Ron Paul Supporters - Start Running For Office!

I'm calling on all Ron Paul supporters, young and old to start running for office. Start off small. Start off at the local government to get experience like Town Council. Rise up. Be honest. Smile and talk to people. Shake their hands. Use your libertarianism to guide you.

No matter what happens with Ron Paul now, if all of the Ron Paul supporters start running for office in every state and every town, our country will be better off in the long run.

Imagine bringing the will of the people to forefront? Imagine making Ron Paul's dream of a limited government with no wars come to fruition?

If Ron Paul never wins the presidency, his biggest legacy will be what he left behind. A bunch of wacky, not good for America, loony, cult-like group of people running the greatest country on Earth... and running it well.

We already are in East Texas.

We already are in East Texas. Though, East Texas has always been a liberty stronghold... minus the big government towns of Lufkin and Huntsville.

Want to solve America's problems?

Run for office!

Happy New YEar.

I have been a freedom fighter

I have been a freedom fighter since '64. I supported Dr Paul in his 88 election. I have spent my life in my communities writing letters to the editor and copying and distributing various vcr tapes. I feel public sentiment is changing and I have been getting calls from long standing friends telling me I have been right all along. Vindication.
To use a quote from Bill Cooper ...
" It is the hour of the time"
I will be running for NY CD #1
Nothing would make me happier in my retirement years than to help President Paul dismantle the beast that has been created in the last several decades.
I want to educate and get my district involved, truly representing my district using the technology present today.

the best way is to work for a campaign & no matter if they win

or lose they will remember you & when the time comes appoint you to some kind of office.
My dad (back in the day) worked on Bush Sr.'s Texas Congressional campaign and was offered some kind of position but he turned it down. He always joked later on after Bush won the Presidency that he proboly would have been a Senator by now...LOL....

Those that are working & volunteering for the Paul campaign will see their efforts rewarded when Dr.Paul wins....they too will be offered various positions within Government that need to be filled and will also be recruited to work on other liberty minded campaigns as paid staff.

Great..

..idea!

I'll go back ..

..last week of January to FL just in time for the primary. Then I'll do an extensive research on which offices I can go for.

Bump

I'd rather see a surge in liberty candidates for local, state and federal office than even a Ron Paul presidency.

Yep! Now is the time.

Congress is completely corrupted and the polls show that most Americans cannot stand them. I would suggest running for congress and senate. Many of them are resigning one after the other (imagine even those crooks Barney Frank and Lieberman are gone)! Additionally, I found an article the other day that Ron's new Audit the Fed bill is within 15 votes of passing the congress. This needs to be pushed in an aggressive manner! Ron is going to need a friendly congress to get much of his ideas passed.

Yep.

.

While a lot of people do need

While a lot of people do need to start small, some could go straight for congress....the will virtually be a shoe-in when you consider the RP supporters will vote for them and donate to their campaign as long as we know who they are....just take over all levels of government

FWIW, this could help if Rand

FWIW, this could help if Rand decided to run in 2016 as well.

We need constitutional police

We need constitutional police officers to run for county sheriff.

This is Vital ...

We need to start really taking back our country. Enough of the career Politians that just take. We need to get the people into our government. Let the Constitution be your guide. This could be our turning point. Ask Dr. Paul for advice, he will give it. Talk to Cashida in Colorado, and Karen K. In Va. Let Dr. Paul work from the top down, we can work from the ground up.

The birth of the Tea Party

The birth of the Tea Party part 2, but this time stick with the name "Ron Paul r3VOLution" so nobody can deny the origins.

This thread is about the ONLY path to success of Ron Paul's message and his protection if he becomes president.

Submit your tips!

Anybody have tips on how to get started?

What is the easiest position to run for?

What is most needed?

Cities or suburbs?

Not sure where to start, but I'll be sure to do my part.

A good start for someone who

A good start for someone who is not an insider or not adept at the skills necessary (public speaking, non-stop smiling) is to volunteer for an appointment to a committee or commission. My city, for example, has a redevelopment commission. Interested parties can fill out an application to be considered for an appointment. It usually takes a little networking to get your application picked, but nothing like an election. The meetings are held publicly like city council and gives people experience in public discourse, parliamentary procedure and public speaking. I'm sure most cities have similar commissions. I would do it myself, but I'm already somewhat of a pariah within my city's government.

I'm not sure either

but we can research this and find out. Even if we have no clue what we're doing, at least we try and then we'll learn from experience and get better at it.

all politics is local politics?

?????

No it's not

but it's easier to get started at the local level. Once you become a good politician at the local level, you move up.

Yes!

And would someone please start by running against that backstabbing, scumbag Steve King (Rep, IA)?

I agree!

Iowa needs to clean the house. Let's use the broom of Liberty!

Could we please add that traitor

Chuck Schumer of NY to the list?!

A few months ago...

someone put up a map of the US showing Paul's demographic support. Unlike the other candidates his was well spread out across the country, his voice and the voice of liberty is all over the country. If you think that we cannot be a real force for change in this country I would have to say you are wrong. I really feel that this is possible, we can do this, we can save this country. I was beginning to give up hope on this country before I found Ron Paul this summer and all of you at DP. But not any more. No other candidate has supporters who shows how much they care for this country through their volunteer efforts in supporting a real cause for change. Thank you for posting this, I couldn't agree with you more.

And this can be done through GOOOH

I have personally spoken with Tim Cox the founder of
www.goooh.com

I find this to be the ONE way Ron Paul supporters can be of immense influence to others and can run for Congressional seats without having a lot of money. This group needs to be infiltrated asap.

Correct

I have often thought that even if Ron Paul does not win the presidency, he has started something which is not going away.
The movement(s) he has started are probably as important if not more than him getting into the Whitehouse. A Paul presidency is only 4-8 years, but its the people my age(20s 30s, etc) that will continue to carry on long after he leaves. In the end, we will have the last laugh I hope, the only difference is in how hard life is between then and now.

To climb the mountain, you must believe you can.

He could go around stumping

He could go around stumping for all of the local liberty candidates.

This thread is one of the

This thread is one of the coolest threads I have ever seen on the DP..:D

this is the way

I did this, and it works. Local offices do have influence. And I have learned a lot.
