"They Don't Hate Us Because We're Bombing Them"

I actually heard Mark Belling say this when he was sitting in for Rush Limbaugh today.

What planet is he from?

YouTube Video Responding To Mark Belling

I JUST Did A Video Responding Too Belling (NSFW)

BTW, Not Safe For Work.

He got me cursing. I'm (not) sorry for cursing but I can't even fathom what's in this guys head. He's so far down the America-can-do-no-wrong rabbit hole that any and everything we do is okay.

That would be

a great Saturday Night Live skit. Did he really say that?

That is possibly the most

That is possibly the most absurd comment of the decade.

What planet is he from?

Apparently they hate us

because we aren't bombing them enough.

Get with it

If the bombs come from America, they love them!

In Neo-Con Fairy Land, up is down!

Freedom - Peace - Prosperity

Well, since we're in a liquidity trap!

Up IS down, just ask Paul Krugman! Haha, sorry, couldn't resist the O/T reference.

"Wars are poor chisels for carving out peaceful tomorrows." - Martin Luther King, Jr.

Of course not

I'm sure they're completely cool with it. It's not really enough to help the terrorists decide who they will attack. :-P

It's called American Exceptionalism

Crash into the Twin towers, that is called terrorism and barbaric. And rightly so. Same with the bombing of Guernica, Warsaw, Amsterdam, Pearl Harbor, the London Blitz, etc.

But when we, the good guys wearing the white hats, fire bomb Dresden, Tokyo, nuke Hiroshima and Nagasaki, shock and awe Iraq back into the stone age, and kill innocent civilians "liberating" Libya, why, that is exceptional, as in the exception from the moral law because its them that are dying, not us.

Not only was aerial bombing foreseen as a means of destroying the industrial war capacity of a nation, but to break the will of its' citizens to fight. But history has proven that short of nukes, that conventional bombing only increased the people's will to resist. The only reason nukes work is because using them means its no longer war, but genocide. Doesn't really leave anyone from the other side left to get upset and resist.

But hey, we need someway to clear out old inventory of munitions off the selves, to allow the military industrialists to make a killing selling new replacement stock. It's a profit that someone has to die for, so why not bomb people we don't know 4,000 mile as away? Out of sight, out of public's mind and thus, horror and outrage with what is done with their tax dollars.

They hate us because we like Chicken McNuggets

and Beef Jerkey.

And are prosperous enough

to shop at WalMart and BestBuy.

The law cannot make a wicked person virtuous…God’s grace alone can accomplish such a thing.

I hate our government for

I hate our government for killing these innocent civilians (amongst other reasons)...I can only imagine how they feel.

I'll always love America though!

I also love how Dr. Paul answers the "You think America caused 9/11" questions?

Dr. Paul: "No, America is you and I...we didn't cause 9/11. Our government's policies CONTRIBUTED to it though"

“Let it not be said that no one cared, that no one objected once it’s realized that our liberties and wealth are in jeopardy.”
― Ron Paul

only did our governments policy cause 911 our governments ACTIONS and IN-ACTIONS caused 911. RP2012 Where Was NORAD?

9/11 was an inside job .....time to get some answers..RP 2012

Ron Paul is RIGHT ON

I don't hate our government. I HATE the misery our government has established with it's errors away from Constitutional and Bill of Rights, Rule of Law, and Christian values.

I'm happy we have a government that gives us the opportunity to put Ron Paul in the office of president, and that we may join and take over the GOP, making it a Ron Paul Republican Party.

loving america does NOT require loving this corrupt government

how can we respect "our" government when we don't even have fair and honest elections?? nobody wants to admit it, but there was absolutely NO EXCUSE for nuking 2 japanse cities of mostly innocent civilian populations. one of the most sinister crimes against humanity of all time.

I totally agree,

but I don't consider the U.S. government "our" government. It sure isn't mine and I'd never lay claim to it.

"For having lived long, I have experienced many instances of being obliged, by better information or fuller consideration, to change opinions, even on important subjects, which I once thought right but found to be otherwise." - Benjamin Franklin

U.S. government is my government

Obama is my president. Ron Paul is my political leader and whom I support to replace President Obama.

I do not agree with MY government, nor my Church, or Ron Paul for that matter, on all issues. But I do not renounce my government. Like Ron Paul I am working to change my government.

I do not want the UN or UN loyalists, or China or people who are NOT U.S. voters changing MY government.

This is MY government and I'm with Ron Paul in restoring MY government to it's Constitutional and Bill of Rights, just money standard.

I'm sorry to hear that.

Of course, I don't want the U.N. or any other outside entity involved in my affairs either, but I stand by my statement.

Why, Mark Belling's from Planet Santorum, of course!

Why, Mark Belling's from Planet Santorum, of course!

Planet Santorum: A liquidy, greasy ball of cowardly yellow bowel effusions floating out beyond the realm of sense and sensibility.

Planet Santorum!!

Its sister satellite, Planet Bachmann, was catapulted onto a collision course with a black hole of insanity.

Dunno. I'm not an astronomer -- or proctologist.

Oh. How should I know? I'm not an astronomer -- or proctologist, for that matter.

"Cowards & idiots can come along for the ride but they gotta sit in the back seat!"

Hahhaaaaaaa OMG

that is classic

Yeah, he said that just before talking to me

here is the audio link. Not that you want to listen to Mark over again.

I was so happy when Belling went to calls and you came on to defend our hero.

May our efforts in support of Congressman Ron Paul be blessed with supernatural success.

for the link, I always like to hear for myself :)

No, of course not.

I mean, who would hate someone for that? Doesn't everybody appreciate it when you murder their innocent family and friends, destroy their country, alter their lifestyles and culture and means of production in their attempt to prosper and better their chances of profitability, tell them what they can and can't do, etc., etc. etc.?

What an idiot. I'll bet he did Rush proud.

"I don't hate you because you killed my family. I hate you because you are free."

Cause and Effect:

I'm sure Mark is coming from the ignorant perspective that we're bombing them in REACTION to 9/11, which of course completely disregards our meddling overseas for MANY DECADES NOW.

The more ignorant you are, the less you know about the reality of cause and effect when it comes to U.S. foreign policy

As a former Christian, this is what I don't get about politics....

If you are a real Christian, wouldn't you adhere to the Golden Rule? Or does "Do unto others....." not apply to foreign nations and people who are different from us.

I think this is one argument where RP has fallen short in describing....he'll rush through an answer, he'll mention it " what would we think...?"

But I've thought he's always just better off by going "OK, let me answer your question this way. Would you like a foreign country forcibly imposing their views on you? Would you want them to be in your back yard, armed, and patrolling your streets...and every now and then a bomb goes off?"

I think it's that simple and I think his Iowa Caucus speech should heavily lean towards the Golden Rule as it relates to Foreign Affairs (and really, all sort of policy---I wouldn''t want someone in the Government imposing their views on me much like I don't like imposing my views unto others)

My two cents..... Golden Rule it RP!!! And this is coming from a non-believer
