Will the Constitution Be Nullified Today?

Acts of treason are being committed against the American people as you read this.
Today, the National Defense Authorization Act is in the House where they will be debating the intricacies of whether or not Americans can be detained in our own country if they are classified as a “threat”.
What this means is – if you tweet, or Facebook, or speak out controversially (much like this post that I am writing), then you could be seized, taken away without warrant and without Miranda rights, and be dumped somewhere for the rest of your life. Do you not like the TSA and do you say something about it? Do you think that Congress is doing a bad job? Do you think the President is doing a bad job? Are you part of the Tea Party? Are you part of the Occupy Wall Street movement? Do you keep a storage of food at your house? Do you carry a constitution and have a gun? YOU are a threat – and with this new provision, you could be taken away at any time without due-process. THIS IS IT.
What if someone doesn’t like you and tells government officials that you are a threat and/or a terrorist? What if YOU get picked up and detained with no trial?
This bill and its provisions actually passed in the Senate last week with a vote of 97 to 3 – this is real and is happening. Only three people in the Senate should be re-elected in my view. This is a complete affront to the American people – only three Senators had the tenacity and courage to stand up for what is right. Do you see how choosing a lesser of two evils for so long has brought us to this? This is evil.
Do you know that right now, vehicles – commercially marked and otherwise – are actually collecting information and used to spy on whoever they want? The scary thing is that this has been happening and is becoming more prevalent as we speak. I drive up and down I-25 and have seen the trucks and the cameras – have you looked around you lately?
I cried when the TSA agent touched me because I refuse to be scanned like a piece of meat at the airport, and today I sit waiting to see if there are any representatives left with the gumption, integrity, and foresight to protect the American people from this horrid piece of legislation that endangers us more than any terrorist threat could. It makes us slaves and dis-empowers us. It uses fear as a force. This is what tyranny looks like, and it is sneaking up on the American people. Where is the media – the fourth check on government? SHAME ON YOU. Shame on you for being a part of this evil capitulation into slavery.
My country, please, do not act in fear. Do not stand for this behavior. We are good and strong people and do not need these types of provisions and enforcements to protect us. We need love and peace and GOD – no government can protect us and scare us into this type of insanity. I am telling you, and telling the representatives of our country to stand up for us and do the right thing today and from here forward. We will not stand for this. As my hero Patrick Henry said, “Give me liberty, or give me death.”

Senator Brown responds to my letter
I sent Senator Brown a letter telling him how upset I was that he voted in favor of the NDAA. I didn't use the automated letters but went directly to his .gov site. Apparently he thinks I didn't read the act and is attempting to again suggest as did Levin and McCain that it only applies to non-citizens. If that were true than they would have actually written that into the bill. Or maybe he didn't read the act.

Here's my talking points.
SB 1867 which is now HR 1540 did pass in the senate with language in Section 1031: that America Citizens be subjected to the rules of war; That anyone could be detained indefinitely without trial for committing an act of belligerence. Sec 1032 prevents military custody of Citizens, but does not exclude American Citizens from being rounded up, and held in private custody under the rules of war.

to make this request but I'm so troubled by this and feel so strongly that it is of utmost importance that I'm asking that each of you vote for a recent post I made.

Jefferson will be suggesting directly to Ron Paul the most important talking points to share with the voters and my post on the NDAA has received only 10 votes thus far. The decision is being made tonight. If you feel as strongly as I that this is the most important issue and that the media has essentially blacked it out I ask you to vote for my post.
Please understand that this will not and would not be something I would ask but in this case feel strongly that it is necessary.

A 2 hour debate and not one mention of the NDAA!! They have essentially nullified the constitution and the media is complicit. Where is the outrage?! These are dark days.
Outrage
is right here in our hearts but we have to use that energy to focus on good and positive solutions that can be activated within our own local communities and governments. All we have to do is believe in ourselves and not be afraid, and essentially, we can abolish any of this at any time. We have the power!
I also cannot believe it isn't mentioned, but that is what wonderful sites like this are for. We will win, keep the faith!

If you voted for this that's all I need to know. Voting for this is unconscionable, unforgivable, and nothing less than treason. If someone who voted "yay" wants my vote they better publicly apologize in the very near future and write or support an amendment to repeal it immediately.
I think you missed my point entirely.
I said if this was the ONLY thing they voted against..meaning they could have voted for tons of negative things before they got to this one thing they did "right".
They don't get a clean bill of health from me because they vote for something I hold dear. This could very well be the only Constitutional thing they've ever done. Why would I want to re-elect someone that voted 98% socialist and 2% Constitutional?
Now if they had voted "yay" for this mandate..well that's a different story. They are history in my book.

Comments about donations...
My comments were only to encourage people to consider donations to other Liberty Candidates as well as, Ms Casida and Ron Paul. Targeting Ms Casida was unfair of you. So, if you view a one dollar donation as a threat to Ron Paul's chances, you might consider moving on because that lack of investigative judgment doesn't help any of us. Every dollar does count. Ron Paul has raised millions of dollars and other liberty candidates need similar support or Ron will find himself in office with not enough allies to carry out what must be done. So check out peoples web-sites, make your judgment and donate or not. I find ways to support over 23 Liberty Candidates that don't represent my state and I donate every week to Liberty Candidates and Ron Paul. I find the money to donate by doing without something from my food budget each week to pull it off. I was not demanding you or others step-up, that is your call. I am only pointing out that we need to donate across the board to win and win big. Wont you join us? By the way, although I don't see a specific endorsement from Ron Paul on the Casida2012.com web-site, I do see Ms Casida with Dr. Paul in a photo together and don't you think The Daily Paul would be somewhat careful about who gets articles posted? Trust, is something we need to revisit now and again. I DO TRUST, Tisha Casida from what I read about her and others comments who know her personally. Please consider supporting Liberty Candidates financially.

Donate Money To Ron Paul NOT to Tisha Casida
I apologize in advance to Ms Casida but we KNOW Dr. Paul's track record when it comes to liberty. And having a defender of liberty like Dr. Paul as president will go much further than having Tisha Casida in congress.
That said, I will try to follow your campaign as well. At the very least, it's nice that you're saying that you're essentially a "Ron Paul reinforcement". But talk vs action is a different story and I think people have very good reasons to be skeptical about politicians.

Tisha has already taken on her local government not to mention started an alternative media outlet to spread the message of liberty when the MSM have let the people down. If you think that Mr. Badnarik throws his endorsement around to just anybody you have never met him. While I am sure that Ms. Casida and myself may disagree on some subjects I have no doubt that she is genuine in the fact that she will defend your liberty till the bitter end. Ron has my support 110 percent but we have to elect a congress that will also support Dr. Paul in the restoration of the Constitution. Paul for president! Casida for congress!
