What will be the spin when Dr. Paul takes 1st or 2nd tomorrow?

Tomorrow evening (1/03/07) will be such a great time watching the babbling idiots of the Mainstream Media try to explain why their polls were so far off target.

For fun, how do you think they will explain their buffoonery?

It is incredible.... while

It is incredible.... while working out on the treadmill at our company gym a few minutes ago, the TV was set to FOXNEWS. Thirty minutes on the treadmill and not one mention of Ron Paul. They were gushing over how Romney and Huckabee were dissing each other, and even getting Freddy a glowing report, but not one mention of Ron Paul. I tell ya, these guys are scared to death and are in a last ditch effort to distract the voters from our good Dr.

Odds-Makers

have RP coming in 3rd in Iowa and NH. They believe after this RP will be seen as a more viable candidate among a broader electorate causing him to place higher in other states.

Huckabee is faltering

Look at his Intrade totals. Falling!

meanwhile, lets give RP a boost REGARDLESS of what happens, donate NOW for a spontaneous money boost to the campaign.

What better way to show support for the first patriots casting ballots than to vote with our fiat dollars and spread the word...

Peace,
Kemp

A 3rd place finish would be MASSIVE

Like many others have said, this is all about expectations. The mainstream does not expect Ron Paul to do so well, and they expect McCain to get 3rd place in Iowa. If Ron Paul got 3rd in Iowa, he would make plenty of news and deal a crippling blow to McCain going into NH, where McCain is supposedly doing well.

And, please temper your own expectations. Don't be disappointed if we don't get 1st or 2nd.

Everyone needs to temper

Everyone needs to temper expectations and maybe even rethink the goal of the campaign. As a long time Libertarian, Paul's campaign has been absolutely electric for Libertarian philosophy and a return to our nation's Constitutional roots. This really is the most important election of our lives and the repercussions may continue to be felt for the next 50 to 100 years.

3rd at best

You think we can beat the Huckster or Romney? Get your head out of your behind - 3rd would be splendid.

We don't own any cable TV station, Major Newspapers, Radio stations or National News web sites other than DailyPaul and LewRockwell.

Ron Paul for Peace!

3rd is GOLD!

I personally think 1st/2nd would peak us too early.

We would get CRUSHED by the MSM with a 1st/2nd.

I am hoping for a Huckabee/Romney/Paul/McCain/Thompson/Guiliani finish.

If we finish 4th after McCain, I think we're at least alive for the next round.

Hello to everyone, and my guess.

Hello to the Ron Paul Revolution, This is my very first post, comment or contribution to the rEVOLution grassroots or otherwise. I first heard about DR. PAUL
from the Bill Myers show, I was intrigued but still skeptical when he was there, then in May 07 I saw the Debate and was surprised afterwards. While looking at others I put my eye on DP from time to time and gradually started to "convert"(and there is no other word or better for it) to his message . I started to pay far more attention to DP and monitor his campaign and the grassroots movement then when you remarkable people raised the $4+mill and the $6+mill and I saw the contrast vrs. the other "candidates" funds I began to believe the straw polls and see that Dr.Paul does have a rEVOLution! Then I watched eagerly as the 4th quarter numbers came in(at least so far). I waited and maybe it is the last vestiges of skepticism in me to doubt that such a things as unicorns really do exist,or as we know them an honest politician(yes, Virgina Santa really does exist). So I make my first contribution here and now and by doing so cast my political choice. I was waiting till after tomorrow and then see what kind of fizzle or firestorm was about go unlamented by the world or sweep through this nation like an avalanche off a glacier ,respectfully. But I decided that I needed to make a decision NOW. Let it not be said that I joined the bandwagon when it was popular but before in the sense of MSM popular, while a little late, better that then never.
I wanted to say this because I hate to repeat myself too much and I can just direct people to this post in the future.

That said, while I don't agree with Dr.Paul on EVERYTHING. I do find him simply to be a man of honor and so I think that without MSM attention (at least no where near the level he deserves) He will get 3rd in Iowa if the weather isn't too bad and the other supporters for other the "candidates" come out in droves. If not ,then at least 2nd. I think that 1st is possible if his support in Iowa is very underestimated and the weather is bad. And "Young People" really do come out the woodwork so to speak with their not counted in polls cellphones. And if what I read is true that you can absentee ballot online over the net then he will SWEEP with a landslide. If the weather is nice then and the other candidates get their full support 4th is possible but I don't see 5th or lower happening unless the election was rigged.
So 3rd is the most likely to occur with my present knowledge. And as for NH 2nd, following the same probabilities. And while I don't have a crystal ball so I could be wrong I'm willing to bet on this.
F.Y.I. It is going to be Obama vrs. Paul in the general election, maybe I'll explain that some other time.

P.S. IOWA BRING A CAMERA OR VIDEO RECORDER AND DOCUMENT THIS IF YOU CAN!!!!

Welcome Bfrank to the Revolution

I say we will take second and then OMG they will admit voter fraud, of course if we do not place well the system is not broke by way of the MSM viewpoint.

Dear bfrankismycuz

Thank you for your contribution and may I be the first to say welcome aboard soldier. I am pleased that you have joined the revolution as are my other millions and millions brothers and sisters.

michael

nah

They'll just talk about how bad everyone else lost in the Republican race, and barely mention Ron Paul as a footnote.

"Romney Loses!"

"Underdog Huckabee Gets Second!"

Then talk the rest of the day about the Democrats.

My $0.02, adjusted for inflation.

i think we'll be accused of

i think we'll be accused of performing witchcraft on dug up dead people, effectively turning them into passionate, informed, libertarian deranged zombie voters from mars!

Psh, more MSM lies.

If they were from Mars they wouldn't be able to vote! The MSM can never get their facts straight, sad really...

ROTFL, NICE!!!

I second that!

its just a bunch of

its just a bunch of spammers.

This is just 1 state, folks.

This is just 1 state, folks. Don't expect too much.

Spin zone

They'll probably blame it on the terrorists, and give more reasons why everyone should vote for Romney or Guiliani. Or, they'll say that RP's fanatic, crazy supporters must have kidnapped a bunch of talk show hosts and forced them to cacaus for RP. Or they'll totaly ignore RP, and talk about who won as runner up in Iowa.

It's not that important

Iowa isn't a big deal, whatever...

In the grand scheme of

In the grand scheme of things maybe not, but it will be important to the moral of the revolution.

tiny little purple aliens

from the planet Paul-ton crawled into the unhackable voting machines or paper ballots and tapped dance using their itsy bitsy feet to change the count to favor Dr. Paul. You heard it first right here on Faux news.

point taken ...

"they" will find a way to marginalize the good showing no matter win, place or show.

So we'll just have to keep showing them!

Ron Paul for Peace!

They Won't Explain Anything!

One thing they will not do is admit that they were wrong. What they may do is act surprised that so many of us are "uninformed" or "idealistic". When we, the Ron Paul Revolution, rocks the elites' reality tomorrow and then Tuesday in New Hampshire, watch for the gloves to really come off by the FOE News Network and their ilk.

When Dr. Paul places 2nd or 1st, that is not the time to only rejoice. Yes rejoice but then prepare for battle. It's like an army taking one hill and celebrating, but then the commander say, "We're not finished yet warriors. There is a larger hill with stronger defenses we must overtake. Rejoice for this one victory, but then steel your minds for the next battle."

Together we will have victory, but expect harsh resistance.

Condescension

You know, of all the obnoxious habits that pseudo-intellectuals have, that attitude that anyone who doesn't agree with them must be stupid or misinformed is the one that really bugs me the most.

One theme I see over and over in the blatherings of the socialists, is the deep contempt they have for the people, starting with calling us the "masses". It goes hand-in-hand with their desire for power; after all, if we're equals, who are they to tell us what to do?

More than that, to them we are "The Great Unwashed Masses"

The Spin?

The rEVOLution baby!

:-)

One word: Caucus-bots

If Paul does surprisingly well, the talking heads will say:

1) caucuses are very unrepresentative (highly motivated white males, etc)

2) the campaign must have bused in people from out-of-state to caucus (seriously, there have been accusations in past caucuses and the Iowa parties had to tighten procedures)

Of course, if McCain is the big surprise, they will say:

1) caucuses are very deliberative and have well-informed participants

2) you can't fake a good organization, so the winner must be for real
