Doug Wead w/Chris Matthews on MSNBC 1-10-12

Absolutely best Doug Wead performance yet!

One gem after another ...

My faves:

[Why is coming in second for Ron Paul ... a victory]

"Because it's Mitt Romney's home state."

"Thank God for Al Gore and the internet...people can look up the facts."

"This is no longer a country of the pundits, by the pundits, and for the pundits."

"He's incorruptible."

"Now your car mechanic can tell you about the Federal Reserve."

"Here's an old country doctor...who's incorruptible...you can't make up something like Ron Paul."

And a whole bunch more. Wead is a god.

You're fucking mental Doug

You're fucking mental Doug Wead! You obliterated one of the most hot headed TV personnel I can't stand. I can't wait for Oreilly to interview you so you can't destroy that chickenhawk as well. You can have all the brownie points you want you fucking A!

I don't understand this

I don't understand this comment.

Best thing about Wead?

He is always laughing in their faces...

.. the whole time

Exactly the right attitude. Exactly what they deserve.

Mathews was pissed at being laughed at

Pundits like Mathews have to be taken serious, they view themselves as highly respected experts, when what they say is subject to humor, it totally throws them off their game. Did you see the look on Mathews face? He was pissed at being laughed at.

I soooo agree. Wead is just too good, too smart. And yes, the right attitude!!

yo, Chris... we're only 4% done

2 states down, 48 to go. Calling it for Romney? Not wise.

What is begun in anger, ends in shame.

Awesome Wead!!

Valuable TV time with every second well used. Wead squeezes in the facts and all points necessary, the people will hear, loud and clear.

Yeah, very efficient and effective.

He was ready for that one. Nice!

I like how he changes the game when ever they try to underplay RP, Wead's comeback begins with a little laugh and then he tells them how it really is. Hehe, RP does this too.

Notice that both Wead and Paul...

...made it a point after tonight's very good showing to prominently mentions the Fed, End the Fed, and points against it. Significant and no doubt planned addition to the campaign talking points. You can bet that was unsettling for some 'suits' in board rooms to see and hear on TV tonight.

Doug threw several

hardballs hitting Chris right in the face. You hardly ever catch Chris speechless. Sorry Doug, you are too bright for these nitwits and probably won't see much air time. GEAUX WIN THIS RON PAUL!

I literally lost it when he said, "thank god for Al Gore and the internet!" lol!!!!

Lol, yeah.

I think that threw Matthews off balance from the git-go.

Brilliant of Doug and Al Gore internet.

And I do agree, Chris never recovered. In a sense, it also let the MSM know that we are on to them. We know they can't be trusted and thats why the internet is a better source to cut through the BS. Now we know why the establishment is pushing SOPA.

Wead Was Over The Top

tonight. This was not one of Doug's better interviews. I think he was on something.

Of course, Matthews was his usual obnoxious self. That last bit about "somebody is going to have a chance as a third party from the right and you guys are blowing your chance" was pure wishful thinking. He'd love Ron to run third party to split the Romney vote.

Frankly, I don't care. If Ron runs third party, I see no difference between Mittler and Obama. But Matthews is such an amazing jerk, it's almost unbelievable.

Not a Wead Winner

I agree. In this interview Doug chuckled too much, making his chuckling the nervous kind. Darn. I noticed he has a habit of chuckling as if to play down comments or cast them away as insignificant or insipid. But, really, anyone who knows about public speaking will say to avoid it, particularly if it's done more than once in a short time. Oh, well. Despite his consistent chuckling, his answers were fine. Chris was respectful. Decent interview.

Perhaps, but...

Not all incidents of laughter in these sorts of public speaking venue are unattractive. It depends on the circumstances. G. K. Chesterton was famous for snorting brief chuckles and even outright laughter (of the belly busting kind) in serious forums such as debates with the likes of George Bernard Shaw, and Chesterton was almost always considered the winner in these encounters. And it seemed that the key for most people was that Chesterton's demeanor spoke to the level of his convictions, while not taking himself too seriously. This quality, deep conviction in an idea or philosophy, while at the same time a classy touch of humor at the errant misrepresentations and outright insults from opponents is extremely attractive to the unbiased observer.

It is the spokesman who gets all worked up with passionate and unpleasant emotion who turns off the unbiased observer. The truth can often laugh at a lie, and look all the more solid.

"To hear Chesterton's howl of joy...to see him double himself up in an agony of laughter at my insults, to watch the effect of his sportsmanship on a stunned audience who were won to mirth by his intense pea-hen-like quarks of joy was a sight and a sound for the gods...and I carried away from that room a respect and admiration for this tomboy among dictionaries, this philosophical Peter Pan, this humorous Dr. Johnson, this kindly yet gallant cherub, this profound student and wise master which has grown steadily ever since... It was monstrous, gigantic, deadly, delicious."
Cosmo Hamilton, a Chesterton debating opponent.

Yeah, right.

Give me a break, it was great.

What a fantastic interview!

I couldn't help but chuckle along with Doug Wead.
He sure was happy! (and Matthews was not).

Doug Wead is so good, Matthews just kept trying and trying but Doug corals him each time and controls the conversation....he is good.

Yup - beaten at his own game

No third party distractions, thanks anyway Chris, we'll just have the GOP instead!

By far the best I've seen

By far the best I've seen Doug Wead. Real solid, but he could still lose some of the giggle.

chris matthews is such an idiot...

it must be terribly tragic to be a matthews child knowing that your father either, doesn't have a clue or is the biggest sell out since the cabbage patch dolls!

for Mathews.

Too old to report news

Great job, Wead!!!

I want some Wead!

I want some Wead!

"A friend

How fun!

Doug Wead did a masterful job of stating what needed to be stated, the annoyed look on Matthew's face was most enjoyable. Truly great. The talking heads are begin exposed as the corporate tools they are and Wead's comment about Al Gore and the internet was perfect. My aunt is in her 80s, she now has a computer and is so disgusted with the fact she use to believe what FOX and Limbaugh were telling her as fact. For Liberty!

Wow what a GREAT idea

Let's get all the Older people on the Internet... - my mom's been on it for 15 years... she's 80 and voting Ron Paul! WOW... come on, people, go build your grandparents a box :)

"Many of us agree that you and I have no right to use coercion against people who don't owe us anything. The same prohibition applies to groups of people who constitute the government. The reason is simple: unjust acts do not become just when legalized. "

wead laughs at matthews

The Entire interview... Matthews was livid and had to contain himself. Cant stand to hear the truth blowing his kind outta the water. When wead said third party run was "not gunna happen" matthews says " you guys are gunna blow it" by not running third party... What? We are winning.
Matthews, noticably upset, may have let on to what the msm dont want rp supporters to know... That if ron paul actually did run... Once he and his views are made widely known and he gains recognition (via stuff like the i served photo) he will WIN... Not steal votes from the R or the D... But who needs to beat a D and a R when you can just be a R... Thats why they keep asking that, they are acared of it and are tryig to guard against it meanwhile disassociating him with Rs.

Intresting quote from wead explaining the 'dangerous' thing. Something like:
They called barry goldwater dangerous because he was gunna start a nuclear war... Now they call ron paul dangerous because he won't.
