If you're going to use that argument, you then have to stress that, "Israel will then need to face the consequences of these actions, if Iran (quite reasonably) decides to retaliate. And if Iran indeed does retaliate, they aren't 'crazy Iranians hell-bent on the destruction of Israel,' they are simply defending their country and 'national interests,' like any country logically would."

You'd think that people would see what Israel has done for decades and understand that some blowback from their actions is very reasonable...but, on this topic Americans have a blind spot. Therefore, it's probably not a bad idea on our part to reiterate this seemingly obvious concept, over and over.
