A lot of people are asking how to become a delegate. Here is the link on how to: http://www3.webng.com/ronpaul/delegatestates.html
Please keep this bumped, or even lock it so people can learn and not ask 10 times in different threads.

Wait
The first step of this link is to call and ask how to be Ron Paul delegate. We need to be a LITTLE more covert in our actions. Claiming allegiance to Ron Paul is a surefire way to stop any GOP delegate options in its track.

How I became a delegate...
I voted on our election day here in Texas, March 4. After voting, me and my girlfriend went to the major highway near our polling place and did sign waving and parked our Charger behind us with Paul signs all over it. Then we attended our precinct convention. I am from a small precinct, so only 12 total people attended. We had 5 delegate slots and 5 alternates. Myself and my girlfriend nominated and seconded each other. During the convention we never mentioned Ron Paul or anything about foreign policy (this is KEY!!). We discussed "safe" things like illegal immigration, second amendment, and ending the IRS and federal reserve. We avoided discussing things like the gold standard and non-interventionist foreign policy. We identified 2 others (another couple) who were espousing libertarian leaning solutions to the issues. We figured them for Ron Paul people, so we voted for them (later we found out they voted for Alan Keyes, but they are libertarian and love Dr. Paul as well). The other delegate seemed lacsidasical so was hard to peg. The alternates were all more neo-conservative leaning.
Fortunately at district convention only 4 of us showed up from our precinct (me, girlfriend, and the couple we helped elect). We had a combined precinct since it was small and only 4 other people showed up. One lady had the packet in her hand and said she was a first timer and did not know anything about it, so I quickly swooped up the packet and nominated myself to be the delegate and also nominated the male of the couple from our precinct. My girlfriend seconded both nominations and the vote went easily our way. Prior to the nomination for delegates I did not mention any RP platform or RP himself. After the delegate election was over, I was a little more forthcoming (but not much) and discussed RP platform such as the gold standard, abolishing the fed and IRS, ect. Everything except foreign policy.
My advice if you are trying to be a delegate is to seem like you tow the party line and avoid any RP issues like gold standard and foreign policy. Save things like that for your state convention or the national convention. Since I am not going to national convention (don't have the time or money to go) I will be very vocal of RP platform at state convention (but without mentioning Dr. Paul). I suggest anyone going to state and not intending on going to nationals be the vocal ones and let the "sleepers" go to national where they can raise hell for us. Also, take a friend of your spouse or another RP supporter with you, so you will always have a guaranteed second and a guaranteed vote on your side!!
Excellent work!

Ron Paul supporters take control of Republican caucus
"St. Charles County's Republican caucus at St. Peters City Hall was anything but typical this year.
(...) The Paul supporters filled 241 of the 274 delegate slots from St. Charles County. At the county-level caucuses, delegates were chosen to attend the state and congressional caucus. At these events, the attendees will help select the 55 delegates from Missouri who will go to the national GOP convention, where a presidential nominee is chosen.
The scene was similar at other caucuses across the state. In Kansas City, Springfield and several smaller counties, Paul supporters represented the majority of caucus-goers. Some Paul supporters claim they have secured one third of the total delegates who will attend the state convention."

The GOP here is still playing games tho. Gotta keep an eye on them.
We can all say what needs to be done, but who here lead by example today?

its funny- the only thing the MSM is willing to print is that RP supporters are taking over the delegate spots.
