Was a planned attack from a supporter of one of the establishment candidates. The caller was clearly trying to paint Ron Paul and his supporters as crazy conspiracy nuts. Nice try but Jesse Benton did great to deflect the crazy comment.

This interview is GREAT and well worth the 45 minutes. The anchorwoman did an excellent job -- as unbiased and non-sensationalist as I have seen in recent memory.

I managed to watch most of it and it was an impressive,and professional, interview session. There were a few questions that were very insightful and for which Benton had especially coherent answers. Impressive and sure to be a big plus for the campaign. BTW this program is viewed heavily in New Hampshire and around the country.

When someone asks about what is freedom, you can the following:

"a better question is what have we lost in America....we've lost our voice in politics, for example, when over 80% of Americans were against the Banking Bailout, what did our politicians do? They voted FOR it. Like Diane Feinstein said, "we know better than they do". More importantly we've lost significant freedom with the Patriot Act and the National Defense Authorization Act which potentially can assault every single American and lead us all into detention or concentration-like camps without a judge or trial".

There are other examples, but it all comes back to a GOVERNMENT GONE WILD with corrupt politicians and an out of control Federal Reserve in cahoots with Wall Street Big Banks, all who have connived to go on a money-printing expedition of over $16 trillion, of which some went to OVERSEAS banks, all at the expense of all American Taxpayers!

Just an idea, Jesse, but it was a good interview. Thanks.

..still watching..it is very long, and Jesse just is doing excellently. I am once again surprised at his cogent and thoughtful answers, but if he keeps it up, he will not surprise me any more. The guy is doing great, I am so happy to say.

I caught the last 10-15

I caught the last 10-15 minutes of this live, so I finally get to see the whole thing. Thanks!

I gotta say, Jesse's answers are spot-on, one after the other. I thought to myself, "What would I say?", and Jesse took the words right out of mouth or better. That is a very good sign from someone that is pretty good at coming up with good comebacks to this sort of thing.

Overall, I give Jesse an 9.8/10, only messing up slightly on the last question where he could have mentioned Ron's book "Liberty Defined". For a caller who says Ron can't articulate liberty, having written an entire best-selling book about the subject, it would put that to rest immediately.

I bring it down to 9.6 then,

I bring it down to 9.6 then, because though I have not heard the last 10 mins yet, he did not mention Ron cutting the Presidential salary to $40,000 per year, for him when that female caller asked about career politicians..
Forgetting one or two mentions is fine. What I did not like in the past was his thoughtless weird comments. After all this, I think I could even forgive one of those, now..

Yes, you're right about that. I just got done watching that charge actually, and while Jesse did a great job mentioning all of the things that Ron did to limit spending in Congress for everyone including himself, the mention of the presidential pay cut would have been a nice point to top it off.
