disappointment in the whole bottle instead:(
Gave 100
I keep a piece of paper by the computer to keep tabs on how much I am up to1,700 so far. I have to give gradual. I'm making signs, and mailing letters, too. This is a bad time of year to give and after Dr. Paul wins a few states maybe we will get others to pitch in. I sure hope so.

I'm broke and haven't been able to donate as much as I would like to .
I just donated
I had $150 to live on for the next week...and I just gave $100 of it to RP! So I'll brown bag it for a week, so what? That hardly compares to what the Founders were willing to give up. Forget those lattes people, get your priorities in order.
I haven't had a latte in a long time, but
I refuse to forget them.

hey i maxed out
but theres always prepaid vanilla visa cards any name will do.
To All
that help and donate in any way to this campaign I give you a heart-felt THANK YOU !! All of us together, are bringing hope to America !
Not yet maxed out
So far, my wife and I have given directly $950 to the campaign plus another $250 to the blimp, FiveforFreedom, and the Shotgun News ad.
We are retired so can't give the whole $2,300 each in one shot.

Maxxed for the formal campaign
Enjoy giving to the outside efforts also.
I'm not
but I cannot afford anymore right now. I donated $25 on Saturday. That was all I could spare and I could barely do that. Sorry if that disappoints anyone.
hey man your a true partriot
you give what you can sacrifice. god knows the bankers have enslaved almost all of us.
absolutely
not disappointed. You are doing your part. Thank you!

We're just this side of having to accept money from family to make ends meet. I don't think it's fair to get behind faster by giving to a candidate the ones who would bail us out don't support. We're thinking of doing the RP08 DVD's on eBay to make up the difference, though. Altogether, we've only givin $130 to the official campaign spread out in increments and paid most of our own way in meet-up activities.

silly, pertinent question
Silly question because I don't know if I'm maxed out. $100 here, $200, another $250 when I saw a good video, money bombs, a T-shirt, signs, cards, etc. It adds up but I haven't kept track of everything for the year. How was I supposed to know at the beginning of the year that I would be close to maxing out?
I wonder what happens if I accidently go over the limit? Do I get sent to Gitmo?
Can I plead stupidity?
I'm not rich, just committed.
Supposedly
The campaign has to send it back to you. But it would be my luck that a "full investigation" would ensue and then Dr. Paul would be all over the news as accepting campaign funds over the limits!! Or some other horrible scenario. I think I accidently went over by some small amount, but I too am not sure. I know for sure that I maxed out, but then there was that one time that I gave to a plea for help, that I don't remember the details. So I am hiding in the dark waiting for a knock on my door!! :)
LOL!
Unfortunately, I haven't kept good track of what I've been donating to the official campaign either. Not close to maxing out, but I've given what I can afford.
Today's donor 96% NEW
Of today's 510 donors, 490 are new ones. Are the old ones all maxed out?
I am
maxed out
I am
maxed out
Can you spare $10
If old donors give at least that much, we will go past 20MM.
$2,300 for year or election cycle???
I haven't yet maxed out at the $2,300 level because I wish to contribute to the general election fund if Ron Paul get's the GOP nomination. However if someone could clarify if it is $2,300 per year or election period!
That way I could contribute more today ('07) and then have another $2,300 for next year ('08).
Thanks
per election cycle. When
per election cycle. When the primaries are over the new cycle starts. maxed out donors can start donating after RP is given the nomination at the end of the primaries.
Max
The max is $2300 for the primaries and another $2300 for the general election.
We are Maxed Out-
My husband and I , lest any one think we're rich, the car we drive is a 1990 Olds, we are technically renting from a relative and Christmas was tight. But my daughter loves Ron Paul (she's 7) so does my son, (he's 2, ask him if he likes Ron Paul -He says " I do!") So we do it for their freedom and future.

rich
Being rich is a wonderful thing. Most of the so-called rich folks I know are terrific people. Money allows us to do great things!
Sorry if there is any offense--
More Power to All of you who are, you help employ the rest of us. We are glad you support Ron Paul too.

All "type" and no action
The fact that no one is responding to my question posted about maxxing out, scares me. You guys are so worried about trolls...but what we really need is fundraising...
and canvassing
MAX out for Paul
We need HIm and He needs YOU!!!!! NOW!
I am not maxed out
But at this time I feel I will get more bang for my buck by supporting the grassroot efforts rather than the official HQ.
The reasons are:
1.. The official campaign has been given 8 million more than they asked for. What do they do: turn around and ask for 23 million dollars more.
3. The official HQ campaign pleads for monetary support, but that is its only communication with the grassroots. I think that they try to undermine the grassroots.
4. There are several grassroot publicity campaigns already running and they can make use of my money today! If they make use of that money today, that will realistically increase the cahnce of winning the january primaries. If we win one of them, you would not much money for publicity anyways.
5. The grassroot efforts are better in quality than the official efforts.
So, I will see if I want to contribute to the official campaign after the Michigan caucus. They will not be using the money anyways prior to that. But the grassroots are not going to survive without our money.
undermine the grassroots
undermine the grassroots
Are you nuts?
Ron Paul and every one involved in the campaign know exactly how important the grassroots is to the campaign. Just because they do not execute the plan exactly like you would like does not mean they are trying to undermine the grassroots.
RP has said many times, publicly and privately, that it is the grassroots that has gotten him this far.
Both the wife and I are maxed out and I have contributed additional money and effort to several grassroots efforts.
