Today was one of the roughest days the campaign has ever had

Today was a rough day for us.

It seems like every channel I turned on either the TV or the radio was a Ron Paul bash-fest. Half the time I wasn't purposely looking for it, just channel surfing and I see and hear accusations of racism, white supremacy, bigotry etc.

I knew the attacks would be bad, but never this coordinated. It seems like Fox,MSNBC,CNN and every radio station was in cohoots to bring us down. The sad thing is this will continue for the next week until the Caucus. I hope the campaign and Super PAC can fend these off. I haven't even seem RP on tv for the last few days, usually he's on a show every day.

I'm trying not to let it get to me but when you are so passionate about something and then someone comes and crashes the party, it's a buzz kill. The sad thing is people eat this stuff up. I normally check Twitter and search Ron Paul just to see what people say. Normally it's 80% positive but today it was more like 5%. And that's being generous.

I think Iowa will be close. I know we will finish at least 2nd but with how hard everyone has worked not finishing 1st will be a huge letdown. Just like the straw poll the media will ignore a 2nd place finish. But I have faith that we can pull this off. We just need to stick together and continue to convert as many as we can on the main issues like the wars and the economy. I don't think we should let ourselves get overly distracted with this racism nonsense. I just wish whoever wrote it would step up and come clean.

First they ignore you, then they ridicule you,

Then you win.

Welcome to phase three.

And, Yet

He keeps rising in the polls...

Proving once again, that any media coverage can be good...

(Millions of dollars worth of media he has been deprived of; good thing we made up for it in internet postings and shoe-leather!)

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

We don't want bubbles...

...but rather steady growth, as you suggest. And isn't that a good sign of a healthy economy as well?

Just an observation over the past year...

Be STRONG, fellows!

Just as Barracuda-T writes below THIS non-stop mentioning of RonPaul's name on LSM is going to make his name a "household name" everybody, even the most apathetic couch-potato, recognizes.

What a blessing in disguise!

Now they only need to revisit the SuperBrochure info and meet pleasant, enthusiastic, friendly faces of Ron Paul supporters to REALLY find out who this RP person is and what he stands for.

Remember those days in 2007, when we hand-sprayed "google RP" just to have his name out? Well, now LSM IS bringing his name out BIG TIME. How lucky can we get ;-)

An Increase In Flak Means You Have Arrived At The Enemy's Base

They don't start firing the heavy artillery until they see you in the skies over their bases. This is a good sign, we have brought the war to them. What you are seeing is an all-out barrage. What I see is them running out of bullets right before Iowa. I hope this is their best assault. Because when Iowa happens, we will still be leading the charge and they'll be tossing their empty pistols at us.

The MSM started this assault too early so let them finish big and fast.

You know you're headed in the right direction...

...when you encounter opposition.

They wouldn't be bashing him if we weren't winning.

Remember this...

Once you go Paul, you never go back.

Most republicans are tired of the race card being pulled on their candidates... they won't care.

The independents and dems who are for Paul know better.

The people who don't either don't watch the news or would never vote for Paul anyway.

I wouldn't worry about the smears too much.

All the FRONT RUNNERS catch them.

Good Point!

Once you go Paul, you never go back!

But it takes some thought and consideration to support Dr. Paul.

That's why his support steadily increases instead of massively ballooning and deflating like other candidates.

Keep getting the message out! Ron Paul supporters are not swayed by media attacks. In fact, they are energized to support him all the more.

Buck up, Bro...

You have been around long enough to have been hardened to the msm crap that they dish out. You should also know that there are people who watch the msm and hold it as gospel. (The same ones who think WWF is real). We'll be alright. The message is right, the man is right and the TIME is right.

"Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is argument of tyrants. It is the creed of slaves." William Pitt in the House of Commons November 18, 1783
"I know major allies who fund them" Gen. Dempsey referring to ISIS

Did you think it was going to be EASY?

I don't mean to sound like Alex Jones, but we're fighting people with years of experience in propaganda and mind control.

The thing you have to remember is...

For the most part, once you "see the light" about Dr. Paul, no one can change your mind. It'll be the same way with people in the first few primary states.

We just need to GIVE, GIVE, and GIVE some more in the next few months to win the first few primaries. The campaign needs the money to run tv ads. Sell everything you have.

We have to CALL, CALL, and CAll some more in the next few months to win the first few primaries. This includes phone banking and call in radio shoes. Don't talk about conspiracy theories... know your sh*t and try not to sound like Alex Jones, but rather like a political pundit. That's what the people are used to responding to.

We have to BROCHURE, BROCHURE, ad BROCHURE some more in the next few months to win the first few primaries. This is obviously the Super Brochure I'm referring to.

We need to SIGN, SIGN and SIGN some more in the next few months to win the first few primaries. Wave signs until your arms fall off.

The next few months... up until Super Tuesday... are critical. We'll make it or break it.

Let's make it.

Many like to talk about war. This IS WAR but one of ideas.

If we don't win this, then It WILL BE WAR. Exposing the corruption is the battle line right now, and we are winning there.

Don't worry people

This will be combated by the campaign. I will bet that they have commercials in the wings waiting for the best time to release. It will be a compilation of his statements in support of minorities over the years and will present him as a hero of minorities. Ron Paul does not need to be defending himself in front of a media feeding frenzy. Wait till they show Mitt Romney with a group of blacks as he talked about bling, bling and and sang "who let the dogs out". Talk about a racist stereo type! Please support the campaign. They are doing a great job and deserve our putting in more money!! Ron Paul....do it!

IMO, the people are not

IMO, the people are not phased by the claim that Ron is a racist. Many don't believe. Many secretly sympathize with the statements that were made. The real obstacle to Ron's nomination is still foreign policy. If the campaign can be heard over the din of screams of "Racist", it needs to continue to clarify "non-interventionism" versus "isolationism". They need to continue to show why Israel is better off under a Paul administration. Don't worry about racism. Worry about the campaign being taken off message. The foreign policy still needs to be sold, and its not getting sold.

The logical end to a

The logical end to a defensive war is surrender.

All the GOP and MSM is doing is trying to move the war to a battlefield of their choosing. If we let them move the war to a battle about racism, we will be on the defensive trying to prove them wrong. However, if we keep the battle focused on foreign policy, we are taking the fight to them instead. They don't want foreign policy to be the main issue because we will win that fight every time and the war machine will be broke as a result.

perspective: The Making of a Household Name

Remember when Cain was getting whacked every other day? His web hits went verticle. His donations went up and people were trying to discredit all attackers. Turns out the guy was covering something because he had to drop out.

Ron Paul's web hits are going verticle. People are attracted to controversy. Unlike Cain people are coming out of the woodwork to vouch for Ron Paul.

The main thing is he has gotten millions of dollars worth of exposure. We think everybody knows who Ron Paul is. In fact most voters (from all parties) didn't know who he is.

Since we know nothing fatal will be found and Ron Paul will not drop out this is going to be the catapult that makes Ron Paul a household name.

When people look, a very large proportion will like what they hear. Nobody has more videos on You Tube. Nobody. When people see the dedication of Ron Paul supporters they will recognize that special quality Ron Paul evokes in people.

They will make the right choice.

The 'un-electable in the general election' issue will disolve like ice in an oven. While Obama puts on a phoney campaign Ron Paul will have a genuiness and a tried and true quality that people will commit to. Obama has developed more baggage and current resentment in three years than any president in history.

It may affect some casual

It may affect some casual followers, but anybody supporting Paul will smell the misrepresentation of information by the media.

PPP has a poll coming out in the next hour, so we'll see if they're having any effect. PPP's Twitter post says Romney and Paul are still the frontrunners, but actual polling numbers are pending. Gingrich has dropped.

i think the campaign anticipated this

and will come out with guns blazing tomorrow. i believe in Dr. Paul and the campaign. notice how they are starting to campaign a day later than everyone else coming out of christman break. I'm hopeful.

atched and heard a lot of the

I heard a lot of the smears today and have noticed one thing... It's all opinion with no facts behind it...! I think the American people are smarter than that now a days...! :-)

I don't have cable but I

I don't have cable but I watched the network news the past two nights. No mention of the newsletters or racism. A few passing mentions of Paul but otherwise still acting almost like he doesn't exist. Fine with me. :-)

Our local Fox affiliate has

Our local Fox affiliate has been putting up the graphic showing Paul with 24%, Romney with 20%, and Getrich with 15%. So we are getting a lot of pro-Paul on our station and it is great to see.

My bit of activism to fight this crap was frustrating.

I keep this talk radio guy going for over 15 minutes on the air, but to no avail in terms of getting him to reconsider calling Ron Paul the "r" word.

My email to him that he read on the air that prompted my phone call after he challenged me to come out from behind my mouse and keyboard:

I’m an avid listener of your show, but your smearing of Ron Paul is very poor form.

Why are you dredging the same “political swamp," just like the MSM?
I thought that you were the best “alternative” news source.
Why are you reporting on this crap, JUST LIKE THE MSM?
I can already get this crap from them!
I would not expect this hate speech against Ron Paul from you!

The question is

Why all of these Leftist tactics from 'Conservatives'?

The real question is

The real question is "Why do you think these tactics are only those of Leftists"? Have you ever listened to Hannity? Just because somebody has a good number of correct positions on issues does not mean they are above smears and tricks against people they disagree with.

The answer is...

...tactics are not aligned by political party. The same tactics are used by both parties to achieve their ends.

Just a thought....

but perhaps you need to consider watching and listening less.

Question SpaceCowboy: Do we need to keep in touch with....

what kind of crap is disseminated to the sheeple? We need to know to better prepare to fight back. Agree that this is tough to listen to, but knowledge is power.

I just happen to believe it's far healthier in a number of ways to get it from secondary sources to avoid the stress and nonsense that goes with getting it from the primary sources, that's all.

That stuff will make one sick and kill your spirit, IMO.

I don't, really (as the other

I don't, really (as the other side of this debate). We happen to KNOW our candidate, so we already know what they will say. You think people read the comments and it is important to rail against the OP or talking head. I disagree. If they come onto the web, and IF they read the article (because it is VERY low in traffic, like on the third page) and there are NO comments, pro Paul, I bet they do another search and see a HUGELY popular article on the top with tons of good comments..they will forget about the other just like we did. That is my opinion.

That's ok.

You're free to disagree.
