2nd Half better.... funnier anyway

This first part was good, and great for the Doc. But I think everyone should watch the second half (there's a link after you watch this video), too, as it pokes fun at Mitt Romney and is hilarious. Check it out.

Yeah

nailed Romney. "What book are you reading?"...Romney responds "I just finished George W. Bush's Decision Points." Then Stewart shows a clip of Romney 6 mnths early with the exact same question. Guess what the answer was? "I just finished George W. Bush's Decisions Points." Guys a slime.

YouTube?

Can somebody save this on YouTube, or provide a better link? I can't get this to work on my satellite Internet connection.

Jon

At least he is and will always be better than that clown Colbert.

When he is not grovelling at the feet of Clinton or any other Democratic or Republican establishment individual he actually does say some useful things sometimes.

p.s. imo, in another 30 years he will be just like Larry King :)

donvino

Another watershed moment for the RP movement?

Thanks for the early x-mas gift Jon!

If men are good, you don't need government; if men are evil or ambivalent, you don't dare have one.

Thanks Jon Stewart

It doesn't get any better than this :)

Freedom, Prosperity and Peace

Stewart just did RP another

Stewart just did RP another solid without ever having to say his name. Now when his audience starts to research the Fed, whose name is going to pop up as the sage that has been screaming this for 40 years? Ron Paul, that's who.

Stewart for VP.

I prefer Stewart for,,,

,,,Press Secretary.

"It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a rEVOLution before tomorrow morning." - Henry Ford

Good call.

Good call.

I read some ignorant comment

I read some ignorant comment on that anti-Newt video that said something like: “Ron Paul is the Senator assigned to oversee the Fed, and look what terrible things they’ve done under his watch.” (???)

Good Heavens! You got to be

Good Heavens! You got to be joking! If this reflects even a small percentage of our national 'boneheadedness', we are doomed!
I hope he was educated by other comments.

Support this guy!!!

Of course Jon is not going to repeatedly shout "RON PAUL!" at his audience. He can't, that's not his job.

However, he can keep exposing "the issues" that play right into our cause like continual, unconstitutional wars, the loss of our civil liberties, police state enhancements, the backroom dealings of the Fed, etc, etc, etc. And folks, he is doing just that!

Now after Iowa, when we're probably left with Mitt, Newt and Ron, let's see how this all shifts as Jon is certainly NO FRIEND of Mitt or Newt. But he likes the good doctor ;-)

As hard as it is sometimes to remember, Jon Stewart is a comedian, not a news anchor...I know...it seems like he is the only ONE telling us the real news, but again, his job is about laughs. Fortunately for us and him, the other candidates give him PLENTY of material to work with...lol ;-)

Because Martha Stewart wasn't

Because Martha Stewart wasn't sent to the pokey for her alleged crime regarding stock market trades; rather, Martha was made an example of for the most odious crime of "lying" to FBI agents.

I have often wondered why exactly they singled her out and thought it was so misdirected and arrogant to go after her while the biggest white collar crimes in D.C. go unnoticed and/or unpunished.

Right

Exactly! Thanks for helping keep the record straight.

I stand corrected Victoria...Your right on!

thanks for the correction my dear..oh, wait, that was sexist..lol

...and they put Martha Stewart and Leona Helmsley in Jail..Ha!

The message there is only the annointed are exempt from criminal prosecution..

Maybe John doesn't understand that the 'FED' is PRIVATE and is owned secretly by private interests, mostly living abroad..

Priceless

Another great endorsement by Jon Stewart. I'm not that worried about him not mentioning RP's name. Anyone that was informed enough to understand this segment has probably heard of "that Ron Paul guy, you know the one that always says, End the Fed, End the Fed...' " This can only help us.

The reason most in the audience

couldn't make themselves laugh near the end?

A: They don't know jack about how financial markets work!

Yes, those same financial markets that affect every aspect of our lives, and have caused thousands to go out onto the streets and protest. Those same protesters, and Daily Show audience members DON'T KNOW JACK ABOUT HOW FINANCIAL MARKETS WORK!

...yet they feel compelled to offer us their opinions and their anger.

Get informed people. Read a book, watch cnbc, bloomberg, (even though they're biased, you don't have to buy the drivel the talking heads spew, just get informed), and surf the web for financial news.

Yep

Yep. You are right. I noticed that, too. It was a long (and good) segment, but you actually need to think about numbers and interest rates and such to get the insanity. Then to go on and talk about Dodd-Frank and how the Fed didn't tell congress assumes that the audience is still with him and even knows what the Fed is. Also, most people can't fathom the difference between billions and trillions, especially dealing with high finance. To be really shocked at this news more or less requires that you have a clue to begin with.

But thanks, Jon, for putting it out there and doing his best to describe it to those less informed.

Like was said before, perhaps some of those listeners will get off the couch (or pick up the iPad on the couch) and Google Federal Reserve. What IS that, anyway!???

Too bad John still thinks the

Too bad John still thinks the Fed is the US governmnent

Too bad he still thinks

that the bailouts were necessary.

Maybe...

... but news like this just has to be eating away at their convictions on the matter.

One of the Few Real Reporters Left

Besides Bloomberg.
He's on top of the Jon Corzine/MF Global story, too.

And don't forget Glenn Greenwald, Justin Raimondo,

Paul Craig Roberts, Tom Woods, Lew Rockwell's bloggers, Naomi Wolf....

There are a lot of them actually, you just have to know where to look.

This could not have been possible

if not for Dr. Paul. NO ONE has done more to illuminate the dark secrets of our monetary system than Ron Paul. I can't believe that even Jon Stewart recognizes this problem.

Wow

I know we all know that we're in deep doo-doo. But sometimes you just sit back and it hits you all over again.

Wow.

And you read about these places like Weimar Germany and China during the 30's, 40's, 50's and 60's and you have to wonder - where are we really heading as a nation? The once mighty China got carved up like a turkey by the colonial powers. France had its share; Britain had its; The country was drugged out an poor. Is that was is in store for us?

He's the man.

That was pretty funny when

he squeezed that coal.

He's the man.

That was great!

That was great!
