It is ALL about Israel. Christians, please read.

I want to hear what Christians think about the Israel situation and how it relates to your views of Ron Paul's foreign policy. This is what the GOP is scared about in regards to a RP foreign policy. Just want Christian's perspectives on this, and possible talking points to talk to other Christians. Honestly, I'm still back and forth about this.

What is goin' on?

O.k... this! The ones putting Israel first are those following the old testament God verses what should be goin' on... the new testament God.

You know nothing if you do not know the difference, you know nothing of which you speak (threw in some religious lingo, for the fun of it).

"Jews" are NOT God's "chosen people"

Why do most Christians act like Galations chapter 3 doesnt exist? or doesnt mean what it plainly says? The promise made to Abraham was to his "Seed" (big S)"which is Christ," not to "seeds" (blood lineage). It plainly states that thase who are of faith are his children. The State of Israel that exists today has nothing to do with prophetic fulfillment. It is apostate! I am Israel! My fellow believers are Israel. We are "heirs according to the promise."

Wolf in Sheep's Clothing

I always thought that Armageddon was about destruction of the “world” against those who believe in Jesus and those who don’t. The only race/religion I know that does not believe in Jesus are Jews. Even Muslims, Buddhists, etc. recognize Jesus as a prophet, just not the only prophet. I think the MSM has infiltrated so many evangelical sites and promoted the propaganda that Israel is somehow pro-Jesus (i.e. his birth place, chosen people, only democracy in Middle East, friends of the USA, etc.), that they don’t know the wolf in sheep’s clothing.

I want to scream during debates that there are more questions about Israel than America ... something is wrong when we send our children over to another country to help fight their war (oops terrorism).

There are lots of interpretations of Biblical prophecy

but most eschatologists seem to agree that things don't bode well for the US. I spoke with a lady not long ago who felt that getting involved in politics was a waste of time, that a Christians efforts are better spent focussing on community, family and charity etc. This is true- but my answer is 'No man knows the day nor the hour' so..'build your castles to last a thousand years, but be ready to leave them today.'

Dr Paul is a well educated man and a devout Christian,

who knows what the Bible says. It's all fairly simple if you read Rev 2:9 and 3:9, as this is the only point in history where this prophecy fits. However, by being a Christian man, he is not about to force any hatred, but allow them to 'reap what you sew', and face the consequences. We are facing those consequences in America by allowing politicians 'to sew bad seed', which the Constitution in many ways was designed to prevent. We as a people, have failed to hold those accountable for the destruction of our Christian fabric, that made our country great, much do to the deception by the Judas ministries. If you desire to see the 'real' reasons Chritians praise Israel and praise war, watch this video by We Hold These Truths and Straitgate Ministries. http://vimeo.com/29901084
Here, are a few other videos that reference the same anti Christian teachings. http://www.veteranstoday.com/2011/12/22/what-hath-bible-twis...
Here, is a video by a great man who was imprisoned for attempting to promote the 'real' truth. He was jailed under the 'hate crimes' law, for after much investigation and documentation, by stating there were Jews killed in the Holocaust, but the 6 million number is severly exagerated. He is much like Dr Paul, who wants the 'truth' to prevail, not false agenda driven lies. In reality, Mr Zundel, is trying to help the Jews by warning them of a possible outcome, if they fail to speak out against the Sabbatean powers who will sacrifice them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGATDr0cDfI
If you don't believe the Jews in Germany were sacrificial dupes for the elites, read this article published by a top Rabbi in 1948. http://www.nkusa.org/Historical_Documents/tenquestions.cfm

It's time for Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindu, etc to unite behind Dr Paul and the Constitution. The Constitution is writen by man, but the underlying fabric attempts the best possible non-religous guide to act in a Godly manner to all.

The "blessing Israel" quote

The "blessing Israel" quote is where I think most Christians are hung up. The actual quote comes from the OT, Gen. 12:2-3, God to Abram (before he became Abraham) -

"I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you;
I will make your name great and you will be a blessing.
I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse;
and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."

Gen. 17:4-5 reveals that God made a covenant with Abram, in the process, changing his name to Abraham, "a father of many nations."

In Gal. 3:26 & 29 say, "You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus...If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."

These quotes do not mention Israel specifically, as Abraham was the father of Israel and Ismael. It does demonstrate that the rest of us are also considered sons and daughters of Abraham, through Jesus.

In Rom. 4, Paul shows that Abraham's faith was "credited to him as righteousness"...in other words, what we should emulate from Abraham is his unwavering faith and trust in God.

It is my understanding, and I could be wrong, that God will bless Abraham's "descendants" who also have the faith of Abraham.

this is the correct interpretation

God's promise to bless Abraham is fulfilled in Jesus. Scripture confirms this all over the New Testament. There are still those simply misinformed about what the promise was and how it was/is fulfilled. The fact that it's "national policy" to "bless (national, secular) Israel" is somewhat confusing, since it is NOT our national policy to worship Christ.

They are not Israel.

Today, there is the land of Israel with people who call themselves "Israel." But,who is really able to claim they are a Jew or an Israeli? Most people think the answer is found in one's ancestry (DNA), culture, ethnicity, or religion (Judaism).
The Bible seems to give a different answer to this question in Romans 9:6-8 (NASV): "They are not all Israel who are from Israel; neither are they all children because they are Abraham's descendants . . . ." It has nothing to do with flesh and blood: Read those verses in your own Bible. The children of God (the Israel of God) are the "children of the promise." Isaac is specifically named as a "child of the promise." Whereas, Ishmael (Isaac's half-brother and physical descendant of Abraham) was a "child of the flesh" and, therefore, not a "child of God."
Who is a "child of the promise?" Any person who believes God and trusts Him is such a child. Rahab was a Canaanite, but she not only became a "child of the promise," but an ancestor of Jesus Christ. Ruth was a Moabite, but she also became an ancestor of Jesus. Jesus might not be a Jew if it depended on His physical ancestry because there are other ancestors who are not physical descendants of Abraham. The Israel of God is composed of all those people in every nation who believe and put their trust in God through His Son, Jesus Christ.
If you accept what I have just said, then the people and the land of Israel in the Middle East are no more special than any of their Arab neighbors or any other people group. Ron Paul is correct to treat everyone and every country alike. "But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors." (James 2:9)

Ruling by prayer

It has nothing to do with the Bible or being Xtian

It has everything to do with MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX INVESTMENTS. If you are invested in the Israeli military industrial complex, you are seeking profit off war.

It has NOTHING to do with being Christian.

Define "Blessing"

What drives the offensive war wolf candidates like Bachman, Santorum and the Grinch is simply a spirit of FEAR, which is so un-Godly. They use this tactic to scare weak minded Christians into action at the polls. They clearly represent a continuation of a failed status quo foreign policy towards Israel. What we need to consider is the fact that Israel has yet to accept the One True Messiah being Christ. Therefore, it’s like having two unsaved friends who are constantly fighting amongst themselves. Our role should be as a peacemaker there to “Bless” Israel first, then her enemies. “Blessing” should be defined first and foremost as giving them THE GOOD NEWS OF THE GOSPEL instead of just giving monetary assistance. The Honorable Dr. Ron Paul rightly understands giving a one wad of cash to Israel, 5 wads to her enemies is not an honest blessing to say the least! Just because he would take away the monetary funds from all parties does not mean he would abandoned Israel militarily if they one day called for our help. The burden to truly “Bless” rests on the shoulders of the Church not the State. How exciting that we are on the verge of electing such a wise president that would indirectly support the Church to be what she’s meant to be in relationship to the state, the higher realm.

Israel is being surrounded by

Israel is being surrounded by multiple wars. Isn't it better for Israel to be surrounded by peace?

The last decade of war has done nothing but provoke Israel's enemies.

War or peace, which is better for Israel?

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

Israel wants peace like a dog wants a bath

The dog would rather roll in some other animal's dung to mask its own scent from its prey.

That is how animals behave and it is to be expected.

Show doubters this interview with M. J. Rosenberg

who is a true Israel expert and former editor of AIPAC's newsletter. He defends Ron Paul's position on Israel.

Israel the country is not Israel of the Bible

There's also a town in Arizona called Hell.
Those are my talking points.

Cute. I also might add, that

I also might add, that when all our puritain forebears named things in America - New World, New England, New York, etc, they really meant it.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

God's Chosen People

Is Israel supposed to look for the US to tell them what to do? (Clinton has warned Israel not to attack Iran).

Is Israel supposed to look to God and not the US?

In Christ we are all God's people.

If they just read their Bible they would know that Israel never gets destroyed. Bachmann and Santorum need to read their Bible and so do many Christians.

Phil. 4:13

Isreal has 300 nuclear

Isreal has 300 nuclear warheads. Iran doesn't have one, neither does anyone else in the region that could plausibly be a threat to Israel. It is a myth that Israel needs us to protect it.

I am sorry

but what almost ALL Christians fail to realize about the Hebrews, is that they were certainly chosen by God. In fact, they were chosen because they were the WORST of all of the tribes on earth. It showed his enormous GRACE by chosing them.

Here is my response to Israel and Dr. Paul

As a devoted Ron Paul supporter in the current election cycle, I am continuously bombarded with the statement, "I like Ron Paul's ideas, but his foreign policy - especially regarding Israel - I could never support."

Well, let's talk reality...

The United States is broke. B-R-O-K-E...Broke. We have printed fiat currency until it is not even worth the paper it is printed on and we are now in debt to a private bank (the Federal Reserve - about as "federal" as Federal Express) to the tune of a few trillion dollars - that is "trillion with a 'T'." No matter what position you take on Dr. Paul's foreign policy stance, we cannot afford to have our military overseas in any kind of conflict. We can't afford to even fix our own national highways, much less guard some other nation's roads. So, regardless of what you think we should do to Iran, we could not afford to do it. Period.

Exactly.Why can't neocons see

Exactly. Why can't neocons see this simple fact?
I don't think they realize what will happen here when the dollar collapses. Can you say the end of society as we know it?

as a Christian

who lives in hardcore baptist country I here the Israel thing only after the media has told them that it is important. As a christian who has spent his whole life in church I dont understand it. Only to say that some feel like the Jews being Gods "chosen people" need to be protected or God will not protect our country. But, that being said, I think most of it is just a vale to mask fear of Muslims.

Ive asked many about this and they repeat talking points like, "they are our only middle east alliance" etc. When I ask about letting Israel have their sovereignty or about Israels bad choices I really don't get a response. I believe most do not understand the close ties and basically see it as:
Israel=Jews=Hebrew=Jesus...so dont let the world hurt Jesus.

These facts say so much about RP's stance on Israel.

Newsmax: Some object to your policy of cutting foreign aid to Israel.

Ron Paul: I have objected to all foreign aid. I define foreign aid as taking money from poor people in rich countries and giving it to rich people in poor countries. We just can’t keep doing this. We don’t have the money anymore.

Stop and consider America’s policy: We give $3 billion a year to Israel in loans; and we give $12 billion or more in assistance to Israel’s self-declared enemies. Some of these are countries that say they will drive Israel into the sea.

Newsmax: What then, if anything, should we do for Israel?

Ron Paul: We should share intelligence for mutually agreed-upon goals. We should honor our pledge to refuse any arms sales that would undermine Israel’s qualitative military edge in the region.

But we should stop interfering with them. We should not announce bargaining positions even before she begins her negotiations. We should not dictate what she can and cannot do. We should stop trying to buy her allegiance. And Israel should stop sacrificing their sovereignty as an independent state to us or anybody else, no matter how well-intentioned.

Is Israel And The Jews God's Chosen Peoplel

If so the US should not be who the Jews look up to but they should look up to God.

Israel has all kinds of necular weapons. They could wipe out Iran in 10 minutes right now. IMO

Here is something I cannot grasp.

Below are some quotes concerning a certain point of view, which is rather shocking to say the least. Is this for real? Is this how the 'chosen people' really think? If so, why do people support this?

"Our race is the Master Race. We Jews are divine gods on this planet. We are as different from the inferior races as they are from insects. In fact, compared to our race, other races are beasts and animals, cattle at best. Other races are considered as human excrement. Our destiny is to rule over the inferior races. Our earthly kingdom will be ruled by our leader with a rod of iron. The masses will lick our feet and serve us as our slaves."

-Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin.
(In a speech to the Knesset [Israeli Parliment] quoted by Amnon Kapeliouk, "Begin and the Beasts", - New Statesman, June 25, 1982)

In his memoirs of his years in the White House, former President Jimmy Carter wrote that there could have been peace between the Arabs and the Israelis had it not been for the bigoted, Nazi-like racial views of Israeli's Prime Minister Menachem Begin.

Begin, Carter recalled, believed the Jews were a Master Race, a holy people superior to Egyptians and Arabs. Begin also believed that God wanted the Jews to own the land, so there was absolutely no basis for peace.

Regarding Palin: I believe we are watching in real time the rise of the third party, which will be controlled by the powers that be from its' inception.

Next Scam: "Cash For Cash"

If there is even ONE American living on the street...

...Then we have no business giving a penny away to ANY country.

Not that I agree with any welfare for anyone (specifically by the federal) government, BUT AT LEAST it would keep the money in THIS country.

Our constitution does not allow the government to take money from U.S. citizens and give it away.

It has nothing to do with which religion, country, creed, etnicity, gender, age, disability or any other "group" we should "support."

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
