Anyway you slice it, it all

Anyway you slice it, it all comes back around to the Federal Reserve... they control our economy in a very big way and we have virtually no real accountability of that institution. The people controlling our monetary policy aren't elected. Foreign Policy is important, but I think all this focus on it is misdirection. They know that the #1 issue on the minds of Americans is the economy. But they don't want to talk about the Fed's role in it. Period.

Government needs to create

Government needs to create jobs!!!! LOL. And you wonder why they don't "get" RP's foreign policy.

Rand is smooth.

very nicely done. I love the way Rand can

kid around but stay on message. I wish tho he would use his father's answer to the question, paraphrased:

"As President, how are you going to bring both sides together in Congress in order to get things done?"

Ron Paul: " I have a secret weapon. It's called the Constitution."

"If you want something you've never had before, you have to do something you've never done before." Debra Medina

Suspicious. Fox appearing to be supportive here but hammering

the idea that the group does not support his foreign policy. That is Fox's mantra. War, war, war.

War? War? War?

Then let THEM and theirs be the ones that DIE, DIE, DIE for it! Freedom of Choice! "I choose to kill or be killed!" Hey...go for it. When I witness their fear, manufactured mostly by those that stand to gain the most from the war industry, then I resign myself to let them learn the hard way. "You want war? Fine! Go die for it!" War literally is a racket. And, one LITERALLY has to realize that fact by their own method.

Fantastic!

Wow!

Senile Old Folks Cry for War From Their Rocking Chairs

How bout we agree that all these old farts in the audience who've never read a book in their life that wasn't a Tom Clancy novel, be the first to have their fat lazy warmongering asses parachuted into Iran. You're so keen on slaughtering women and children, HERE, do it your DAMN SELF.

LEAVE MY GENERATION who's coming home with PTSD and committing suicide for committing atrocities against a MILLION IRAQIS for absolutely nothing but naked empire building and profits for the merchants of DEATH the FUCK ALONE!

I don't understand

why people don't get the foreign policy argument. It seems so reasonable to me. Just put yourself in the shoes of the
'enemy' and understand what makes them mad. Duh.

In Liberty

They're not thinking - they're just repeating the meme

The woman cutting my hair this weekend in southern CA told me she liked Ron Paul except for his foreign policy. But when I explained it (in like 15 seconds), she says "you got me there" and promised to watch the debate.

specifically what you said to her. We need to share effective approaches.

They Don't Get It Because It is Misreported

The lazy press would rather quote his opponents on what his policy is, than actually report Dr. Paul's actual positions.

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

I believe that the issue of

I believe that the issue of RP's foreign policy, which is more specifically his military policy, is the single greatest impediment to his election. This is made so crystal clear in the above video. The average voter has just been so misled by the anti-RP propaganda. In my opinion, an all-out media blitz needs to be undertaken to fully and clearly explain RP's military policy.

As good a job as Rand did in the above video, I think he could have reached more people by asking this single question: “Do you believe America should go to war by the imperial decree of the president or should the issue be debated and decided in the Congress as the Constitution demands?” I believe the vast majority would opt for the latter, at which time Rand would say: “This is the primary thing my father and I are actually asking for.”

Am I right or wrong here?

Quinquagenarians for Ron Paul! Who says that you can't teach old dogs new tricks?

Yes! Please! This will bring it home!

Enlightening and discouraging.

The audience response regarding a noninterventionist foreign policy was just sad. I did appreciate Frank Luntz' fair and positive role in this.

It is possible that the audience was preselected for pro-interventionist views. Since Fox and Luntz found these people, I would not put it past them.

As pointed out by others, this does not jive with the polls suggesting that more than 70% of Americans want to get out of Afghanistan, etc.

Two things: This is likely a

Two things: This is likely a Republican audience, who will be more pro-war than the general public. Also, many people who want to get out of Afghanistan, may at the same time disagree with RP's general foreign policy.

jibe

The word is "jibe."

Jive is a proper name.

I just don't understand.

I just don't understand. 70+% of people don't want the wars. Where did they find the people in this room?

“Let it not be said that no one cared, that no one objected once it’s realized that our liberties and wealth are in jeopardy.”

Probably all Fox News watchers

Selection bias. After watching nothing but Hannity and O'Reilly you would be brainwashed too.

Have you ever watched

these kinds of group forums Fox puts on before? I have and I have changed the channel every time because I see the deliberate farce being played by the Fox. It's sickening and sick.

I honestly believe that they prescreeen people and eliminate anybody who likes RP. I was heartened that, at least this time, they couldn't get enough of those neocon people and had to let a few pro Paul people in the room to fill the seats.

Rand Paul

An asset of liberty.

truth liberate

A radio host around here (Houston) who

has been hard on Ron declared on his show this morning -broadcast from NH - that Rand is the best surrogate in the campaign. He ran down the list and said Perry's aids were an embarrassment. That reminds me, I mean to post about this.

I hated Luntz

I am very happy he did this! and I no longer hate him. see... a good action erases a lot of bad actions. PEACE FOR THE WORLD AND IRAN

Rand is neo-con kryptonite.

Rand is neo-con kryptonite. He's like the cool guy at school and these neocons like luntz and hannitty are the girls who want to be liked so bad and be part of the cool crowd. They don't even realize him and his dads policies are 99% identical but it doesn't matter, as long as the tea-party's darling is coming on their show and cracking jokes with them, they can feel cool.

I have to return some videotapes...

Rand is looking more and more

.....Like PRESIDENT RAND PAUL IMHO.

btw...Like i said (10,000 times) ITS TIME to start HAMMERING HOME the Foreign Policy...90% STILL DONT GET IT !!

President Rand Paul

is a large part of why they fear President Ron Paul. They would never recover a back-to-back Paul presidency. And who knows, there could be a son or grandson/daughter ready to go serve in congress. Shudder! It's a power-mad opportunist's nightmare.

re foreign policy

did this take place BEFORE the last debates?

with so little support for RP's foreign policy stance, I was wondering if the debate - in particular the exchange with Newt re military service - might change the minds of some of these folks?

Also re foreign policy: Since these folks seem to support RP on economic stance, it would have helped if (edit: meant Rand) pointed out the economic consequences of current foreign policy vs RP's position

Working for US policy in the mideast that serves AMERICA's interests http://www.councilforthenationalinterest.org/

Am I the only one somewhat

Am I the only one somewhat surprised that there are people in that room that were unaware that Ron wants to cut $1 Trillion from the budget, including the five departments?

If I was interested in a candidate, I would have had at least the basic information from a campaign site under my belt.

We're up against so much more than I realize, that much is clear.

Read my article about

Read my article about Iowa:

this will help you understand.

That is a problem

The majority of people DO NOT do their homework. They learn about a candidate from what the media tells them, not from research.

The Foreign Policy thing

is big. This is where the campaign's focus really needs to be. I think people are getting it that he has the best domestic policy but the media is still brainwashing them into thinking he has the worst. They HAVE to have better information. I think an ad with that picture of him in his uniform with Rand would be a great one. THAT is the thorn in the flesh.
