Newt spills the beans. Ron gains votes.

http://youtu.be/deOuGbStE-w
In this youtube vid, I've attached the 3 links you need to easily show neocons the error of their candidates ways. They don't have to agree with Ron, but this logic will show them the danger of their own candidate's words.

1. Two months ago, Newt openly tells the world that the US should kill Iranian scientists.
2. This morning, an Iranian scientist is killed by a magnetic bomb attached to his car.
3. A few days ago, Iran announced they captured a former US Marine, convicted him of spying, and plan to put him to death.
Conclusion; When our leaders openly tell the world they plan to murder Iranian citizens, then Iranian citizens get murdered, how is Iran supposed to be lenient with the US citizen they've accused of spying? And how are we not supposed to end up at war with them when our leaders openly admit that we plan on murdering their people?
Send this to your Newt supporting friends. Even if they still think Iran is dangerous, it is obviuos that Newt is more dangerous.

Excellent reasoning,

excellent analysis!

New Hampshire and Ecuador.

Bravo

S-22. Wonderfully stated. You did a tremendous job here. You made a well reasoned case that does not require someone to agree completely with you but still leads them to re-think the concept of blowback.

Well done!

edit:/ an edited version of this with Newt's comments included and perhaps a news report of the Iranian scientists death and trial of teh Marine might increase the impact if anyone is up it.

'US handlers led Mossad, MKO agents'

S-22, your apprehensions are proven true -
http://www.presstv.com/detail/220542.html
“The US covert war against Iran raised the stakes even higher today with the assassination of yet another nuclear scientist, with some analysts saying that the Islamic Republic is being pushed into a corner to either back down in its confrontation with the US or retaliate - the latter most certainly triggering an All-out War,” wrote Finian Cunningham.

and - "some of the US presidential hopefuls openly called for conducting covert operations ranging from assassinating Iranian nuclear scientists - -".

They are pushing us to war...

..and the evidence is here. Even if Iran is very dangerous, if we can make the people see what these other Republicans are doing, they'd have to admit that their words and actions are equally dangerous.

Free market capitalism isn't right for America because it works better. It's right because it's free (and it works better).

Bump

.

double bump.

..

Free market capitalism isn't right for America because it works better. It's right because it's free (and it works better).

Provocation & Blow-back.

S-22, thanks for posting, it explains the issue so clearly, that Newt-Grin really made a foolish & irresponsible suggestion while on stage. I had not seen this thread but I wrote about this matter on another DP thread, =
http://www.dailypaul.com/202703/secretary-of-defense-admits-...

question arises - is he a zionist agent - entraping america??

It's amazing...

..how much info out there shows that the mainstream republicans have their heads up their azzes, but many people just hide themselves from the truth because they dont' want to admit they were wrong.

Free market capitalism isn't right for America because it works better. It's right because it's free (and it works better).

New-Grin = Zion Agent.

after watching and listening to the first youtube link under the video - I get the idea that Newt is implicating america, and taking the blame for Israeli attacks. The Iranian govt is blaming Mossad. They know not what Newt has been babbling, -"maximum coordination with Israel - which allows them to have impact in Iran - - -".
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IrAVr6XXtbg
there are two more links under this one, to watch.

I'm back and forth...

...between thinking that they do this on purpose because they are puppets, and thinking that they are just so selfish and trying to play to the fears of the people, that they say stupid things just to gain votes.

Free market capitalism isn't right for America because it works better. It's right because it's free (and it works better).

I guess you would call this

I guess you would call this blow back.

From what I gather...

..blowback is the result of covert operations which the public doesn't know about. When the retaliation comes, the public doesn't have the information to put 2 and 2 together, so they come up with stupid ideas like, "they hate our freedom". But this time around, our leaders are openly telling everyone about the covert operations, so if we still think the blowback is because Iran "hates our freedom", there is no excuse but our own refusal to accept the truth, even when the evidence is on video for us to see. You could even hear the people gasp when Gingrich said those words in the debate. I wonder how many people remember it and put the equation together.

Free market capitalism isn't right for America because it works better. It's right because it's free (and it works better).

I know many of you want an emotional appeal...

...but what good is a Ron Paul presidency if the people don't follow through with the intellectual revolution he spoke about last night. I know we need to win, but we need to also educate, or Ron's victory will be forgotten. I think we need to give Americans more credit. We are all capable of learning the truth. The emotional appeals will help, but the informative appeals need to be included as well.
When neocons see the deaths of Americans is the result of their leaders own words, that is the emotional appeal. When they are emotionally ready, then they will be flooded with information which proves Ron Paul is right. That is the logical appeal.

Free market capitalism isn't right for America because it works better. It's right because it's free (and it works better).

I'm with you but I think you

I'm with you but I think you underestimate the doctrine of American exceptionlism. Most Americans are so stupid they can't even imagine that anything could ever be the fault of the US government. In their eyes the US government is always the good guy and any deviation from that script is heresy. If Iran does put that guy to death then it will give the Santorums and Newts an advantage because anyone who doesn't scream for Iran's blood will be denounced and seen as soft.

Many neocons...

..will do mental gymnastics in order to prevent themselves from seeing the truth. But we don't need to convert them all, just some. This won't work on them all, but it should piss off enough folks that they will be emotionally open to Ron Paul more than they currently are to Newt and Santorum.

Bomb in the Brain

Everyone should watch The Bomb in the Brain series, so you can understand that evidence and reason are not the best methods to use in order to sway people that are demonstrating thought processes that indicate previous abuse, which Stefan argues that neo-con thought is indicative of:

It's an eye and mind opening presentation.

I totally agree. Paul can

I totally agree. Paul can just keep doing what's he's always done, though on an increasingly large scale, and he'll gradually persuade the thinking people. But we have to recognize that a certain proportion of voters are irrational, and that no amount of persuasion will affect their MSM-instilled dogma. For them, we need to use emotional B.S. But hey, whatever works, however much it offends our sense of what a political campaign should be like.

"Alas! I believe in the virtue of birds. And it only takes a feather for me to die laughing."

I experience that irrationality all the time....

...with my grandma. She performs what I like to call "mental gymnastics" to avoid having to admit Ron is right and all her candidates are wrong. Just like in South Park when Cartman actually convinced himself to believe a lie he started, many republicans perform these mental gymnastics and actually convince themselves of things they previously thought weren't true. My grandma has hated Mitt Romney for years, but now that she sees the race is between Ron and Mitt, she is convincing herself that she always thought he was okay.

Free market capitalism isn't right for America because it works better. It's right because it's free (and it works better).

Evidence doesn't work.

Sadly, most people don't vote based on reason. Ron needs an emotionally-charged pitched.

Fear is an emotion, and it is used effectively by the neocons. Ron could use fear of the police state (those MTV holocaust ads were pretty good) or fear of another Iraq (the grassroots "war propaganda" ad is effective) to win people over to his position. He should also stress the likelihood of an economic collapse brought about by imperial overreach and how that would harm the elderly and others dependent on entitlements. Add the fact that America is dependent on loans from China to finance its militarism and domestic spending, putting us at China's mercy.

Another emotional pitch could be about the toll these wars have taken on military personnel and their families.

Why the campaign isn't tackling this problem is incredible to me. It's inexcusable. Ron's position is actually very popular when framed in the right way. To lose on this issue would be tragic.

If we use fear, we have to be

If we use fear, we have to be very careful to moderate our language: no talk of currency collapse, e.g. Though that is in fact a very possible outcome of our present monetary-fiscal policies, you can bet your bottom FRN that the MSM would use talk such as that to paint us as a bunch of "doomers," "conspiracy theorists," crazies, or whatever new names they invent for people who talk about subjects that fall outside the officially approved spectrum of thought.

"Alas! I believe in the virtue of birds. And it only takes a feather for me to die laughing."

Fear works for them...

..when they make us afraid of Iran. However, logic shows that we only need to be afraid of Iran when our leaders own words make Iran more dangerous. When our leaders say things like this, how is Iran not supposed to get pissed. I fear retaliation from Iran when we openly say we will kill their people, and then their people get killed. If Newt and Rick were right on Iran, at the very least the safe thing to do is not to talk about their intentions openly.

Free market capitalism isn't right for America because it works better. It's right because it's free (and it works better).

When the Iranians kill a US Marine..

..that will be an emotional argument right there. Newt and Rick Santorum helped create the climate which will be the cause of Iran executing this US citizen. What more emotional plea to you need. People just need to have the dots connected for them.

Free market capitalism isn't right for America because it works better. It's right because it's free (and it works better).

Blowback doesn't work because it's seen as weak and America

Is strong.

Many republicans want to start to nuke countries in the mid-east, they are not afraid of 'blowback'.

The only way to convince them is to show that China is the real enemy and the war is economic but will turn real soon.

Once they agree and admit to this fear you then paint the mid-east wars as distractions from the true enemy and tie the liberals and RINOs to the communist party of China.

It's really easy, ie Bain Capitol is heavily invested in China and destroys American businesses. Chinese CCTV news rated Romney as the most Chinese friendly candidate.

Most Conservatives already believe this if they listen to talk-radio, they are just not bright enough to put 1 and 1 together.

I think that might be too much info...

..for them. I don't want this Marine to die, but what are the chances Iran lets him go? When they execute him, the people need to see the comments of their Republicons and how they added to the climate that make it unsafe for Americans in Iran. They don't have to agree with Ron on Iran, but they at least need to see how their candidates are adding to the problem.

I'm gonna try this on my grandma...

Lame..

any video creators here?

it would make a rather compelling foreign policy video to link these snips together and demonstrate the point of RP's approach.

hope so.

Newt is gonna do us a favor spending $5 million to blast romney, but we need a reason for conservatives to jump ship from them quickly so it becomes a two man race faster. Even if people don't agree with Ron on Iran, any military vet, or logical thinking person can see that this was a huge mistake on Newt's part, and nobody this careless should be in charge of the military.

So the USA and Israel are

So the USA and Israel are essentially terrorizing the Iranians.

Yet many in the USA believe they have the moral high ground.
