Bastiat and the absence of plunder

If you haven't read "The Law" by Frederic Bastiat, you are doing a disservice to yourself.

This book will give you the ammunition you need to argue against legalized plunder (and socialist/collectivist systems).

Page 15 argues that there are three types of plunder:

1. When the few plunder the many (partial plunder)
2. When everybody plunders everybody else (universal plunder)
3. When nobody plunders anybody. (absence of plunder)

Wow! We actually have both # 1 and #2.

We have partial plunder by the actions of the Federal Reserve and IRS transferring resources to the rich.

We also have universal plunder through wealth redistribution programs like subsidies, tariffs, social security, medicare, etc.

What would it be like to live in a society with the absence of plunder? Awesome!
