They did it - pushed Mitt to 40%.

You could see it coming the past hour or more. Huntsman and Ron Paul stayed the same, and they somehow banged Mitt up to 40 from 36-37.

Still not buying the legitimacy of the count. Some pundits were saying Mitt needed 40; well, they got it for him.

5% left to count. Can 42 be far behind? Yeesh.

Oh well,

the majority (60%) still doens't embrace Romney and he bet heavily in N.H.

It's still about Delegates.

With 12 delegates to assign:
Romney @ 5
Paul @ 3
Huntsman @ 2
No one else got above 10% So the last 2 delegates are up for grabs. They will most likely get picked at the State Convention. Pack the house!!! Become a delegate!!! Attend the convention!!! Theoretically Dr. Paul could pick up 2 more delegates.

Or is there something I don't know?

In a legitimate vote Ron Paul Won Iowa and Won/Tied NH

Anybody looking at quality polls and ground games knows this is how it should have been.

That's why they throw this BS about '56% undecided tonight'. Really, 56% of people show up at a vote with no clue of what to do and they just randomly pick Romney and Huntsman?

It makes no sense, especially since pot aside Romney and Huntsman are basically identical and come from the same Mormon background. Huntsman should have peeled voters away from Romney.

According to polls and other data Romney, Santorum, and Huntsman magically peeled away at least 10+% of Ron Paul's votes in Iowa and NH. THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN TO RP SUPPORTERS.

And this really is the issue: without momentum and first place finishes Ron Paul cannot win since every other candidate will end up endorsing Romney at the end of the horse and pony show.

Santorum is going to get a job at Fox, Gingrich is going to go back to being rich, and sadly RP will be retired if not President.

Who cares? Still says 60% want someone besides Romney

just like the Iowa vote indicated 75% want someone other than Romney.

Right or wrong, I saw it reported earlier in the night that Romney's percentage would likely climb because some of the last areas to report were going to be in the southern part of NH adjacent to MA, an area that Romney dominated the last time around.

The good news to me is that a very large majority do not want Romney and that Ron Paul had an impressive finish where he was able to hold off the supposed surge of Huntsman and leave the Grinch and Santorum far in the dust.

We're going to South Carolina!!!

Yes we are. Need to do well

Yes we are. Need to do well there. I think RP gets a big BUMP.

@ 40%

Vote manipulation is clear. Too many people for someone to legitimately have such a lead.

Funny business notwithstanding,

the only thing that means anything is that RP got his 2nd Place, and they couldn't pull it away.

Whether Romney got 35% or 40% is all academic because NH was a state that Romney was supposed to "own" anyway.
That number isn't going to do anything for him.

No, it won't, not in the long

No, it won't, not in the long run. But it's still insidious.

I hate these creeps!

They rounded Mitt's number

They rounded Mitt's number up, when they should've rounded it down.

Yeah, I mentioned that below.

And that certainly helps as well. I wonder where that last five percent went? Still not counted, as far as I can tell.

I've been

tracking at WMUR every 15 minutes to half an hour since the results were 4 out of 301 precincts reporting. I had planned to continue on, but the past few hours have been ridiculous, with only a few precincts reporting in that time. So, I am going to bed.
Anyway, the only "weird" thing I noticed (other than the Huntsman surge, which I ain't buyin') was that Story had 29 votes with 247 precincts (82%) reporting, then had 39 votes with 274 precincts (91%) reporting...then had 42 votes with 278 precincts voting (92%), then went BACK to 39 votes with 282 precincts reporting (94%), then stayed at 39 with 286 precincts reporting (95%)...
I then thought I'd check out Politico. Politico was at exactly 95% reporting and had the same exact numbers and percentages as WMUR for each candidate, except Romney had 94255 (WMUR said 94253) votes. While I was checking out the other candidates numbers at Politico, Romney's number changed to 94256 and stayed there, although nothing else changed...no other candidates numbers changed, no percentage of precincts reporting changed...
Just found it 'interesting' that Story lost 3 votes and Romney had a 2 vote increase, then an additional increase (3 total)at Politico...

Good catch. There's no doubt

Good catch. There's no doubt in my mind that they're tweaking the results around the edges to make sure Romney has his 40%. The public won't notice the tinkering, since it isn't big enough, but now they'll get to run with the headlines about his inevitability....which is all that really matters.

Nevertheless, I'm still proud that despite all this, we still managed to hang on to our 2nd place prize. It goes to show their control isn't total. They couldn't take it away.

Thanks Habit

Very enlightening as to the "process".

Interesting that the county by county reporting percentages

show either 100% or 0% reporting?? So some counties have yet to report anything at 1:53AM??

Once again the most unusual activity occurs after most people have stopped paying attention.

Lew Rockwell (in his "Heil Santorum" podcast)

...said that his friend who was at the Iowa elections said something to the effect of "there were more red flags that went up in my head than at a Moscow May Day parade". He also said the ballots were put into a big open garbage bag and then they were taken to another room and counted there (I assume out of sight of the voters). This conversation is right at the beginning at the URL below...

Interesting.

Thanks!

NCMarc's picture

It's pretty amazing to me.

It's pretty amazing to me. Ron was at 25% and Romney was at 34% when it was 20% reporting. How did Romney start getting 41-42% on the rest to increase his overall percent? Seems fishy to me.

Usually once a good percent is in, the % rarely changes.

The MSM was also estimating...

...a turnout of 250,000

So far, total number expected to be just short of 200,000 maybe...

Perhaps there are 50,000 more votes for Ron Paul out there...now go get them!!!

Now you're talking!

Now you're talking!

Politico currently shows 95%

Politico currently shows 95% reporting and Mitt at 39.4%... which rounds to 39%. They didn't do it yet.

The Diebold machines kicked in with 22% reporting

We were at 25% to Romneys 35% course' they had to kick up Huntsmans numbers 3% so it was an eight point turnaround..

We can take Romney in a two man race. Perry should endorse us and sic his super pac on Romney. Santorum and Gingrich supporters should move to the peace and liberty candidate Ron Paul..Huntsman should just call it a day

Government is supposed to protect our freedom, our property, our privacy, not invade it. Ron Paul 2007

I've been watching CNN

They have 95% also, but with Mitt at 40. Don't know what to make of it. 39.4 rounds to . . . 39. We'll see what happens.
