This is important to watch. The reporter is hostile right off the bat. Listen to the cadence of his questions. More like an interrogation. Then he starts to smile as the "judge" begins to answer the questions well. This reporter implies the new laws created will never really affect us. Really? Then why were they created? This is a great video to show Paul supporters the logic neocons are trying to sell themselves and the American public. Notice he basically runs away after the interview.

My stepmom in England thinks Ron Paul is a nobody cos he is not getting any coverage here by the old media ( tomorrow will be different me thinks).Showed her this vid and she started clapping when she heard him say he is a judge. It's amazing how the reporter changed his posture when he heard that gentleman was a former judge. Before he was giving the judge 3 seconds to answer, jerking the microphone away, and implying that the interviewee was clueless.
I love how the easy going guy in the hawaiian shirt turned out to be much more qualified than everyone expected :) Ron Paul has great supporters.

I disgree about the liklihood of this encounter. As has been noted by honest journalists and by our own knowledge of one another, we have the highest concentration of intellectuals of any campaign.
That being said, the likelihood of encountering a professional, well spoken Ron Paul supporter is actually quite high and happens quite often. We have a high percentage of scholars, legal professionals, economic professionals, etc.
If it was an economist (oh wait, the judge was kinda that too!... :) ) he was talking to, when asked why he supports Ron Paul, an economic reason would have been given, followed by an economic dissertation on the benefits of a Ron Paul administration!
Military, ditto, etc...
Do we have a radical fringe? Of course. But even our radical fringe is more intelligent than the radical fringe of other candidates.
This intellectualism is also why we are able to win so many converts. We are able to construct valid arguments on the fly with most people we talk to. This is very persuasive and why I personally dislike the use of canned talking points.
Just because the media has said we are all conspiracy theorist whack jobs does not make it true.
And this is a perfect argument for sticking to what you know when working on converts and doing interviews.

What the reporter was talking about with his "What rights have you lost" question is the #1 Reason why Ron Paul is not leading in the polls nor about to crush Huckleberry in Iowa. The reporters don't know about the really bad rights losses that we have suffered.
These journalism fools still know nothing about the laws that have been passed to SEVERELY curtail our freedoms above and beyond the simply passive interference that could come from a wiretap or a secret search of a home or laptop.
I have said elsewhere that US citizens are now liable to prosecution to the US government for things they do outside the jurisdiction of the USA. No other country has done that since maybe ancient Rome and I don't even think they did that. Americans are virtually alone in the world in terms of the IRS demanding to know what bank accounts a citizen might have in foreign countries (I think Libya has a similar law).
The new IMBRA law, that Ron Paul voted against, forces American men to be background checked before they can say hello to foreign women online. This applies even when the American man is on foreign soil while using the Internet. The NOW wanted that law "to protect women" from American men, but not from men from other countries who can still speak to foreign women online as usual. The law hurts the foreigners because they lose the right to decide their own level of security and the right to broadcast their contact information to Americans without the US government interfering.
Background checks for Internet participation is not passive interference because it takes time (from 30 seconds to 30 days) that can actively stop a person from communicating with another human being. When the courts uphold IMBRA, all Internet forums and dating sites will be subject to regulation in terms of background checking participants.
I don't mind being wiretapped because that is passive interference in my life. I do mind all of the above because it is active interference.
