Politico Hit Piece Top Of Front Page: Paul Panic Seizes Iowa Establishment

http://www.politico.com/

--------------------------

SIOUX CITY, IOWA –The alarms are sounding in Iowa.

Conservatives and Republican elites in the state are divided over who to support for the GOP nomination, but they almost uniformly express concern over the prospect that Ron Paul and his army of activist supporters may capture the state’s 2012 nominating contest — an outcome many fear would do irreparable harm to the future role of the first-in-the-nation caucuses.

In spin rooms, bar rooms and online forums, the what-to-do-about-Paul conversation has become pervasive as polls show him at or near the top here just weeks before the January 3rd vote.

Paul poses an existential threat to the state’s cherished kick-off status, say these Republicans, because he has little chance to win the GOP nomination and would offer the best evidence yet that the caucuses reward candidates who are unrepresentative of the broader party.

“It would make the caucuses mostly irrelevant if not entirely irrelevant,” said Becky Beach, a longtime Iowa Republican who helped Presidents Bush 41 and Bush 43 here. “It would have a very damaging effect because I don’t think he could be elected president and both Iowa and national Republicans wouldn’t think he represents the will of voters.”

My comment on Politico...

"Conservatives and Republican elites..." You hit the nail on the head (not the coffin). For way too long "political and Republican elites" have been choosing our leaders (and choosing their own). They attempted to install "one of their own" in the Kentucky Senate race for Jim Bunning's seat. Oops. Guess that didn't work out - the people of KY had another idea (to elect Ron Paul's son, Rand Paul). It's high time the kings and lords of our "republic" wake up and see that the people, with their pitchforks outside the castle wall, chanting "Ron Paul, Ron Paul" are not fringe - WE are the mainstream, and they THEY are the fringe!

Yet another article not worthy of our traffic

There is no reason to believe any of this, these are completely unsubstantiated claims:

PROVE IT.

Lets work the comment section

big bump, thanks for the post keep up the great work.

The R3volution requires action, not observation!!!!

All I have to hear....

“It would make the caucuses mostly irrelevant if not entirely irrelevant,” said Becky Beach, a longtime Iowa Republican who helped Presidents Bush 41 and Bush 43 here."

Anyone who is proud of that feat and wants more of the same is out of touch with America and it's "normal" citizens and should be ignored with extreme prejudice.

Yup, Becky Beotch!

The New World Order clown.

And she's proud of it, too. Just like you point out, Dale.

The title proves we are winning

If we are "[seizing the] Iowa establishment", then we are preventing them from functioning as properly. Thus, we are winning the attack phase. Next, we win.

This is so dangerous

This is such dangerous talk:

The point behind this artical is that the caucus system is broken, outdated and doesn't work. The vast majority of the country never get to vote for their candidate, because they drop out after the first 3 or 4 states. And fringe candidates go crazy with spending and canvassing, and succeed in making the caucus even more obviously obsolete. With technology at the state it is in now, we could easily simply have 1 vote, all across the country, where each side simply chooses his candidate.

How would the country get to know the candidates if this was the case? How would we get a chance to expose all the crap on them? If this were the case, the media would have such a spectacularly easy job at smearing candidates and getting "their guy" elected.

Hell, let's consider that people had 2 years to vet Obama, and they still never did a thorough job at that guy. And this poster wants to eliminate that process to a single day? We have no hope then of ever finding out everything on these scumbags.

Also, if the party needs to change direction, like it really needs to in 2012, it would never be given a chance to do that. It would forever be stuck. Hell, it's stuck now honestly, and that is what we are fighting against.

If this was a post by a real person, I don't know what to say. This country, I think sometimes, has gone completely bananas and off the rails.

If only the people understood the words in print...

"And fringe candidates go crazy with spending and canvassing, and succeed in making the caucus even more obviously obsolete."

And that is a bad thing? These "fringe" candidates aren't backed by the establishment that is ruining this nation, so therefore don't have a billion dollar war chest waiting on them from the GOP or anyone else. I hope people are understanding this "little people's votes don't count" message that is between the lines. It should piss them off to no end. If I was in Iowa I would be ballistic.

Another Nevada 2008?

Remember what they did in Nevada in 2008? I wonder if they are making plans in Iowa?

“Wasting a vote is sometimes voting for somebody that you don't really believe in."
-Ron Paul

rest assured...

...derailment plans are in place.

We sincerely hoped the r3VOLution could be peaceful but, unfortunately "the tree of Liberty..."

"OMG! Just imagine if the people were allowed

to actually elect somebody that they wanted to restore their freedom, instead of one of our criminal vampires that are bent on world destruction! What would we ever do??!!" says the establishment.

The comments on that article's form are sick.

The comments on that article's form are sick.

Obviously, people that posted comments on there have been listening to fox news.

I fucking hate the media. They shape opinion so damn much.

What can I, personally, do to stop this short of moving to the United States? :/

What articles can I write?

Where do I post them?

Do I make another youtube channel?

What does one do to combat this?

I feel so powerless to help honestly.

Its almost as if they were paid to blog before it was published.

There were like 20 comments already posted the moment it was released, all bashing Paul.

This story

needs to be fought with a heavy comment bomb from the Ron Paul masses...so far the comments being left are of a delirious neo-conned variety. We need to stand up for Ron and demolish their illogic with reason and truth!

"I never submitted the whole system of my opinions to the creed of any party of men whatever in religion, in philosophy, in politics, or in anything else where I was capable of thinking for myself." - Thomas Jefferson

Haha now the neocon warmongers are claiming that Ron Paul

supporters are actually Obama supporters. What a joke. They are flinging as much poop around as possible to see what sticks.

It's not thousands of people that are standing on streets waving signs all over the country...it's liberal Obama supporters that are afraid of war.

Oh and the other line is that Ron Paul is soft on defense...instead of course of him being Pro-defense and anti-offense.

They say, "He is too weak to defend America".

Really? Are these people serious?

Sigh.

Fear, Fear, FEAR!

The politics of FEAR!

Don't you just hate how some of our American people have fallen so low as to lose ANY confidence they once had in themselves to direct their own autonomy?

Even with the hindsight of history at her disposal this Beach still stands up for these WAR CRIMINAL elitists!

Its just maddening.

We have gotten past denial (and ridicule), now is anger.

This is the next "Stage of Grief." They are angry that Ron Paul is gaining support and trying to attack the caucus process itself. Next, if Paul can win Iowa and New Hampshire, will be bargaining, when the other candidates and Fox News start to offer RP-supporters things to try and get them to vote for someone else. Like "looking into" stepping down wars or legalization of marijuana etc etc.

It is always 'the elite' that

It is always 'the elite' that they interview, apparently. Love it that they go nuts over Paul. Some or most of them are seeing the end of their luxurious era of being listened to and they don't like it. Which, by the way is a fairly humanesque reaction. But it is a pity some of them are trying to influence people based on their own agenda and not the one that is best for the country. Even that is not neccesarily Paul's agenda, but that one is way better than the agenda of holding on to past power structures..

Becky Beach should run and hide...

rather than own up to supporting these two WAR CRIMINALS!

Here's the truth...the B.Beach's of Iowa are now in the minority.

This is what happens in the minority, your candidate LOSES!

You can't spin a loss any other way...you LOSE!
