The Plot Behind This Seemingly Typical Interview
Gloria Borger is married to Lance Morgan. Morgan is according to the web site of his employer, Powell Tate,“chief communications strategist at Powell Tate in Washington, D.C. He specializes in developing and executing communications strategies for public policy debates, crisis communications and media training.”
So who might be the clients of Powell Tate, where Borger’s husband is “chief communications strategist and crisis communications” adviser for?
Just about every part of the military industrial-complex that Ron Paul wants to shrink or shutdown. According to the Powell Tate web site, they are strategic communications for among others:
The U.S. Army
The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services
The U.S Agency for International Development
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce
and, I’m not joking, The National Pork Board.
Bottom line Gloria Borger’s husband is as inside Washington DC as you can get.

This was a total hit job, bringing up decades old accusations about a newsletter that everyone agrees was written by others, while Dr. Paul was practicing medicine. Further, as Justin Ramindo has clearly shown, most of the charges were made by people who couldn’t have read the
newsletters in full context.
Prior to joining the firm in 1988, Morgan served as press secretary and spokesman for the U.S. Senate Iran-Contra investigating committee, which was led by Senators Daniel K. Inouye (D-HI) and Warren Rudman (R-NH). He was a principal writer and editor of the committee's majority report on the investigation. From 1983 to 1986, Morgan was press secretary to Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan (D-NY). During his congressional service, Morgan routinely prepared Democrats and Republicans for newspaper and television interviews.
Before his Senate service, Morgan was a journalist for British and American newspapers.
He is married to Gloria Borger, Senior Political Analyst at CNN.
Sen Inouye is the dude that shut down that question during the Ollie North hearings about the suspension of the Constitution during times of emergency.

Just saw it. What a crock.
Just saw it. What a crock. Noticed his nervous laugh when the interviewer hypothetically called him an east coast conservative who didn't know what the people wanted. This guy doesn't really believe what he is saying, he is pushing an agenda to keep the powers at be in control.
She obviously is not an independent woman who thinks for
herself.
I thought something about her reaction to Paul was odd in the interview, but now it makes sense.
She's a robot brainwashed by her husband.
She was incredulous and insisting that "come on, you know it's relevant" in a tone like she was almost begging him to see it her way (or rather her husband's way) without the ability to make a convincing ARGUMENT as to WHY it is relevant.
She had no reason for why it was relevant after having been answered repeatedly, with no argument against the answers, because she has no idea WHY she doesn't like Dr. Paul or WHY she thinks the racist smears are relevant. She is merely parroting what her husband says.
And yeah, that was a personal attack. And it is clearly correct. And she clearly earned every bit of it.

The FDD, perhaps in an attempt to maintain some sort of "plausible deniability" has removed Gingrich's name from their organizational charts, however letters he signed as an FDD "distinguished advisor" can be found dated 2007-2008. The Land Destroyer Report had also cited throughout this year that Newt Gingrich was still an adviser at FDD, however the links are now dead.

I think everyone is overreacting
So she asked some qusetions about the newsletters, so what? It's out there and we all knew it would be. The real problem is that each question about the newsletters is just more time taken away from him that could be spent better explaining his foreign policy. I understand his foreign policy but only because I researched it. If I were the kind of person who got their news in sound bites from Rush I would think he was unelectable too. Nobody is worried about the newsletters, they think he want to give nukes to Iran. Newsletters are just a distraction.
If I burn to many bridges I'll never get off this awful island.
