A question for those more experienced with elections.

How does a larger support base prevent vote fraud? Can't they just substitute as many fake votes as it takes? Or can't they tamper with the electronic machines equally easily, no matter how drastically they have to falsify the totals?

search youtube for "vote hack" and "fraud" and such
They can flip votes, predetermine margins, drop people from voter rolls, they have SO many ways to get the outcome they want it is mind boggling. I get a lot of grief for it, but I only support Ron Paul because the people do not seem ready to self govern yet. Maybe a big in-your-face rigged election will open some eyes, but the way to have your chosen leader win the election every time is to be your chosen leader, for a nation with a population of one.
Ron Paul supports a new 9-11 investigation.

bump
Anyone?
It looks suspicious if the total number of votes cast exceeds
the total number of registered voters, so there is a practical upper limit to how many votes can be faked (except in Chicago).
It would seem like a good first-step
would be to position a person at each polling place to physically count each individual going inside to vote. That way, people would at least have a hard record of how many voted (total).
Discerning factually, who voted for whom, becomes a much more difficult task. It'd be interesting to set-up an "I Voted for Ron Paul" website, requiring confirmable names and addresses, so that we might at least be able to get an idea of how many voted for our guy (without having to rely on "the Machine" to be honest).
I tried to launch
an organized initiative to have all his voters (or as nearly as possible) to be ready to stand up and be counted. Either in person or by signing a sheet with their vote receipt number and was told it would carry no legal weight. I still think it's a good idea, just to show that we are ready to shout it from the rooftops if their numbers are skeevy.
I'll resurrect my post if people think it's worth pursuing.
