Cain 'reassessing' campaign
Submitted by Epicurean Helvetic on Tue, 11/29/2011 - 13:03I bet he quits tomorrow.
(CNN) - Herman Cain is reassessing the future of his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination, less than 24 hours after a woman said she had an affair with him for more than 13 years, two sources close to the campaign tell CNN.
Cain held a conference call Tuesday morning with his senior campaign staff and told them he is evaluating the viability of his campaign.
One top campaign source tells CNN he expects Cain to make a decision “within a few days” – based on whether fund-raising dries up.

Real eyes realize real lies
2012, we want our country back
2012 is the year for Ron Paul!
This is
probably a tough decision for Cain to make. If he became president, there would be lots of more women to "help"
I think the clown was asked
I think the clown was asked to drop out so Mitt and Ging will have the votes to beat Ron Paul.
should be making his decision
should be making his decision soon sometime after 1p.m.

I think Herman Cain and Justin Bieber should record a duet remake of this Michael Jackson classic.

Where is Cain's Wife on this?
You'd think if it was all innocent, Cain's wife would come forward and say she knew this woman as a family friend, was aware of the financial aid given to her, and of the phone calls at all hours of the day. If Cain was keeping all of this from his wife it's case closed.
I'm married, have female friends but my wife knows them. We've seen them together socially. Nothing is hidden from her. I asked her last night if it would be OK with her if I had a female friend for 13 years, gave her money, and made calls to her at all hours, all without her knowledge. Of course, it wasn't.
Political ramifications
From the beginning Newt has been VERY friendly to Cain. They even did a love-fest debate together. Even now, Newt is defending Cain, knowing full well that Cain's presidential ambitions are doomed. These overtures have, of course, always been aimed at winning over Cain's supporters.
When Herman was on the rise, I assumed Newt was angling for a VP slot. But maybe he knew all along that Cain would crash and burn. Now Cain will almost certainly endorse Newt.
The question is: Will Cain's supporters feel betrayed by their candidate, thus rendering his endorsement irrelevant or even poisonous? If so, to whom will they go?
This may be one of those "Fork in the road" moments
Cain has stated quite understandably, considering his past, that he is least like Ron Paul. Obviously. With their philandering ways, Cain and Gingrich make a good match for one another. so you have that side of the fork in the road.
But looking at it from the opposing view, if Cain's supporters were so disgusted and disappointed in his ways to depart from his campaign, it wouldn't make sense for them to climb on board the S. S. Gingrich--you've got more of the same only worse. Ron Paul is the complete opposite of what those two practice, but preach against.
Which way will Cain's supporter chose to divert? I think of Frosts' poem "Two paths diverge in the wood"..."And I am the better man for it."
What do you call a liar
who has no remorse, no morals, can't tell the truth from a lie, preys on other human beings, blames everyone else for HIS actions? Serial killer? No. Horn Dog Cain.

Look at it this way, if only
Look at it this way, if only 20% of Cain supporters go over to Paul, then that would be a gain for us, that's assuming weighted distribution for the rest who choose other candidates.

This isn't cool...
Cain is talking about dropping out, i'm sure if he does his votes by in large, will go towards Newt or Mitt, thus taking away RP's most important win in IA and NH... Guys. put more focus on Phone banking and RevoPacs plan right now, we may need way more votes than we think if this goes down...
Agreed! Establishment vote will consolidate; this hurts us : (
If Cain drops out most of his vote will go to strengthening the other establishment candidates. I don't see those votes coming our way to Ron Paul.
We need Cain to keep the establishment divided. Cain said he would never endorse Ron Paul. He will likely endorse Romney.
Pee Wee Herman the...
perverted...the Curse of Cain!
I keep saying this nearly a month back...come Thanksgiving, he is SO GONE!!
So long, Perverto!!
Either Cain is incredibly
Either Cain is incredibly naive or just plain reckless with his risk-taking. How did he ever think this stuff would not get out?
It's ego.
Look at John Edwards. Political bigwigs are used to a reality in which rules and norms don't apply to them.
Doubt he had designs on
Doubt he had designs on running for president until very recently. Too late at that point.

Via Twitter @ Drudge ...
Via Twitter @ Drudge ... Bachman campaign aide Tweeted that "Moving vans were outside Cain's Iowa HQ" to find out they were actually DELIVERY vans delivering 3,000 campaign signs! LOL. I think we need Cain to stay in ... he's damaged goods in terms of his upside anyway, dilutes the vote, and limits Grinch's upside until he sticks his foot in his big mouth and implodes.
like I said below...
...Caint's campaign paid the 10,000 dollar fee today to be in the Nevada caucus in FEBRUARY. He ain't going anywhere any time soon. The most recent news must have launched another big influx of dough.
Best Iowa result:
1) Ron
2) warBach
3) Sanitorium
4) Grinch
5) Obamney
6) Fed chairman Cain't
7) pArry

out??
or IN??
I say Cain doesn't drop
After watching the interview on CNN and reading the article, this isn't enough to get him to drop out. His numbers may go down a bit, but I don't think he'll drop.
Frankly, I think it's good that he stays in. If anyone needs to drop, it's newt. I'm not worried about Cain anymore.
Cain and Perry do a great job burying themselves. One could make the same argument against newt, but I disagree. Stupidity of a candidate is actually something that gets punished in this country - it's why Cain and Perry dig their own grave and there's nothing the establishment can do about it.
However, flip-flopping and being a liberal/authoritarian and a liar is something that the media doesn't bury all that much. This is why Romney and Newt are in it still. Frankly, Americans - at least the general masses - don't seem to care too much about this stuff.
So our efforts need to be against Romney and Newt, not the ones that bury themselves.
And after Iowa...
Expect Santorum, Huntsman, and Bachmann to go by the wayside as well.
Perry will or "might" stay in for a bit just because he has $15 million to at least put up a "show". "Hopefully" by then or soon after people will WAKE UP regarding Newt's "electability" in the general campaign. Leaving Mitt and Ron for the final fight to the finish...;-)
Bring on the TEA PARTY MONEY BOMB!!!
Hmmm may be time to change his name
from Herman Cane to the plural Theirman Cane. Definitely not Ourman Cane though. I'll just be happy when he goes back to being Citizen Cane.
This could be bad for our
This could be bad for our campaign. We need as many establishment candidates diluting the vote as possible. I fear that Cain's votes will go to Gingrich or Romney...yuck

Fantastic!
I knew Cain wasn't going to last very long...he was just the flavor of the day.
He got the block of voters that went from Bachman, to Perry...and they're now flocking to Newt Gingrich.
The debate stage is starting to get a little emptier. Maybe Ron will get a little more face time now.

How about Operation Wall Street?

People looking the other way
about adulterous affairs breaks my heart. This country has sunk to such a sad level. HEY, EVERYONE JUST SLEEP WITH ANYONE! It doesn't matter if you are married, just so long as your lustful desires are met. We are indeed the Sodom and Gamorrah of the 21st century. We are a sick and depraved nation. I am sickened that the people in this country have no problems with people that cheat on their spouses and then have the gall to condemn others for the same behavior. I guess we deserve what we get.
