Cain takes a Nose Dive due to Infidelity - Newt GAINS despite Infidelity

Oh The irony. The Stats Quo Republicans abandoned Cain BECAUSE of infidelity, to support a man who is WORSE than Cain regarding infidelity -- Newt Gingrich. I mean, seriously, why oh why?? Can they answer that?

Use this argument against the shills...

Calling our Gingrich

Ron Paul needs to make a second Video Advertisement about Newt's reckless marriage affairs and utter lack of morals.

He must directly call out Gingrich as an amoral man of low character, and lacking Christian values, and respect for the institution of marriage.

Thats right; if you want to win, you have to play hard ball.

Unfortunately, mere flip-flopping and taking money as a lobbyist is so common place that voters will just shrug over that and not care. But sex is the thing that really bugs GOP voters the most.

The Ron Paul campaign must shine a spotlight on this, and bring down Gingrich.

"Looks like Cain ran out of Love Potion # Nine Nine Nine...."

This was a comment under the story by 'Denise'. Thought it was worth sharing.

Newt's infidelities are

Newt's infidelities are before the fact and acknowledged. Cain foolishly thought as a running candidate for president this information would not surface....Naive? or just plain stupid?

That's not the point. The

That's not the point. The point is that the SAME people that are leaving Cain for infidelities, now wanna support Newt even though he had worse infidelities..

Nice title

I always appreciate the creative use of language.

Thanks.

Cain has only been accused. Gingrich has confessed.

At this point Cain is still innocent until PROVEN guilty. Gingrich has admitted guilt.

Good question. Why is Cain going down while Gingrich ascends? This is why I feel like an alien in the land of my birth.

get read for cain to endorse newt

i wish cain was in the primaries to dilute the idiot vote. oh well, is the "tea party" going to be forced to get behind Ron Paul now, heaven forbid!

Don't see how that will help

Cain's primary pull is the perception that he's an "outsider". I don't think his supporters will take to Newt or Mitt.

Yup, right with ya, fidelity is no longer a litmus test

There was a day when a GOP conservative would face instant career death for infidelity, especially with the evangelicals.

I don't see Newt getting a pass on this, I see an increasingly desperate "old guard" GOP searching for anyone or anything that simply won't become a total embarrassment. Newt they have some confidence in due to familiarity, the fact that he "looks presidential" (the RINO equivalent to leftist "likability") and his supposed "leadership experience".

Cain is a newcomer with a quirky down-home afro-Southern charm but with everything to prove and infidelity is another reason not to trust him. Add in his utter inability to address issues (or even find Uzbeki-stani-stan on a map), well, now he has zero confidence.

The take-aways here for me is this demonstrates that the evangelical voting block has lost cohesion and relevance in an increasingly secular society and the fact that the GOP has lost it's ideological cohesion. All RPRs can take credit for hastening that little train wreck along.

Be brave, be brave, the Myan pilot needs no aeroplane.

"There was a day when a GOP conservative would face instant career death for infidelity, especially with the evangelicals." No, that is the point . it IS a litmus test, because Cain is going down for THAT exact reason, while Newt is gaining though he did worse than Cain on that issue....

It's not anyone except Romney. It is anyone except Paul.

It is the GOP elitists realizing they are close to losing control.

Everyone is asking who will win the not-Mitt primary...

Well we know who is going to win the not-fidelity primary. Maybe all of these voters are attracted to candidates brandishing there infidelity. It is pretty clear Newt Gettin-rich is getting all of Cain's supporters.

So, what can Paul do to attract the infidelity vote within the republican primary? Maybe he could get a girlfriend. Or perhaps start pal-ing around with BJ Clinton. I wonder if Hugh Hefner would be open to endorsing Paul? We have got to try to reach that 1/3 of republican voters that want their candidate to abuse women and cheat on their wife, and frankly Paul is doing a poor job of reaching out to these voters. That whole 54 years with the same wife thing is going to be a huge drawback!

I don't think

it's so much Cain's infidelity as his campaign's incompetence in handling the issue. Cain was in over his head and obviously not ready for the big time even before this surfaced. Newt is surging because he's an experienced politician.

Yes, Gingrich is just a more effective liar than Cain.

Both exhibit characteristics of a sociopathic personality.

Might as well get a good laugh out of Cain's demise:

he does it much more

he does it much more articulately

Really? You don't think Cain

Really? You don't think Cain was hurt by his infidelities? And you think newt is rising because he is an experienced politician. If that is the case, can you answer why Newt didn't surge in April, May, June, July, August, September, October? His status as an experienced politician hasn't changed.

What HAS changed, is the MEDIA touting his candidacy and promoted his latest surge, which they in fact were responsible for.

Newt had been gaining in the

Newt had been gaining in the polls for a while, as a result of people abandoning Bachmann, Perry, and Cain, and running out of options. Once Cain started collapsing more people went to Newt, and the media hype went into overdrive, which propelled him to top 2 status in the polls.

I'm bumping this for the nice catchy symmetry of the title. . .

(even though I know that this is the topic Ron would rather not dwell on.)

its NOT the topic that is

its NOT the topic that is important -- ist the substance of how republican voters (and most voters) are so damn hypocritical..... How do they justify this jump from one candidate to another when both are guilty of the same reason for jumping ship?

If you disagree with me on anything you are not a real libertarian...

It's all media spin...

How many articles have you seen on Newt's infidelity? Newt's monstrous behavior absolutely dwarfs anything Cain has done; but, besides Robert Scheer's LA TIMES article, how many articles have you seen on Newt's treatment of his first wife and family?

Good Point

not enough.

not enough.

That demonstrates the inescapable point...

...that the Republican Party (present company excepted) has absolutely no minimum ethical requirements for its candidates, nor have they for quite some time. Gingrich is another version of Bush just like Romney is...all of them neocon scum.

Out of the frying pan and into the fire the Republicans go...

Cuimhnigh orm, a Dhia, le haghaidh maith.

I.e. they have ZERO

I.e. they have ZERO principals... They go with whatever the media tells them to go.. BUT this is the argument we use against them voting for these idiots..
