How can Gingrich's spokesman not know what Gingrich's position is? This should be asked of Newt during a debate. And the moderator shouldn't let Newt weasel out of the question by changing the subject to supporting the troops or placating to whatever kind of special interest group the audience is...

Rich to poor = Bad. Poor to rich = A-OK.

You gotta love how the other republican candidates (and their spokespeople) do not pause when confidently proclaiming their opposition to taking from the rich to give to the poor (entitlements), but things get fuzzy when asked if they're opposed to taking from the poor to give to the rich (e.g., subsidies).

a big bird or something would interrupt the conversation :-)

Just showed this video to my class this morning.

I teach early morning seminary (Bible Study) to a group of 18 high school students every morning before school at my church.

We recently studied the Ten Commandments.

So I asked them: what is "redistribution of the wealth"? Which of the 10 commandments does it violate?

It wasn't apparent to them. But finally somebody got it right: Thou Shalt Not Steal.

We talked about the importance of knowing correct principles and then governing yourself according to that principle, and I said most politicians can't do that. BUT this politician's spokesperson in this video actually conceded the point and courageously changed his view point, I told them.

Then I showed the video. They all quietly and with great interest watched the video.

I then testified of the truth this is stealing, whether it's "flagrant" or not, and that such a practice should not be supported if you believe stealing is wrong.

They felt the truth of that.

Best lesson of the month so far! It got them thinking.

Thanks for sharing this video.

I only approve of

"covert" redistribution of wealth

Only when it's blatant

What does a spokesperson

What does a spokesperson actually do?

This guy sells his family, friends and soul out for what? I'll bet he doesn't make over a 100K a year for helping scumbags like Gingrich, but yet he'll wash his community down the toilet to get it... what a pathetic turd!

That's one of his best

It's hard to argue against simple logic.

I guess that's their view on the constitution. If it's not blatantly unconstitutional, then they go along with it.

Spokesman Open-Mindedness is Commendable

His ability to actually consider his position, listen to a counterargument, and abandon his position is honorable.

To me, that looked like genuine thoughtfulness. We should not proclaim the "gotcha" moment. We should emphasize the enjoyment of a real discussion and ability for a person to change position in light of all the evidence.

I agree

I agree. Hopefully he went on to rethink his participation in Newt's campaign.

"When it's not

"When it's not blatant."

Really? He means if the government can cover it up that it's still OK... Thus bills with thousands of pages passed and never read.

Newt is a fool.

And did it laughing. Whoa.

correct manner of challenging hypocrisy

I appreciated the way he demonstrated how to confront the hypocrisy. He was nice and won him over. I think many of us need to learn this. It's difficult with really strong feelings, but we see Ron Paul do it all the time.
I'm trying to remember not to condemn neo-conservatives, but to point out the conflicts in their principles and win them over!

Yes, Jan is a class act and

Yes, Jan is a class act and the real deal.

Thats quite something, seems

Thats quite something, seems like something to...how do you say...REPORT Mr reporters as you consider or at least act as if your where our trusted objective informers.

These people are all phonies

Always looking for the angle. No principles.

Can't say anything blatantly against free markets, because they would lose face in front of one huge block of people.

But all their big donors want re-distribution of wealth .. as kickbacks into their pockets once the candidate gets elected.

So can't say anything without f*cking themselves over; hopefully counting on people's stupidity not to see they are obviously full of sh*t and lying.

Its so blatant.

Sorry folks, park's closed- account was hacked.

Gingrich is Toast!

How can his spokespersons view totally different from NEWT? I guess because Jan was telling the TRUTH. Ron Paul 2012.

Well done!

To Change the Subject, However, It is still about Newt I heard

tonight that Bill Clinton is endorsing Newt on KFI 640 am, per radio host Lisa Ann Walker here in the Los Angeles area. She said it twice and so I did a Google search and all I see is that Clinton praised him this week. I didn't spend anytime doing a lot of research but wonder if anyone else heard this and what do you think.

Clinton's Endorsement Should,,,

,,,hurt Newt among most Repubs, because they think blindly and myopically in a false good (Repub) vs bad (Demo) model.

However, it will help Newt among the brainwashed independents.

Since we're in the primary season, I'd think Newt would want to avoid any endorsement from Clinton.

Anybody disagree?

Not that I can say that I am surprised.. I mean, they are buddies:

Gingrich Praised by Clinton

This might be what you were thinking of:

Have no idea on an actual endorsement, though.

You would think that he would wait for the General. Imo

Newt has co-opted the Tea Parties in SC

and has hired bloggers to attack RP and push Newt on Tea Party FB pages as well as GOP FB pages!

Good to see Jan

still hard at work.

This guy stutters because

This guy stutters because each answer has to be thought out as to its political ramifications. If Ron Paul were asked these questions, he would just answer with what the Constitution requires. This illustrates the big difference between Ron Paul and the losers the GOP is trying to foist on the American people.

When you tell the truth, you don't have to struggle to remember the lies you just told.

RON PAUL in 2012!

mark twain once said.....

always tell the truth, you'll have a lot less to remember...

ron in 12!

Aww. That was Mark Twain?

I thought that I had thought that one up!

My take on it was about laziness - why bother to remember a pack of lies when the truth is just lying there?
