All Caucus goers: Pamphlet to use to sway LDS folks from Romney to RP

Hello all Iowa (and all other) caucus goers! I apologize for the tardiness of this post, but it's taken me longer to do this than I'd hoped.

I have created a four-page doc (which folds into an 8-half-page pamphlet) which gives some quotes from every LDS (Mormon) prophet either on the Constitution or proper role of the government. The pamphlet then gives some examples of where Mitt Romney has stated things that go against these teachings and other scriptural doctrine. It then presents Ron Paul and his 20-year defense of the Constitution. LDS folks believe the Constitution was divinely inspired and should be defended. If an LDS person doesn't know this, they will after reading this flyer :). It also gives a brief overview of RP's platform and signature of integrity as well as endorsements, etc. I had to fit a LOT of material in this little pamphlet so I couldn't bloviate too much!

PLEASE PRINT THIS FLYER OUT AND BRING IT WITH YOU TO YOUR CAUCUSES!!! Simply duplex print all four pages and fold page 4 to 5 and 2 to 7. Assemble so that pages show up sequentially 1-8 in this "pamphlet." Staple if necessary.

If there are LDS people present who are in the Romney camp, challenge them to take 5 minutes and read the entire pamphlet. If they then do not "see" that Romney would not be the staunch defender of the Constitution that we know RP would, well, they deny their prophets' words to their own peril.

Please keep this post "bumped" through the Iowa caucus. I'm hoping very sincerely that this can be used as a "tool" to help "unblind" some of the blinded Romney supporters or supporters who may be on the fence. Thanks!!!!

UPDATE: I didn't receive any feedback on whether to leave the verbatim spelling mistake (signified as such with [sic]) or fix it and annotate to that fact. So, I fixed the original mistake (from the quoted text itself) and got rid of the [sic] while annotating this fact in the cite for the quote. I also fixed "strawpoll -> straw poll". I see no other errors. I've uploaded this file again to the above places with the SAME filename. Let's get 'em!!!

Thank you! I hope sincerely that it helps somebody somewhere, whether its in a caucus or just a church congregation or neighborhood to "convert" blinded Romney supporters ...... time will tell :)

Thanks (see thread below--I know "pieces" was spelled incorrectly but that's the way Joseph Smith incorrectly spelled it and the quote was verbatim from WJS and [sic] was used to mark that).

I noticed just now that "strawpoll" should be two words.

What is your opinion about fixing the quote from Joseph Smith? I wanted to leave it as is and use the [sic] notation. Is "strawpoll" a big enough thing to fix or is that a "who cares?" Opinions?

That pamphlet is totally awesome, and I am not a Mormon. There are, however several spelling errors and a typo. Please review. The rule is this:

"I" before "E" except after "C", and when sounding like "A" as iin "neighbor "and "weigh".

You spelled pieces wrong, for one.

The spelling error is in the original quote from Joseph Smith and is marked with "sic" to indicate that this is a "known problem" but the quote was being quoted verbatim from the author--spelling problems at all.

Nice ... could add ...

One of the things that gets me the most (being LDS myself) is that Mitt believes "Life" is more important than "Liberty". For LDS folks liberty (or Agency) is far more important than "life". LDS people do NOT believe in a plan that "force" people to do right, but rather one that provides agency (liberty) to choose.

Mitt said about wire-tapping churches, schools, etc. during a debate ...

Mitt believes it is OK to take away liberty/agency to spy on us to keeep us alive - life is more important than liberty to Mitt. He said that in the "Live Free or Die" state (NH) too.

That is an excellent point. Rats .... I might be able to work that in to a "v 2.0" of it. If so, I will most certainly fix the "strawpoll" as two words. What is your opinion on the [sic]-notated misspelling from JS? Leave it "verbatim" or fix it and get rid of the [sic]?
