Cleveland Browns RB Peyton Hillis Openly Supports Ron Paul

http://youtu.be/MsCUjnabT84

During Thursday's interview session, Hillis decided to comply with teammate Tony Pashos request (after persistent begging) that he advertise for Pashos' favorite presidential candidate. Pashos has had bumper stickers for Paul, the candidate vying for the Republican nomination, taped to his locker all season.

Hillis donned a Browns baseball cap with a Ron Paul bumper sticker plastered across it during TV and newspaper interviews, donned a "Ron Paul 2012 button" and added another Ron Paul sticker to his T-shirt for good measure.

Pashos joined the media scrum and asked the final question of the interview session.

"Who do you support for president?" Pashos shouted.

"Ron Paul," Hillis said, simply. "He represents the constitution and what it needs to be."

Check out the #1 and #2

search results for Peyton Hillis on youtube right now :D

Too bad he didn't have a very good game on national TV tonight so lots of people would go to youtube to look him up. He's probably still not at 100% from his hamstring injury, but one day he will regain his form from last season and start tearing it up again.

Browns and Steelers tonight!

I sure hope the Browns win! Most importantly the Browns have their Ron Paul gear ready for after the game!Go Browns!

NFL is ...

meaningless diversion up until now...

After almost 50 years of being a Washington Redskins fan ... I'm making the switch to a team that is the very personification of the underdog. From this day forward I am a Cleveland Browns fan! How better to defeat the New World Order than to take their favorite propaganda vehicle and turn it on it's head.

Down with NFL war-cheerleader propaganda !

Long live Liberty !

For Real?

Honestly, this seems like a couple of guys joking around. I wouldn't take too much stock in it. It reminds me of that viral video we had last campaign of a drunk Jon Meyer saying that exact same thing. Nothing came of that just like I don't expect anything to come of this.

It doesn't really matter that much

if Peyton is joking around or not. This is a great way to reach out to sports fans that otherwise might not take much of an interest in politics or Ron Paul. Send them this video and start a conversation about Ron Paul. As to whether Peyton is joking or not, I think he was having some fun but I think it is also pretty obvious if you watch the new video I posted a few posts below that he actually does support Ron Paul for president. And his teammate Tony Pashos is a huge supporter if you haven't seen the pics:

I'm not sure what else you would expect from this anyways - there is a limit to how outspoken they can be given that they play for professional sports teams that frown upon players expressing controversial or political opinions that could impact tickets sales.

Looks like the Cleveland

Looks like the Cleveland Browns is the team I'm going to be watching.

Mods stick in OP please!

Thank you.

That's the video I wanted to see. The last thing he said in the interview was, "Ron Paul!". Clearly an endorsement.

Dallas Cowboys all the way..

My new favorite NFL player

I'm an Eagles fan but this guy is numero uno in my book!

The Steelers should sign him

He deserves a Superbowl Ring

END the FED before it ENDS US

I am now a Cleveland Browns fan!

Not that I have much to support in Seattle anyway.

But that was COOL!!!

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."

Not going to

Not going to change my team but it's good to know he is doing it with pride. Go Packers

Being from Pittsburgh and a life long Steelers fan...

this is really cool to see... The Browns and Steelers play twice a year and Peyton Hillis (when not injured) is a beast of a running back. I hope this gets some attention and opens the eyes a few Clevelanders.

Ron Paul 2012

.... btw ... GO STEELERS !!!! haha :)

Stillers.

Stillers.

No greater fullback to do some blocking for Ron Paul's run!!!

Peyton Hillis is a great guy and ball player on the field and off. Go Peyton, go Browns fans and vote for Ron Paul.

Peyton Hillis was also the featured player for the Madden's cover picture for Madden NFL game. http://tinyurl.com/4xzdgpu

Great endorsement for the Ohio campaign. As they say, big guns here are endorsing Ron Paul!

Remember, 13 million people voted in this Madden cover contest. Think about it.

The night is far spent, the day is at hand.
And those who have not heard shall understand.

yeah, he definitely has a lot of fans

out there to have won that contest. 13 million people, that is a lot of people that voted in the contest. Madden is one of the most popular video games out there too, so even a lot of people that don't follow football closely will still know who he is if they have ever seen the cover of Madden 12.

Not sure why

the picture won't load for me...

Well, I know who I am picking

Well, I know who I am picking up in my fantasy draft next year!

Arkansas Razorback!

Peyton did a great job at Arkansas, along with Darren McFadden and Felix Jones. With that trio of talent, I don't see how we missed a national championship. Go Peyton and Go Ron Paul.

As a giant Steelers fan...

it pains me to approve of this lol. He is a great back to boot. I wish the Burgh would have picked him up.
