GOP Delegates

Can anyone provide information on how the delegate scenario works? All states vote in primaries (or caucus) and the delegates take that info. (supposedly) into account to determine the nominee in that respective state?

And where do these delegates come from and how many from each state?

Please shed some light on this issue for all as it may be the difference in winning the primary as has been suggested, but with no great detail attached.

I agree i've had it explained to me but it is confusing

Someone should make a video that step by step explains how to become a delegate be it local regional or national and what will your duties be once you become one. Most people will not commit to something if their not sure what the demand on them will be. Not everyone has unlimited time and money. It would be nice to get it out in the open what it would cost in time and money to go through these steps and the method used to get there once you commit.
