The problem is

These people in the audiences at these debates are NOT constitutionalists. For the most part they are Warmongering Hard Line NEOcons. Remember McInsane in 07? after he called for us to be in Iraq for 100 years, they Nominated him. All they seem to care about is NOT killing any babies here...but killing them and everything that moves everywhere else in the World. Just my point of view.

Well...

Ron is going to have to keep running ads and hopefully get some positive coverage from Wolf Blitzer here and there before Iowa. Fox News is an arm of the GOP establishment and will try their best to prevent Paul from winning. Tonight was his last national audience before Iowa and Fox took their best shot at him.

People are discouraged, but is this treatment of Paul really anything new? Fox has definitely revved it up the last few days, but Ron's been fighting this uphill battle forever and he continues to grow in the polls.

Also, I support Ron Paul through thick and thin, but the Iran topic is definitely his weak spot. Fox knows that and exploited it as best they could. I'm behind Ron Paul on not policing the world, but he appears to want to turn a blind eye to Iran and that just won't fly with a majority of Americans. Unless he can come up with a better, reassuring answer that is more palatable to voters, this will be his Achilles heel.

Blind eye

I would strongly dissagree. If you apply the same logic that backs your statement and replace the word Iran with the word Isreal, you find the exact same truth. You perhaps have been blinded by the Zionist controled corporate media propaganda. Look North Korea has a Bomb. Verifyed why is Iran so much more important? I say be a good neighbor set the example establish the GOLDEN RULE foreign affairs policy. Dr. / Congressman / GOP Leading Presidential candidate Ron Paul consistantly continues to do an exemplary job of explaining the correct path for the indivual sovereign people in the area known as America as well as sound advice for all of humanity.

RP did an EXCELLENT JOB of DEFENDING HIS BELIEFS

about the MUSLIM COUNTRIES....Michelle is hysterical and finely represents EXACTLY WHY the Republican nominee will be defeated by OBUMMER. The Republican Party is looking more and more like EXTREMISTS. Think of how the Democrats are viewing this display! So, the ulterior motive is in supporting the "status quo", and Ron Paul is clearly the enemy, but unfortunately for them, the public is seeing Ron Paul as much more "normal" than they are. THANK GOD!

And, I NEED TO REPEAT AGAIN TO MY FELLOW RP SUPPORTERS THIS~~~

The Media is MORE AFRAID of Ron Paul winning on a 3rd party ticket than they are afraid of Obama winning. They even implied that tonight subtly by suggesting he was "LEFT OF OBAMA", remember that dig?

So, no, their fear levels are reaching EXTREME LEVELS, and that is exactly why Hannity was dredging up any racist attack he could conger up, because they can't attack Dr. Paul on any other front. Let's get one thing straight. The Republicans are a MESS, and they are absolutely frightened of Dr. Paul. Period. End of story.

Personally, I'm glad Hannity brought this up, because, quite frankly, Ron Paul handled the comeback beautifully, and Hannity looked like a doggone fool.

Iowans must be seeing through some of this stuff~~~is what I think & hope.

I'm sorry but...

That wasn't good... I am so sad... The neocons won the battle tonight.

No time for Summer Patriots.

A preemptive strike against Iran promoted by the same guys who did a preemptive strike against Iraq because of weapons that did not exist is an immoral absurdity beyond credibility. We need only keep pointing out the obvious truth. "Who is this that is obscuring council by words without knowledge." - JOB: 38, 2.

When the student is ready the teacher will appear

You are not ready...

I disagree also. Sometimes

I disagree also. Sometimes things seem bad just because of your mood, or if you are not in the right frame of mind. I honestly believe he did great, and I don't always say that about all of his debates.

I couldn't disagree with you more.

And that easily fit in the subject line.

I would like an answer to this questions

If the congress declared war while Ron Paul is president does he have to wage the war as commander in chief? If the answer is yes: Then the whole question is irrelevant. If the answer is no: Then then how would he defy the declaration of war? See The declaration is what makes the president the commander in chief Then he must execute the war. The only way he can assume the role of commander in chief is in cases of an imminent attack on the United states of America. and can wage war for 90 days while the congress decides weather to make a declaration of war. Another thing we should think about is: Is there any interest of the United states outside of our country that is worth defending in cause of an imminent attack on said interest. Would an ally be worth it? would an outside recourse be worth it? would protecting citizens of the US who are in another country worth it? would our military who might be moving through a country or a body of water be worth it? These are some of the questions I have. Anyone care to give feedback.

Earmarks

Ron Paul's answer probably wasn't understandable to those who don't know how money is allocated. He should have emphasized that that money was going to be taxed and spent (no matter how much he wished otherwise) and he was just trying to get tax money back for his district. I think many erroneously thought that Ron Paul called for more spending, just for his district.

It is an enormous simplification to speak of the American mind. Every American has his own mind.

Did Very Well

I am so glad Ron got a bit agitated with Bachman over Iran. Anyone with common sense knows that it is time to stop attacking countries, and to hear Bachman be so pro let's take Iran out and anyone else in our way, just makes me sick. Has she or any of the other war mongering candidates ever spoken with the family of a US serviceman that was killed or injured over there? And she wants to have more non stop wars?

Earmarks.

Very concise tonight!

The contrast between Ron Paul and the others was made very clear tonight. Anybody paying attention could have easily seen this.

debate

Ron Paul won the debate hands down, the established order will not agree. When are the Ron Paul supporters going to admit that the GOP will never let their candidate become the nominee(think about the political imprisonment of Lyndon Larouch). He has to leave the Republican party if he is to do anything. The denial of this fact is insanity. We Independents will serve notice that our support will come with a third party run, Only. Forget running on the GOP ticket ,we will not support it. The Evangelicals have taken over the Republican party and we will have nothing to do with them. Remember, no matter what Limbaugh says the party can't win nominating Newt.

packeryman

Third Party is Bad strategy. Win the nomination.

When the Big Corporate Elites took over both the Democrat and Republican Parties, they also closed the door on the Third Party Option which has not been realistic since the early 1900's. In the 1980's when I was Chairman of the Libertarian Party it was a constant battle to try to stay on the ballot. The ACLU joined us when I argued the wording on the petition to get it on the ballot was making it even more difficult to gather the signatures. We got a hearing in the 9th Circuit Court and managed to get an extension of the time limit and squeaked by that year and managed to get on the ballot, only to face the challenge the next election. That game is rigged. But for the moment, the Corporate Elite has not yet closed the door on crossing over. Don't let None-Christian Christians get in your way. There are some Christians who get the Peace Message. A massive crossover of all Democrats, Independents, and Libertarians who love the combination of Peace and Liberty is our most realistic shot. If you truly love liberty why would you put an "Only" condition on it? Perhaps it is just a lack of insight in just how tightly the Control Freaks have barred access to the Third Party Door. I would vote any Party Label if the substance behind the label was Liberty. PRESIDENT RON PAUL 2012!

RON PAUL 2012.

4 million for the win in Iowa. Lets do this.

What's everyone complaining about?

I never watch these debats live since I can stomach any of those other A$$ clowns. I just watch the RP clips when someone is kind enough to post them.

So anyway, I'm reading the comments waiting for the clips to post and I'm thinking OMG, Ron Paul must not have sounded good tonight.

Then I watch the clips and Ron sounds great. INCLUDING on the Iran questions. When attacked by Bachmann, he didn't back down an inch he just (please pardon the sexist expression) let the pimp hand fly across her warmongering face.

People respond to conviction and the courage to stand for them. They respect it even when they disagree. Ron Paul displayed both in abundance tonight, as he had throughout his career in public life.

Anyway, in these economic times the "Ron Paul will allow Iran to nuke the whole world" argument doesn't have as much traction as before.

“Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.” William Pitt

I agree, Ron continues to

I agree, Ron continues to distinguish himself. What were the choices tonight, a constitutional dove or several like-minded psychopaths? This is why Ron can claim to be a TRUE maverick and how he can beat Obama. The complaining over Ron "not saying it how I would say it", is pure crap. He got to where he is today because he is himself. Ron Paul has proven time and time again that he thrives in controversy. So the neo-cons will whine, moan, and write bad articles about Paul, well what's new?

I Agree

I agree, having watched the videos I think Paul did great. Sure he could frame his responses better, but that isn't the Ron Paul we have grown to love and admire!

But yes, Ron Paul has to explain his foreign policy to the American people, but once they realize their is an alternative to the war mongering they WILL come around.

Right now, War and debt are a bigger threat to America than Al-Qaida, Taliban or Iran could ever hope to be.

I agree on Iran

On Iran, I'm 100 percent with Ron Paul.

Here's the thing. You're judged by perception more than by what you say in politics. Don't believe me? See Herman Cain.

I went and looked at all the clips from December 4rth back and Ron Paul almost never smiled. Every other candidate? Did. Not only did most of them smile before they started talking, they would smile while they were talking. People are fooled into thinking this is charisma when all it is, is some one smiling.

Ron Paul needs to smile or else people will think he's a cranky old man. He was doing so great, on every interview, breaking out the smiles. Every single one since the December 4rth debacle. Then tonight. Fox News. Again.

Thank you

I agree he did well.

he was great! Sad he was

he was great! Sad he was shut out for the last 45 minutes.

Too Many negative posts..

on Pauls Iran questions. At first he answered without directly focusing on the question. isnt this what the other candidates tend to get away with? Romney especially- ignores the question, gets applause; and the moderator moves on. It seems like fox was trying to dig Paul into a hole. They didnt succeed. To those of us that get it, Paul made sense. To those of us still sold on american exceptionalism, Hes a nut job. Even with a slick answer, those people arent going to get it.

It's unfortunately our job to educate people on some of these issues, I was one of them, I didnt completely agree with Paul 5 years back but came to understand him and now fully support him.

After lurking here for years and years glad to have joined the discussion :)

Dear Ron Paul

Please start smiling again. You brought back the pissed off look tonight and it didn't look good. You were smiling since December 4rth. What happened? Why did you turn back? Why did you let Fox news bring you down like that? Maybe you shouldn't go on fox news anymore if you're going to look angry.

You smiled a lot, I mean a lot in the last debate and it won you over every one. This debate? Who knows. I feel like I'm talking like a broken record.

AEI report on Iran

RP should reference the recent AEI report on Iran. This is the same organization that gave intel to Bush regarding WMD's in Iraq. They say that the governments greatest fear is not that Iran will use a nuke, it is that Iran will get a nuke and NOT use it. It will change the balance of power in the middle east and Iran will then have to be respected.

Fox Debate Strategy - Pump War Propaganda

Clearly there is a die hard Republican strategy to attack Ron on his foreign policy, since there is nothing else to attack him on.

The Economy is the issue of the campaign, however, the other republicans and FOX are going to attack Paul on foreign and will spout the Iran propaganda. I agree with the comments on here, time for Ron Paul Foriegn Policy ad.

However, I do believe the best defense is offensive, so I hope the ad attacks the others point of view on war and war propaganda.

"This isn't what the govern meant"

"Win the crowd and you will win your freedom"
