iowa was fixed, or is America fixed?
Were these caucuses fixed? Or is it true that the networks legitimately own this country and the American people. No Iraq for the last week, three days of a Huckabee/Romney plague.
Believing Huckabee won Iowa because of the evangelicals is nonsense - he won this because he recently became a member of the CFR and received their unwavering support - http://www.foreignaffairs.org/20080101faessay87112/michael-d...
When Ghouliani fails, you need another emerging puppet to take his place.
It's a major disappointment, when you realize you cannot speak above the vassals, not even for a message as powerful as ours. Let's begin to realize this revolution, and make this movement heard in New Hampshire.
This is our last opportunity, until of course, RP is forced to run as a Libertarian.
We have an opportunity still, everybody rush to NH. I'm going tomorrow.
Huckabee's Free Media Bonanza
The recent free media blitz of Huckabee was no mistake. The leftist "mainstream" media realizes that Huckabee will be the easiest Republican candidate to shred later down the road so that a democrat will take the Presidency.

McCain & Thompson tied with 13% says politico
and Ron Paul is at 10% there are still over 20% precincts not reporting so there is still hope for a 3rd place finish....this is basically a 3 way tie right now....so keep holding on to hope.
http://www.politico.com/
Jesus is the saviour of the WHOLE WORLD, "As in Adam all die, so too in Christ ALL shall be made alive." (ICor.15:22) All means all. The pagan 'hell' of literal fire & eternal torment is a lie and is SPIRITUAL TERRORISM. http://www.hopebeyondhell.net/blog
Let's hope so...
Thompson might drop out so maybe they'll give his spot in the debate to Paul...this has to prove he is a viable candidate.
Fix or good old American gulibility?
It's hard to tell if the fix is in or if this is just another example of American gullibility and stupidity. Remember the media has worked overtime the last three weeks selling this broke-ass, neo-fascist, Jim Nabors looking ward heeler to the American public. They're every one of them used to doing as they're told! In all likelihood it's a combination of fix and dumb. This old Libertarian is not surprised. Having said all that, this is far from over. The Huckster and that old savings and loan scandal scheister McCain are still going to have to come up with some money. In addition Hucklehoser may not find things so accommodating in New Hampshire. We'll have to keep our chins up and work even harder. We can do it! ..........Holgerdanske.

Iowa does NOT represent main stream America....
Not by a longshot! It accounts for perhaps 1% of the electorate. Lets size up where we stand after super Tuesday - that will be considerably more representative of where the country stands as a whole.
I am not disuaded - We have not yet begun to fight!
Liberty is not free, It must be earned!
Liberty is not free, It must be earned!
Basically a straw poll repeat!!!
... and that is probably a good sign. Let's hope all states end up fallowing the trend of repeating their respective straw polls!!!
mccain in 3rd - 13.5%
with 78% of precincts reporting
RP in 5th w/ 10%
What the heck is taking so long?
What the heck is taking so long? CSPAN said that the Democrats would take a lot longer to report because their caucus process is way more complex. But here we are at 9:35PM CT and Democrats are reporting 96% of precincts and Republicans only 78% according to Politico.
Do they have to run those hand written ballots past Diebold or what?

Are Iowan's Brain dead?
How can Thomson get more vote than the Doctor?
Thomson does not even want to campaign or do anything but be President if he has to. No money, no support, no message.....
What are Iowans thinking. When C'span asked if anyone wanted to speak for Ron Paul and no one stood up or clapped that was a sad sign of the state of affairs. The media did a good job in brain washing you guys,
Sad, sad, sad.
I could scream!
I did not see this(no cable), but .... what gives?
MSM said last week(and I dismissed it as more "attack RP supporters"), that they thought it did not matter people were on RP sites.....If they did not show up, now matter how many people on the internet... does not = Votes= Lose the race. >:-<
Maybe they watched these shows and believed the hype?
Not One Person?
How irresponsible is that!?
I could go on, but why bother...it won't change the votes, now.
Let's hope NH has more Responsible People, who will show up and actually Vote.
Like one guy said" everyone wants a paycheck, but few want to actually work?"
take care/not offense.
Ron did better
than that in my area. Here Romney came in first. Ours is fairly rural. The cities are doing better for Ron. Don't discount the college vote!

10% Can Still Stop a Bad Nominee From Being President
There are two pieces of good news IMHO from this disaster:
1) Hillary Clinton was crushed today, coming in 3rd. If the Republicans have to take a fall this year, Obama won't be as bad as she would be if he gets elected pres. He is not a bitter radical feminist (although he will probably roll over to that kind).
2) My minimum result was achieved in that Ron Paul can probably run as a 3rd Party Candidate and get 10% of the national vote of all Americans. This would stop the prospects of any unacceptable nominee on the Republican side (I would rather Obama as pres than Romney or Huckabee or McCain but not Fred).
Ron Paul can do much better in NH only if he plays on Internet Regulation and not the war. Most Republican males believe that the surge worked and they believe that McCain is right on that point. McCain is my political enemy on almost every issue except the war which I agree with him on.
Ron Paul can only gain ground now if he explains to Americans exactly HOW they have lost freedoms at home.
That video we were watching earlier where a judge told Hugh Hewitt that the Patriot Act allowed searches that we never hear about...was not the best way to win anyone over because it personally left me cold and I am a Ron Paul supporter.
I don't care if the government passively interferes in my life compared with all the active interference that is happening in new laws coming from guys like John McCain.
Internet Regulation is the best way to convince Republicans that we are being hosed by guys like McCain.
I suggest that Ron Paul study up on the IMBRA law and not be embarrassed to let New Hampshire people know the law exists and it is not fair at all to force Americans to undergo background checks to say hello to foreigners online.
If you look at IMBRA and think "this is controversial...I would look stupid condemning this because it is ostensibly about protecting women"...then you probably do not have what it takes to win an election against the kind of people who make this kind of law.
Americans must NOT be background checked by federal mandate just for wanting to use a dating website.
You cannot be embarrassed to expose fascism when you see it. Internet regulation is wrong, period. If you don't fervently believe that and expose every rotten instance of it no matter how politically incorrect it sounds to oppose it, we will lose.
Ron Paul will probably have to expose specific laws in which we lost rights at home and on the Internet...or he does not want to be President.
The anti-war and total pullback message alone has a low plateau. Most Republicans want to maintain at least the airbase in Frankfurt, Germany.
I have to admit that 10% is the highest I have ever seen for a candidate that was for a complete pullback of troops from around the world.
First off...
this is NO disaster. 10% of the Iowa vote is a tremendous success and sets us up well for New Hampshire (a few more % and we end up 3rd). That we should drop our US Foreign policy platform is a sellout. Perhaps you are getting a little too comfortable being a Veteran Abroad.

"No War, No Income Tax, No Big Brother, No Kidding."
Yet to report!
There are a few counties yet to report and I heard that one of them is the Iowa City area. They mentioned that a lot of college students were from there. Lets hope Ron can pull out a 3rd place.
Yeah!
I love it when people get their spirit right up front and ready to go.
You are right. This may be just the start and how it all works.
I pray for Ron Paul. I have never been a "fan" of anyone either.
I am redoubling my efforts here in IL effective immediately
As I mentioned this morning, whatever the result from the Iowa caucus, it will only strengthen my resolve and utter determination to do everything in my power to elect The Honorable Dr. Ron Paul as President.
I am redoubling my efforts here in Illinois effective immediately.
Call it sour grapes, call it blowing off some steam, call it what you will: there are some awfully repugnant people in Iowa --like those who chose Huckle-buck, McShame, Willard "Griswold" Romney, and Frederick of Hollywood above one Dr. Ron Paul.

Keep your eyes on this big picture...
Remember, 60% of Iowa Republicans caucusing tonight were Evangelicals. Huckabee HAD to win. He will not do nearly as well in NH. There it will be Romney, McCain and Paul.
Ron Paul is still in the process of migrating support from the Internet, (see http://www.adweek.com/aw/iq_interactive/article_display.jsp?... ) to the real world. It is happening and will take time.
Stay positive and we'll get'r done!
I am sorry, but will never lose hope. We all need Ron Paul!
I am from Canada, but is there anyway you can fight them peacefully?
I mean, I have seen a better show of people in a punk mosh pit compared to those numbers of voters that have so far voted. I also am a database programmer for a large company up here in Canada, and when I saw the documentary that they were doing counts electrically and not with paper, I gave up on watching while shaking my head thinking about computer code - almost. I mean, well, I have bigtime hope for Ron, and I am Canadian (so who cares, maybe, what I think) but I am watching constantly, that's all (and nearly ripping my hair out if I am not cool about it), and feel helpless to help RP, but still strong, and am I seem to be learning about this strange form of "Caucus", too - but believe me - in Canada we are ripped off too with "the ways" that we elect. I smell small rich minds, small turn out, and things are rigged, no offense. I pray that you all get Ron Paul. I don't understand how so much scum is covering the numbers. I guess that sh*t really sticks. I don't know. I just hope the best for you in the US and Ron Paul - and I am still positive and totally for him still winning. Go Ron Paul! I bet they are hiding Ron in that big "white pie chart void". Go Ron Paul supporters!!! I must be missing something. If someone sees this can you clue me in to any of my own ignorance? Otherwise, on with the show and I would love it if the truth would really pour out tonight for you all. I knew hardly anything about politics in any country until I heard Ron Paul speak. Please advise, and thanks.
From a CHRISTIAN
First: to the one who wrote "God is dead and we're on our own." Please refrain from such talk. God is not dead, He is on His Throne. Unfortunately, He has some very dumb followers in Iowa. I am a better informed Christian, thank God. I am for RON PAUL and PROUD of it.
Lookout Huckrompson, RON PAUL is comming to New Hampshire and he will reak havoc upon your plans there!!
LIBERTY MUST SURVIVE
LIBERTY MUST SURVIVE
Christian here not part of Christian-DUMB
When will the church wake up?
I'm an Iowa christian
and I can tell you now, the Ron Paul campaign needs the Christian vote and some of you are doing your level best to dissuade potential Ron supporters. If you can't be civil, at least be an intelligent enough person to know when to keep your opinions about somebody's faith to yourself, if indeed you have the capacity. This comment is not directed at one person, just people who don't have the sense to shut up.

Amen
All of us Christians have to keep working on the Christian vote. We will do better in New Hampshire. 24% left to report ... anything is possible with God.
We must get the Evangelical vote
All of us must work to get out the Christian vote! I am also a Christian and a Ron Paul supporter. I was so upset I had to go and pray. Guess what--God is still on the throne and he is not surprised by the results.
Christians, athiests, and everyone in between: Ron Paul is the Christian candidate. By Biblical standards, he is the best choice. He is just. He has integrity. He supports a Christian foreign policy as well as a Christian economic policy (real money, no debt spending).
Email your Evangelical friends tomorrow:
Tell them that Ron Paul is a Christian who left his Episcopal church because it was too liberal. (see the CSM article just published).
Tell them that Ron Paul is strongly pro-life. Point out the legislation he has authored that would define life as beginning at conception!Give them this excellent article:
http://revolutionradio.org/2008/01/03/an-open-letter-to-amer...
Perhaps point out to them that Christians are supposed to judge people by their fruit, not by how charming they are or by how much they talk about God.
Point out that Huckabee is on judical watch's top 10 most wanted corrupt politicians www.judicialwatch.org.
Point out how Bush has used Evangelicals to do anything and everything he wants.
Finally--Pray! Evangelicals are hard-working people. Many do not put in the time to research these issues. We are trusting because we are used to honesty. Do your best to think from a Christian perspective and lay out the issues for them.
Dr. Paul needs evangelicals!
I wonder if some of today's
I wonder if some of today's media enthusiasm for Paul was a set-up to then talk about how disappointing his 5th place finish is. It's not out of the realm of possibility for the media to do something that devious, but that would seem to require more covert organization than they could pull of in the past fifteen hours.
SIGH
We all felt it
We all felt Dr. Paul was on an upward trajectory, not just Russert, et al. And he did finish strong, but the competition finished stronger. I'm particularly surprised that Thompson and McCain turned out double digits without substantial organizations.
someone know the heimlich
watching that disarray of democracy I could not help but choke on my dinner from earlier. As I am typing though CSpan started taking calls for reaction and every single caller was in support of Ron Paul. As I stated months ago the only way Dr Paul can lose is through fraud and it looks like it is starting already
3-way tie for 3rd in IA
That's how I see it. Ron Paul is going to do better in New Hampshire and Wyoming, so keep your eyes (and mind!) open.
