John Tate a spammer
Although I am for Dr. Paul, John Tate is a serial spammer. Just now is the first time I pushed the minus button for an article on dailypaul. Every time I donate somewhere Tate puts my email and mailing address on his spam lists. Even my work address and email. So at work I have to get these political mailings and it's hard to stop them. John Tate does not provide a phone number or email for himself in keeping with all serial spammers - they don't want angry calls and emails back at them. He just has a form page and doesn't take you off the spam list.
What a mistake
Asking for less money than was raised in 2007 is a total mistake. He should have asked for at least $6 million like the last time. Better yet would have been to ask for $10 million. How is getting half of the first one going to make this a "giant leap forward?" Nothing jaw-dropping about that amount. Or he could have not mentioned a specific dollar amount as a goal. But asking for half of the 2007 amount is horrible. Challenge people. I'm donating, and I told both of my kids I want one small present for Christmas and then to donate whatever else they would have spent on me to the campaign on Friday.
I know it's the wrong time of year, I know the situation with the economy, I know we've donated multiple times already, but almost everyone can do something, and many are responding to this money bomb with donations of one or two thousand dollars - there is no reason to be pessimistic about the amount that can be raised.
We need to win Iowa (which we will) and we need to do well in New Hampshire (which we will.) But we need to stun the morons in the media and wake the sheep with a money bomb that surpasses the 2007 money bomb. Yes, 7, 8, or 9 million would be incredible, and make the campaign happy, but 10 is such a nice round number, and will blow people away. That coupled with the Iowa win is going to wake people up. Now is not the time to set low goals for ourselves. Now is the time to dig deep and kick butt: Ron Paul in 2012!

Is buying Signs and Magnets considered Pledge?
I'd like to by a couple of more signs and magnets. Is that considered part of the Dec 16 money bomb? Or only donating money counts?

Could some of you veterans answer this for us newbies. I have given cash in the last two bombs - but I need signs for the truck and the yard - do these purchases count towards the money bomb?

My coworker once replied to one of those mass emails that the campaign sends out. He complained about some direct mail that he had received on behalf of the campaign. Specifically, my coworker said that the mailer seemed too pricey and ended by writing "Hey Ron, Your campaign manager is a f*cking hack!"
John Tate actually personally responded and totally put my coworker in his place. My coworker was so ashamed, he emailed John back and apologized. I read the exchange myself and have had a new respect for John ever since....

The Official Ron Paul Tea Party 11 Pledge Website is not meaningless!!!!
A fact, the BTO Official Pledge Website ended with approximately $587,500 pledged at midnight the day of the BTO Money Bomb back in October. As I remember the total raised was $2.45 million.
With the Tea Party 11 Official Pledge Site approaching $850,000 with 27 hours remaining I believe $4 million (John Tate's high end goal) is well within reach.
In addition there are already indications that the Tea Party 11 Money Bomb will span the entire weekend, three days in length.
The sky is the limit!!!! Please keep Promoting the Tea Party especially among your friends and family and on Facebook.
Christmas
I am seriously not participating in commercialized Christmas, I am giving my Family and yours a much better gift I am donating any money we may or may not have spent on Christmas to Ron Paul because I already know that if he does not win there will be no more of these holidays as they are now anyway.

I hope they're not expecting
I hope they're not expecting 6 million. I just don't think the money is there. Not trying to be a negative nancy, but with xmas and everything, things are tight financially and this time there are more continual money bombs. Which is a good thing and as it should be. But as a result it's almost next to impossible to pull in 4-6 million in one day. Just know that 1.5 to 2 million is a great day and we should not get discouraged.

Really a test of NEW donators
Most people who were on with Dr. Paul from the start have given close to what they can afford. This will be a test of NEW monies coming from new supporters. I don't think 6 million is at all doable - but if it goes over 3 million that is HUGE news(which will promptly be ignored) - but the point is - this will gauge the new support and hopefully back up the recent rise in the polls.
You Can't Pledge on the Campaign's Website
There's no link to pledge on the campaign website. Somebody needs to notify the campaign to put something up immediately as the video tells you to go pledge.

BTW cool to see reddit links on the frontpage :) reddit /politics can be a hard challenge, but we have about 1.000.000 in just this subreddit alone, and it's a strong indication on how well Ron Paul is doing among the regular liberal political participants! The last couple of weeks, he's been more popular on reddit than ever before. Exciting times!

I have requested of my children to make a donation on 12/16 for my Christmas gift. I intend to donate $1000 myself.
I know that a lot of us are hurting and money is tight, and the best gift my children can give me is to help me help them.

I would love to donate but I am much poorer than the 2007 bomb that I donated to. But I think RP supporters see that money is less important when you have boots on the ground and people working towards being a delegate this time.
Just give a small amount then like $20.12
IMHO Everyone can afford to give at least that much, just cut back on something if need be, here are some examples of what you could do, cash in some change, cancel your cable, eat at home instead of going out, sell something, do some work for someone, hell beg on the street if you have to there has got to be a way to come up with at least $20.12, are you telling me that if you lost that much money (or had an unexpected expense) you would not find a way to get by? Somehow I doubt that...hope this doesn't come across as mean, not being able to donate a lot is understandable but nothing? If you think $20.12 is too much just put in $10 or even $5 if we got a million Ron Paul supporters to do that we could break the goal with room to spare. No amount is too small I say come one come all!

when I can give it. Mostly it is $10 and I thank you for not berating the small donors. I think we had a good showing with the chip ins and got a lot of extra brochures out with the nickels and dimes.
Sorry it can't be more but I am in heat season and Christmas. Next month, no heat bill, might be able to give a little more then.

We have 5 young children....and live on one average income....and do not accept the aid that we qualify for....and we will be sending in at LEAST $20.12 on Friday (more if I can talk my husband into it)....if we can do it, anyone can....and I'm doing my best to bring in $$$ from my friends and family....I tell everyone I can about the money bomb, word of mouth is the best tool we have....
