Day of Prayer for Dr. Ron Paul Sunday December 11

Friends of Liberty!

We held countless Money Bomb fundraiser days for Dr. Ron Paul.
Sign waving days and many other one day activist events.
But we never held a Day of Prayer for the good doctor.

Thinking about George Washington's prayer at the Valley Forge gave me this idea.

I found an inspirational video:

The Liberty Movement led by Dr. Ron Paul is a big tent. We all came together to be part of one family. May we ask God to help us restore the Republic.

11 December is the Third Sunday Advent.

The Catholic Church has been saying prayers for politicians during our general intercessions the past two weeks. We are celebrating Our Lady of Guadalupe with a novena, so the church is busy.

This week, I passed out three Ron Paul bumper stickers and slim jims to Church members who I watched put the stickers on their vehichles. At this rate, we will look like the Ron Paul Church. LOL. I'm very pleased. Very happy my brothers and sisters agree with me, Ron Paul is the only candidate worthy of a vote.

Let us pray

May the Lord be with the Good Doctor...

and the Ron Paul Church! xD LOL

Big hugs to you my sweet friend

I am so sleepy 3,20am here in Toronto.
But before bed-time I wanted to give you some cyber hugs.
Your words are always so full of life & light & love & so uplifting.

God bless you in all you do.
I can now fall asleep knowing I did something on this day something more than just feed the poor hungry city pigeons.

cyber hugs*))

AH MEN!

Right... Because the power of prayer has helped

everyone that has ever been prayed for? Please don't waste your time, my time, or Dr. Paul's time with such rubbish. Go get delegate petitions, or phonebank, or donate, or hug your kids. Do something that makes a difference...

God's will for us is

God's will for us is infinitely beyond us. We can ask for his intercession but being beyond time He sees things differently then we do. You can not say "I prayed the rosary 25 times therefore I get what I want", No, you bow down to God's will and form a communion with Him during prayer and God will grant your prayer with the greatest effect on the saving of souls. Sometimes that will align with the specific prayer's intention.

"Incidently,

it has not escaped the notice of logicians that omniscience and omnipotence are mutually incompatible. If God is omniscient, he must already know how he is going to intervene to change the course of history using his omnipotence. But that means he can’t change his mind about his intervention, which means he is not omnipotent." - Richard Dawkins

"Get a billion Christians

to pray for a single amputee. Get them to pray that God regrow that missing limb. This happens to salamanders every day, presumably without prayer; this is within the capacity of God. I find it interesting that people of faith only tend to pray for conditions that are self-limiting." - Sam Harris

NOT FOR CHRISTIANS

Don't you have some nativity

Don't you have some nativity scenes to picket or something?

ahahaha good one.

I'll go now, tail tucked between my legs, shamed by your witticism.

Why, do you know of any on public land? I'd love to go protest it. As a libertarian, you should too.

Ron is still alive, isn't he?

Ron is still alive, isn't he? Anyway, not so nice to cut down someone's positive post like that, you killjoy. We all (that means ALL) have our roles. Are you the Sourpuss?
I can not prove prayer works, but I am quite certain that positive thoughts sent in someone's direction by a LOT of people can do nothing but good. Can't prove that, either, but it is my experience.

Actually, your experiance would be a

form of proof... I am quite certain that positive thoughts, and/or prayer (though I think the two are very different) sent in someone's direction by a LOT of people can do NOTHING.

For instance, pray for me to see the "light". It won't happen. Prayer won't work. Do something useful.

Light is Faith

Why would you want us to pray for you to see the light when you enjoy the dark? The dark is not dark to you, eh? It is your home, and you are happy there, even when you are not.

Many people work hard being miserable. They don't need or want prayer, because they are like garbage trucks without headlights looking to dump their loads.

Those with Faith learn to not throw pearls before swine.

I am not perfect in Faith and this motivates me to pray. You on the other hand are perfect in the dark and happy.

There is YOUR prayer from the imperfect me to the perfect you, Peace be with you

Faith Is The Absence of Doubt After The Light Of Reality Reveals

itself to your soul..Faithlessness is the absence of doubt in the presence of the light of reality..

That's it..

Now, go inside yourself (closet) and pray in secret so your father in heaven can see your sincere.

Don't be like the pharisees who make big displays in public, they have received their reward from one another.

While I am flattered

that you think I am perfect, I can assure you that I am not. Thanks for the condescension anyways, though.

I would say that it is you who has it all figured out, for you have god's indomitable words in front of you in the form of scripture. I adhere to the humble belief that what can be asserted without proof can be dismissed without proof, that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

My world is very much full of joy, love and happiness. Why would I want to live in your spiritual North Korea under Kim Jong-Jesus?

You don't get it

The Federal Reserve Bank Trusts in God. I don't "trust in God". I have FAITH that God's will REIGNS SUPREME, not mine.

I TRUST am an SINNER. I pray I will be reconciled and saved.

To trust yourself is like trusting the public school system to educate you.

You are not a dumb person. You are uneducated, by your own choice, in Christianity. Your flippant words may seem smart to you, but they actually show how much you don't know. Enjoy yourself anyways, 'cause this is it for you.

Peace be with you.

PS I love the fact Ron Paul brings opposites together in peace.

"To trust yourself is like

trusting the public school system?" Are you serious? I am dumbfounded by that statement. I don't know where to begin criticizing that nonsense.

I am not uneducated in regards to Christianity. I was raised catholic and know far more than you apparently give me credit for. Your condescending "holier than thou" attitude is quite endearing btw. This life. What you see around you. IS IT. I am enjoying it. You should too. Stop waiting for death.

PS I love that about Ron too

You can lead a horse to water..

I think we agreed in a previous post that Catholicism is not for children. Maybe that's why the Priest blesses children intil first communion?

The problem with some cradle to grave Catholics is they THINK they know Catholicism, but what they KNOW is routine.

I was baptized Catholic by my Mother's sister in law. My parents were NOT Catholic or Christian AT ALL. I was born in the USN and traveled, until I was 15 and ran away from home (a culture of death) where I continued to travel on my own, to surf and go to every Grateful Dead show I could. My worldly life is most rich by comparison to the majority. I know the world and I AM a SINNER. I work at not sinning since I woke up and began studying Catechism. It IS the most profound tome I have ever attempted, and I like tomes, Atlas Shrugged, GuLag Archipelago, I can go on, I love to read.

What I see around me is not IT for me. It's an illusion. I am like a catepiller and the Catechism is my silk, which I am preparing my cocoon for my rebirth.

This is IT for the goats. This is not it for the sheep.

Life outside the Church works well for my birth father, who appears as the most handsome devil, and he's rich and loves to screw everything and everyone anyway he can. He is a man of the world and I what I love the most about him is how he gave me the courage to move past MSM noise about the Church and complete my confirmation and first communion.

I thought I was blessed, and now I KNOW I am.

Peace be with you.

Ok ok.

What don't I know about Catholicism? How do I only know the routine, yet you have been blessed with the TRUE knowledge?

FAITH, I've been blessed with FAITH

It will be awhile, but I will make an effort to down load the Youtubes you've offerd, when I can make time in town. I live in an area known as, "The Lost Coast" miles away from town, near the Pacific Ocean and a lake, among giant redwoods and tan oaks, where I forage for berries, mushrooms, fish, hunt, raise chickens and trees, and participate in my Grange, a Farming Fraternity, where I can get help, if I need it, and trade eggs for meat, veggies... I chop my own wood, and need to get to work as the sun is up and my rooster is crowing to let the girls out.

"The Catechism of the Catholic Church", is adult literature and not in the Childrens Sunday School classes. RENEW is a Catechism work book program, that helps people understand, "The Catechism of The Catholic Church". I think it would blow your mind. At least my experience is cradle Catholics wonder outloud why they didn't "get it" sooner. As in RCIA classes, where a cradel Catholics finally attend to be with their engaged partner who is converting and telling them things they didn't know. Like how many symbols represent God and what are they? That alone can make you see life very differently. Thank you for the YouTubes. I will see them when I am able.

Good luck

with your style of living. I'm envious of your real estate.

I'll look up RENEW et al you mentioned.

I'm still having difficulty: how does knowing the trivia of the number of symbols that represent god change one's world view?

I apologise

I am not telling you my situation to evoke envy. I was hoping for understanding, why, I can not d/l the YouTubes you generously offered. Perhaps it is when one spends time among natural resources, animals, domestic, farm and wild, one begins to understand there is a bigger picture? That bigger picture comes through in many ways, some of it symbolic, some of it actual. Perhaps this is why rural areas have so many active Churches? Where else does one go to give thanks, or express sorrow, joy, wonder, glory, mercy for the mysteries or miracles one witnesses? Those things that are beyond reason. Like Saint Elmo's Fire.

What would science be without a periodic scale and it's symbols? How well would a scientist be able to communicate without it? The Church's symbols work much in the same way. To know these symbols, you begin seeing them everywhere, the meaning of many things in life changes once you see the symbols. As you know, The Church has a different calendar than the world.

Where would I rather go, the Church or the government? The government is not going to help me. The government helps itself. If I am having personal problems, who would I rather go, a Priest or a head doctor? If I really needed help, who would help me best? My Church or the government?

My Church enables me to live here. The government wants to remove all the people as if we are a cancer. The cancer is the government IMO.

Catholicism has outlived all worldly governments because it is a kingdom. I love my Church, and I believe the Church KNOWS what is going to happen to a government, and we see this government collapsing by design. I don't know how the majority will survive. But I do know the Catholic Church will survive, and it gives me great peace to know I am part of that kingdom. Your parents did you a great service. They have given you the keys to this kingdom. Those who do not have the keys have to work very hard to get them. All you have to do is reconcile. Others, it takes a year, actually three.

Good luck to you! Peace be with you.

What is a kingdom

if not the realm of tyranny? In my view, the government and the church are really no different. They both try to manipulate and control you. They both have rules you MUST follow. They both convict you of imaginary crimes. In fact, the State and the Vatican have always enjoyed a symbiotic relationship designed to steal mankind's individuality and their personal sovereignty.

I also think that historically rural areas are deeply religious because they exposed to so few ideas and philosophies. I wouldn't force them to be different, just try to persuade them that there is so much more to life than the 10 sq miles around their town.

You've been "blessed" (lol, irony i know...) with intelligence. I think it'd be a shame to not try to utilize it for the betterment of mankind as opposed to clinging to bronze age beliefs about angel and demons.

cheers

It's not irony

I find the Church and government very different in how they control. Chuch accepts your will/choice, even if it's wrong, and you say "Hail Mary and Our Father and Glory Be". Government wraps you in red tape, and fines you, or forces you through weapons.

One of the things I love about Catholics is how smart they are. Most have traveled, are highly educated, and they never stop amazing me in the ideas they come up with.. like, God is an ET. I love that one and it's very common.

Catholic, being Universal, I love how mass is made up from people from all over the world. Even in my area, the Church is full of many nationalities, and since Catholics love good food and drinks, we have awesome parties, pot lucks during feasts. Mardi Gras is Catholic. All the holidays, the secular world twists to their own, like Santa Clause, and now the Day of the Dead, Which is All Saints Day.. I almost feel bad for people who are not Catholic when I see them get into these holidays and don't know, it's Catholic. And like most Catholics, we just keep our mouths shut about it, since the majority of people are not Catholic (based on what MSM has to say, which is nothing good).

If you really like inteligent people, Catholic Church has plenty. Catholic Church has many resources. And the Catholic Church is the world's historian. Where I live, Mendocino, CA, I volunteer at the Historical Society, there are no records previous 1850, yet, because of my Church, I know families that have been here over 300 years. They don't want to have anything to do with the Historical Society because to them, it's not about history, but about making what the present government wants people to believe have "validation". It's true. I see more and more why Catholics would just as soon stay to themselves.

Catholic was the first world order.
