Military Endorsement Press Conference?

Can we get the endorsement of retired generals and colonels? And not just their endorsement, but get about 10-15 retired generals and colonels to show up at a news conference with Ron Paul and tell people why he is right. I know I have seen at least a few retired generals and colonels on TV saying exactly what Ron Paul has been saying.

I think it would mean a LOT to people to see that kind of support from people with such honors from the military.

HELP

I remember someone mentioning that if you owned 7 guns and 10,000 cash on hand, you would be labeled a terrorist.

Does this sound familiar/official? Anyone have a link to an article about this or know more?

Please let me know.

End the Fed. End the Wars. Problems Solved. Ron Paul.

What I'm going to say is going to sound like stupid/tinfoil

blahblah to most of you guys, but it's the truth: All General officers and most full-bird Colonels in the US military have been contacted and briefed personally by the CIA on their obligation to include beyond retirement. I think most of these high-level officers know that speaking out for Ron Paul is directly against what they know the U.S. has planned for the future. And any of those high-level officers who have become blackmail-able during the course of their years will be under threat to have it go through.

If not the truth.

If not consensus then ignore it. If not blackmail then surreptitiously open slander. If not that then murder. If not that then you win.

Same process Ghandi professed of the truth.

Wesley Clark is a 4 star

Wesley Clark is a 4 star general, and has been saying EXACTLY what Ron Paul has been saying. There was a colonel on the judge today or yesterday that said EXACTLY what Ron Paul has been saying. There are definitely ones out there that even if they were told not to question things, would do it anyway for the good of the country.

Wesley Clark... oooh I'd watch that one. I know for a fact that

he is not a RP guy since the Bosnia days. What he's saying *right now* is what he's saying right now. What he actually *did* is the complete opposite of everything RP has ever stood for.

There are old colonels and generals who don't care and will support RP in a forum and such and that's cool. But these are mainly far older retired O-7's and beyond who have no fear of lifetime reprisals.

Wes Clark

Would make an excellent ally and/or Secretary of Defense.

not tinfoil at all...

...very likely the reality of the situation.

perhaps revpac could organize

perhaps revpac could organize this - it doesn't seem like something the campaign would pursuit

Very interesting idea

I imagine that would be hard for the media to ignore, though I won't underestimate their ability to do just that.

Yea I don't know how they

Yea I don't know how they could ignore it. I know Wesley Clark is a retired 4 star general that feels exactly as Ron Paul does. That is about as prestigious as it gets. And just today there is that video of a colonel talking to the judge saying exactly what Ron Paul has been saying. They are out there. Can we/the campaign, round them up and put them in front of cameras in the same room together?

Here's the problem

People need to remember that we are not yet in the general election. A Wesley Clark endorsement or something similar to what many of you are suggesting would be great in the general election. However, you have to remember that we are still in the Republican primary. Whether we like it or not, many Republicans are still stuck in the "I can't listen or believe anything a democrat says" mode. Wesley Clark is a Democrat. He ran for President in the Democratic Party a few years ago. This would be eaten up by Republican operatives and media people. Plus, Ron Paul would look like a hypocrite for going after Perry for supporting Al Gore and then bringing a Democrat like Wesley Clark on board. Think this through, because it would backfire badly in the primary.

A military endorsement in

A military endorsement in general would be good for Ron Paul. It is a way to prove he isn't weak on the military, and what he wants to do would make us stronger not weaker.
