No brainer, its going to be...

Sir Ian McKellen... The physical similiarities in terms of looks and age can't be beaten in my mind.

Plus he is an excellent actor...

Jimmy Stuart...he's gone. How bout Tom Hanks or Patrick Stewart?

So...Tom Hanks or Patrick Dempsey in the remake of "Mr. Paul Goes To Washington"!

I'll even go see it as long as it's an Independent film and not produced by Murdoch and the MSM! LOL

Whenever I despair, I remember that the way of truth and love has always won. There may be tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they may seem invincible, but in the end, they always fail. Think of it: always"

Now this is a good topic. I vote Johnny Depp, He is a master of acting. He can take any role and make you wonder if its not the real deal.

Ian McKellen

They even somewhat look alike..........

Bill Osilly...

Living: Tommy Lee Jones

Dead: Henry Fonda...god he would be perfect.

"Good morning, Mr. Greenspan. I understand that you did not take my friendly advice last fall. I thought maybe you should look for other employment, but I see you have kept your job."

I will....

after he is pres for 8 years someone will need to carry the torch...oh, you mean a movie.............

"Vote for Paul if you want it all! Goodbye taxes! Goodbye big bro! Hello all my money! Oh! There you are freedom! What?! You have maryjane!?! Oh, wait, everything is fine now...the Doc saved America!"

...or as i like to call him, the worried sea captain...

Sir Ian McKellen (Gandalf - Lord of the Rings)

This is a no brainier that Dr. Paul should be played by none other than Sir Ian McKellen.

"It does not take a majority to prevail ... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." - Samuel Adams

"The use of 'Conspiracy Theorist' or 'Truther' as a derogatory -- as an epithet almost -- is something the propagandists have perfected over the decades, and it's a useful tool for eliminating articulate dissent."

Gandolph all the way...

The young Dr. Paul would have to be played by edward norton...he would definetly nail it...he has that same innocent squint in his smile and he always looks like he has a secret.

As for the current Dr. Paul, I think Tommy Lee Jones would do a better acting job, but the resemblance to Ian McClellan is just scary.

Anyone other than PeeWee Herman or Martin Short

Maybe Paul Newman, but he is such a socialist that the incongruity would be glaring. I like Adrian Brody.

"The deepest sin against the human mind is to believe things without evidence." Thomas H. Huxley

Optimus Prine

lol I can dream. Both great leaders that believe in freedom...

Pat Paulsen

besides, he already has experience running for president :-)

OMG, you are KILLING ME!!!

Just the thought of him sitting behind the desk wearing those slinky eyeball glasses makes me laugh until my sides hurt!

Harry Dean Stanton

I'm friends with Harry Dean Stanton's (the green mile and a million other movies) cousin (he used to drive a van at the hotel where I work). He looks about the part. I could ask my friend to ask Harry...

"Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable."- JFK

Green Mile?

Is that the big black guy with the pet mouse that was also a kick-ass football player in that Adam Sandler football movie?
