Fox Call Blitz!!!!!!!!!!

With about 85% http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=68161 of this forum's participants in favor of a phone blitz on Fox News, the BLITZ IS ON! The only thing that will preclude the blitz is if Fox News announces that Ron Paul will be included in the 1/6/08 forum.

Here's how the blitz will work: Calls should be made between 8:00 am - 8:00 pm EST on 1/2, 1/3, and 1/4. If you get a busy signal, try another number from the list below. Let them know how you feel about Fox excluding Ron Paul from the 1/6 candidate forum. Be polite, professional, but assertive. (My thanks to liberty_Forever for the contact info!). The more calls made, the more successful the blitz will be. Our goal is that the people on the list below won't be able to pick up their phone without a Ron Paul supporter being on the other end.

-- Mahatma Gandhi

people that say don't support this ... blah blah

Making lots of noise in the right way can be very beneficial.. we've already gotten press from this. And... I've actually gotten a few people at Fox that appear to be appreciative of my thoughts. This is not about Ron Paul this is about how Un-American this is.

Anyone who sees a news report on the Ron Paul supporters outrage over Fox news excluding Paul from the forum and thinks that this reflects poorly on Ron Paul doesn't have a brain and would never join our cause anyway. I think we have NOTHING to lose.

Do it with class and firmness and intelligence... when you demand respect over and over eventually it will come. Think about how far we've come already.

I fully support this and everyone should have a phone in their hand right now. Just be polite!

Just endorsed by Kent Snyder of the official campaign!

Call away, be polite

Don't support this.

I support the boycott of Fox advertisers, the selling of NewsCorp stock - but not this. This has the potential of causing blowback - negative press from Fox News about Ron Paul and his "angry mob" of supporters. (You know they'll make a big deal out it without representing the facts fairly.)

Bad idea, terrible time to take a chance of creating negative press for Paul.

Why should we 'play nice'?

We're going to create bad press you say. How, exactly? By making our displeasure known? By calling the people responsible for excluding the top tier conservative Republican from a nationaly televised debate?

Screw Fox and their advertisers. And if you don't want to support us who will use our voices, that's up to you.

Because -

Fox has a pulpit. They can spin it anyway they want, they can paint Ron Paul's supporters as an "angry mob". I am totally behind the boycott, it will get results if it works, and I don't see a way that can be spun negatively against Dr. Paul. I just get nervous when everyone reacts to something like this without analyzing what the result of the action will actually be.

Now, I could be wrong - Fox may well not want to touch this as a news item in any way, because it will draw attention to the fact that they are excluding Paul ... which they would like to stay low-key about. But if they do report on this Call Blitz and Hannity and those people attack us for "over-reacting", then this will further polarize people - people that buy what Fox's pundits peddle on the one side, and Ron Paul's supporters on the other. That is not what we want - we want to get through to those Fox listeners as well, we want them to believe that Ron Paul supporters are normal, patriotic Americans and that they should think about becoming one too.

That is why I didn't support this. However, my logic may indeed be flawed. At least I'm trying to think it through in terms of likely RESULTS, which is lacking around here sometimes. But since the campaign has endorsed it, have at it. Have fun, too (I'm saying that sincerely - Fox News certainly deserves to have their phone lines flooded).

Dude they started it.

Voicing our displeasure is not wrong. Hey they wanted attention. And if this pans out the other stations might pick it up to get us to swich over our support to them. I used to hate CNN but if they do a fair job with Ron as they DID by letting Beck interview Ron they have my support.

They are more then likely reading this right now.

CNN tell the truth and you got my support. I am on your XM channels as we speak. Now more FOX and friends(ENA-MEES) 4 ME!
