DP ACTIVISM: State Registration Slow Scroll Atop Front Page

I've been thinking about how DPers and visiting RPers can have easy access to states' republican registration deadlines to vote for Ron. I'd argue including open states, states whose party registration is indiscriminate to voting, would be a good idea.

My thought is to have a translucent graphic, say, five loosely connected squares with abbreviations inside them slowly scrolling left to right inside the DP masthead, under the masthead or near masthead to grab attention. (My preference is top or bottom left corner inside of masthead.) It would be a slow rotation, you can say. The state names displayed would be upcoming states.

The middle square would come forward a little, be enlarged and clearly visible while the two squares "touching" its sides would appear in the background, slightly smaller, a little blurred AND mostly discernable. The two outer squares, 1 and 5, wouldn't be readable, however.

The interval between rotation could be five seconds. Clicking any square would open the page for the deadlines but go to the state whose square the viewer clicked.

Usually I'm against motion graphics because they're geared to ephemera and flattery rather than comprehension and substance. Motion graphics are distractions, but in this case, in Ron's campaign and assuming they'd be done nicely, I think they'll help us RPers.
