Since Ron Paul won almost every straw poll, they stopped counting them.

"Rick Perry's Campaign Asked Not to Be Included"`

Did you see that?

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

I don't know this as fact...

but I think the person working for the Perry campaign in Idaho made that decision. He is always negative about the straw polls because we always win them.

...is smiling down on Dr. Paul's campaign :)

Love Idaho

Been to Sun Valley, Driggs, and Lewiston. All wonderful people...and I would imagine that Ron Paul would be an excellent president for them. They are not into slimy east coast politicians at all.

Idaho???

RomneyDa'HO, Ron Paul Da'PIMP!!!
OK guys, I had to spin the old joke!! HAHA!! Yes i'm showing my age...sorry!!

Local media spins for Romney

http://www.kivitv.com/news/local/136861878.html

Although forced to admit Paul won, note the video shows people hanging out at the Romney box and someone voting for him (oops, got footage of a Paul voter too, Dang, they are everywhere!)
Those kids behind the boxes were doing little dances pointing at the Romney box at one point, too - not enough.
The other funny think is all the file photo footage used to make it look like other candidates had some kid of representation, they did NOT> Ron Paul was the ONLY candidate with a table, or a hospitality room. To the locals (who it seems I have seriously underestimated) have been getting a lot done. Nice work, folks!

Love or fear? Chose again with every breath.

the election date

Is may 15th I think. The media will have decided who the winner is by then, and no one will be paying any attention. And if they do Idaho will be caricatured as the state where the aryan nation compounds are.

We have switched to a caucus

We have switched to a caucus and it's on March 6 (Super Tuesday). The Aryan compound has been gone for 15 years now I think so that won't fly.

Nope, moved to super Tuesday.

It is dicey bringing up the Aryan nations stuff around here. Easy reply: Ruby Ridge. Folks around here are still not happy about having a mother murdered with babe in arms.

Love or fear? Chose again with every breath.

That's good news

That Idaho is super Tuesday. But you know the media will bring up that negative stuff. FUnny I'm watching a documentary on Ruby Ridge now - Mostly about Weavers eldest daughter - an impressive women now. She says there is a sore on our nation from ruby ridge. They even had Ron Paul talking about the FBI's admission of guilt.

I guess we both know a Doctor that can heal that sore.

"And here we have Idaho"

Thanks for posting. We'll see how our local media covers (or doesn't cover) this. Idaho has a HUGE Mormon base. I'm surprised Romney didn't win this. Maybe it's the big Ron Paul signs around town.

Ron Paul wins two Idaho straw polls

Dr. Ron Paul wins first ever Idaho Presidential Straw Poll Online and Idaho GOP Straw Poll.
See results at  http://idahostrawpoll.com/poll/graph.php
Don't have vote total yet as webmaster went AWOL.
Santorum, Gingrich and Romney in statistical tie for second place. Within margin of error. Ron Paul the big winner, no surprise there. Ron Paul wins almost all online polls thanks to dedicated supporters. Other candidates do not seem to have a strong online presents.
The online poll results are considerably different than the in house GOP results as the poll included all current Republican candidates as well as Michele Bachmann, Gary Johnson and Barrak Obama and was available to all Idahoans at no cost and included Republican, Democrat, Libertarian and Independent voters.
Additional online polls to follow up to the General Election. Check back often.

Idaho will be big for us!

"Idaho has 32 delegates at the 2012 Republican National Convention, which is more than Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada."

Get your delegates ready Idaho!

Does Otter support Paul?

Considering Otter and and Paul's similar libertarian stances,
anyone interested in writing the Statesman inquiring if Otter is backing Paul?

"In Congress, Otter was largely conservative with a slight libertarian streak, as reflected in his opposition to the Patriot Act. He was one of three Republicans (along with Bob Ney of Ohio and Ron Paul of Texas) to vote against the act in 2001." -Wikipedia

Otter was among the first to oppose Obamacare too.

Great to see other Idaho folk on here! Inspired me to finally register after years of daily viewing of this site.

How are we in Idaho getting our delegates ready? Republican registration deadline is Feb. 10th?

LOL

He was sitting behind me today at a Young Republicans meeting reading the Constitution. He is on Romney's steering committee.

Otter has gone establishment sorry.

Way to go
