"Super Brochure" Promotes State ReligionSubmitted by Declaration on Wed, 12/07/2011 - 02:06
The "Super Brochure" promotes Ron Paul, a "Christian leader," for President in 2012. How much closer could one get to Church and State?
The First Amendment emphasizes the separation whereas the "Super Brochure" promotes the uniting of Church and State by emphasizing Dr. Paul's Christian leadership credentials as a reason why he should be elected to the Office of President.
Under the section entitled Ron Paul Facts, the brochure states he "does not use his faith for political gain." Yet, if Ron Paul approves of the Christian message contained within the brochure that is exactly what he would be doing.
To the author(s) of the "Super Brochure": Please take note of its contradictory statements with respect to religion and replace them with something nondivisive and nonoffensive.
To all those so enthusiastic about spreading the word: Please refrain from distributing these brochures and risk alienating potential supporters until this problem is fixed.
