Going to the streets

I traveled around my small community and repaired Dr. Paul’s signs, and I added a few more. I also have attempted to get my friends to register, but I am only a volunteer. One of the Democratic candidates had dozens of signs, some blocking out the other candidates signs.

Nice to revel but now it time to get to business

I was a Iowa caucus goer and cast my vote for Dr. Paul. I though do have one concern there seems to be a disconnect between the Grassroots effort and campain head quarters. We need to build a brigde between us and really make this a political machine that can't be stopped. I had signed up to Dr. Paul's site and checked the box as a volunteer. Its was a couple days before the caucus that I recieved a letter asking to be a precinct leader. With that short a notice I wasn't able organize anything but show up to my caucus room and vote. I don't want this to happen in Michigan or any of the other states. We need to be more organized with the campain so we can get the word out on whats lacking when it comes to fulfilling our goal of getting Dr. Paul elected. I know that the short time that the campain actually spent time in Iowa they focused on the larger demographical areas. I beleave if there had been a call out from the campain head quarters that we needed people to beat ice off the stump in small town Iowa we would of had a better showing now. The sign drive in Iowa only came to my area once and that day we had a ice storm in progress so I wasn.t able to pick up any. If I had been able to my county would of been plastered with them. But as it was I put up as many as I could afford to buy. If they would of just asked I would of used my own pickup and dropped sign off to people in east Iowa where I live. I guess what I'm trying to get acroos is we need to coordinate with campain head quarters and fill in where they are short handed and still continue with what we do best and thats admire and support the great Dr. Paul.

Ron Paul last chance for some semblance of liberty.

I am a resident of New Hampshire and I recently met Congressman Paul at a Town Hall event. He seemed to be one of the most sincere people I have ever met, and he was truly interested in my opinion. He made me feel like I mattered as a citizen. I am very glad that he surpassed Guiliani in the Iowa caucus. The more persecution he receives from corrupt organizations, the more people sympathize with him. I am almost happy that Fox decided to exclude him from the debate, since that action generates free publicity for Dr. Paul. I feel that Dr. Paul is our last chance at retaining some semblance of liberty in our country. The Globalist/Socialistic individuals want to track everyone with biometric internal passports and even microchips. They would like to run every living thing on the earth like a video game, or like the bee’s in that recent film, since; they are power-mad. This involves not only large governments, but also some large corporations-like that major retailer, or some of these resorts. Guiliani is always talking about how great he thinks biometric cards would be. I think Guiliani has interests in a security firm, if I am not mistaken. I strongly identify with Dr. Paul in his opposition to the national I.D. card. I understand his free-market stance, but I hope he considers the fact that many of these big companies would like to create a sort of police state of their own; they even work directly with big-government and support socialistic policies (google spying on the Chinese people for example). I probably agree with 90% of what Dr. Paul says; with the other candidates I am lucky if I agree with 20%. I also like his foreign policy; he is the only candidate who will steer us away from all these extraneous wars. I am praying in Jesus name for Dr. Paul’s safety and that the Father will watch over him. I am not ashamed of the name of Jesus. I will vote for Ron Paul.

THIS FROM BLACKBOXVOTING.ORGS WEBSITE

1-4-08: Eh? Iowa Republicans STILL missing 65 precincts in results
It isn't even a skillful magic show.

The Republican caucuses usually take only half as long as the Democratic caucuses, due to simpler procedures. Yet the Republicans are lagging behind the Democrats now by over TEN HOURS in having all their results in. Results delays are a red flag.

Alert CSPAN watchers caught TV screen shots of Giuliani vote totals going down by a couple thousand votes midstream in, I believe it was, Linn County. That needs a confirm; screen shot images were posted on various blogs, but if anyone recorded the coverage and can corroborate those screen shots, please let us know.

As many of us know, vote totals that go DOWN during the middle of the count can be an error, but also can signal an election theft tactic whereby votes from a candidate finishing very low in the pack are skimmed off and given to a favored candidate higher in the pack. If corroborated, the vote total shift will be another red flag.

And with the Republican race, I wouldn't look first at fraud in the number one position. I'd look for it in the area of repositioning candidates in the second through sixth spot.

- The delay in results is a red flag.
- The vote totals going down during the count is a red flag.
- The failure to release county results in live time, as promised in a Republican Party press release on Jan. 2, is a red flag.
- The failure to release precinct totals at all is a corrupt procedure. Note that the day before the caucuses, after much pressure, the Republicans did (belatedly) promise to release the precinct results on election night. They didn't.

In addition: I'm trying to get information on whether the public was kicked out of the room during hand counting in all locations, or just some.

I will be publishing some reports by caucus attendees in the "Front Lines" section later today.

There is absolutely no reason to consider any of the Republican caucus results to be credible.

I'm not saying they are wrong, I am saying the breakdown in checks and balances was stunning enough to call it not a magic show, but a bad magic show.

The Iowa Magic Show - Smoke And Mirrors!

By Bev Harris
BlackBoxVoting.org
1-4-8

"I literally laughed out loud at the magic show the Republicans are putting on.

"We will be very transparent and report in live time on our Web site."

"Well not the details, precincts will come after the totals are announced " (think about this folks: You can't GET the totals without the precinct results. They're doing it out of order)

And then:

"Oh gee the web site isn't posting any results after all"

And then:

"Hello we are the networks and with 40% in we are projecting [note subtle misuse of language]

"Huckabee won Iowa"

[Correct language would say "we are projecting that Huckabee will win Iowa -- and not a single iota of results had been PUBLICLY released.]

Next we see the only live coverage, done by CSPAN, in which McCain thumps everyone.

Instead of counting in public, they had the public leave the room before the counting and things are being sorted out of view and counted under chairs and in corners, with no public view of the data. This was done by perfectly nice people. Problem was, they didn't provide them with anything remotely sensible for a workspace -- like, oh, say a table and some chairs.

Next, we see a cell phone situation, which then inexplicably calls him back to tell him the call did not go through. Baffled, he says "we're done. I think."

More happy gesticulating by the networks pronouncing winners with great precision.

Still, at this time, not a thing has thus far been reported in "real time."

Then a nearly filled in map appears, but without telling us the percentage of precincts reporting and with no precinct data.

It's not up to the citizens to prove fraud. What we need is a system where the votes are counted in public (they were not, in Carroll County), and where we can check the precinct results against the reported precinct results.

What we got was a magic show.
http://www.bbvforums.org/...

I wouldn't be surprised if "they" didn't skim some votes off Rudy G. and gave them to McCain and Thompson, just so they would beat out Ron Paul.

The Ron Paul revolution is coming through your town. Either jump on board or get the hell out of the way!!!

The Ron Paul revolution is coming through your town. Either jump on board or get the hell out of the way!!!

The only one...

I'm one of those Ron Paul supporters that doesn't get called in the polls, because I don't usually vote. Only when I see someone worth voting for do I make it out to vote. It's usually the lesser of 2 evils. I don't know about you guys, but I personally can see straight through most candidates... almost every election. Only maybe Reagan and possibly (gag) Jimmy Carter in my lifetime have seemed like honest, up-right citizens with intefrity and a solid desire to want to make this country a better place. Carter sucked as president, but I believe he is a very honest and compassionate human being. Reagan was a great man and a great president. Now we have Ron Paul. I'll get out and vote this time.

About the Iowa caucus...

10% is a lot better than 4%. That is what Ron Paul finished in the Iowa straw poll... 4%. In the New Hampshire Taxpayers straw poll, Ron Paul finished with 65.3%. He's never done well in Iowa and 10% is a very strong showing as far as I'm concerned. I'm defintely looking forward to New Hampshire.

That's my 2 cents.

The Cat is out of the proverbial bag!

It's funny having listened to so many of Dr. Paul's speeches I have taken notice of one specific out of the many consistent themes, that being that we have all done so much better then we've imagined and that its not about Ron Paul its about the message.
Naturally as everyone else here I am hopeful that the entire nation will begin to see through the political smog to the clarity of the message and elect Dr. Ron Paul to President Doctor Ron Paul; wow that has a great ring to it doesn't it! Be that as it may I think in many ways , beyond all refute, and quite indeed, we have already won.
We have let the cat out of the bag and we have changed the parameters of not only this election but how we discuss the governance of our country ,THESE United States of America. Not only that we have awaken the country and opened up the debate to the original and new concept of self governance and inalienable rights and though many people may have forgotten this or have never known this to begin with ; we have awaken these concepts in people who are smart, compassionate and willing to get involved in the political process that decides how we conduct this great system.
We have let the cat out of the bag and its not going back in. It can't ! The MSM outlets have noticed and although many if not all of them at first have tried to attack the message ,stifle and ignore it; now some are beginning to see the writing on the wall. If they continue their behavior of un-American propaganda they will be held to count for it very soon. The cat is out of the bag and it is cannot go back in.
Lets work hard and do the best we can in the months to come to get Doctor Paul in the office of the presidency and remember we have already won!

Vox Clamantis in Deserto

The first time I heard of Dr.Paul was on candidate@google. At the time, I admit I didn't know who he is, but what catch my vision was that , at the time, Dr.Paul's video file had gotten more attention than Barrack Obama.
To cut to the case, it commenced my adventure to become RP's revolusionist or loyalist. I mean, I was for the war before my rendezvouz with you tube's torrent videos which was full of constitutionalist and libertarian message.
Then the wilderness began:
MSM media sabottage, I can see through O'reilly and Fox now cuz of Dr.Paul, CNN, one reporter claiming RP a terorist.
Huckabees fans trying to discredit him on youtube.
This wilderness is a sign. Dr.Paul has ruffle some feathers. Why the current establishment want to destroy Dr.Paul so much. Well, I smell fear. Edmund Burke once said, "No passion so effectually robs the mind of all its powers of acting and reasoning as fear." Fear is driving all the sabotages and opposition to Dr. Paul today. Fear of new things to come. Essentially, Dr. Paul is in the wilderness. I compare him with John the Baptist who the bible called "VOX CLAMANTIS IN DESERTO" - A voice of one crying in the wilderness. Bravo RON PAUL!!

Ron Paul's 10% Iowa Showing Not Earning Much Ink

For a comprehensive archive of streaming video of mainstream media coverage on Ron Paul right before, and right after the Iowa caucus, visit http://www.federaljack.com

Despite a strong showing in Iowa, Ron Paul results blatantly omitted from the Miami Herald, and other media outlets.

In both this morning's print editions of the New York Times and Miami Herald, earning 10% of the vote in Iowa failed to qualify Ron Paul as worthy of any mention in reports of the results of the GOP Iowa caucus. "Even while covering candidates who came in below Ron Paul’s numbers, Adam Nagourney refuses even a passing mention of him in today’s New York Times cover story", reports Ronpaulwarrrom.com, while I personally perused the January 4th Final Edition of the Miami Herald in search of last night's results, only to find that Dr. Paul's numbers failed to even appear in an article or graph of any sort. They were apparently outright omitted. In fact, the Herald carried a story about Rudy Giuliani attending a campaign rally in Miami yesterday, and somehow neglected to publicize his meager showing, particularly his finishing substantially behind Ron Paul. However, while devoting absolutely no ink to Dr. Paul in their Iowa coverage, they only had this to say of Giuliani's day in Iowa: "Rudy Giuliani may have been way behind the top Republican presidential contenders in Thursday night's Iowa caucus, but he was hoping to be ahead of the pack in Florida." Does the Herald consider Dr. Paul a 'top' contender? If so, why no mention of him? He did outperform Rudy 10% to 4%, despite enjoying much less general name recognition than the former mayor of New York.

Americans are not familiar with this phenomenon called "Revolution". Just because some of you think and have common sense of what's going on in this country doesn't mean that the most people do.
It is still amazing how many of you are behind this great man. Since when has the smart and honest man been succesful in politics? Remember Jay Leno's comment? It was right on the botton.
Most people in thsi coutry are scared. They are used to follow. The true revolution may happen if people really live like the Third World country. Sure this country is well on its way to achieve that goal but we are still "OK".
Those who vote, vote for the those they are told to do so. If they are religious they will vote for the one their preacher will tell them to vote for. Those have work for some big corporation will vote for whoever their bosses will tell them to vote etc. If they don't, well... you know what can happen.
In order for such a great man like Dr Paul to have a chance two things must happen. First the economy has to be so bad that most people are starving, have almost nothing. Second, most people working for small companies, small business owners would actually have to get involved.
Iowa is mostly dumb rednecks who would not vote for anybody else if you tried to use a granate to separate them from their plows, sickles and scythes.

New here. Dr. Paul fan for quite a while. Sorry if I missed this elsewhere, but why no total on Iowa results yet? Did Dr. Paul perhaps get 11%?

The ruin of most men dates from some idle moment. George S. Hillard

Paul got 10%

Which is 3x better than Giuliani did, and 100 times better than what the media had been predicting! :)

Now we can start to get a good idea of the kind of curve that we are dealing with. Let's see if we continue to do 'X' times better than the predictions in NH.

Upward

and onward!

"I take my marching orders from the Constitution!!"

Ron Paul should win over Huckabee. Go Ron Paul!!

I am satisfied by getting 10%, but not satisfied to be behind Thompson. But what is dissapointing and interesting is to see Mike Huckabee in number 1. I mean he get vote from people who think in logical flaw: Huckabee is Christian. He is a politician who have opinions. So his opinion represent Christian. I never seen the word baptist minister gotten abuse more than with him. I go to baptist church every sunday, but I don't like Mike Huckabee's action. My point is if I can see through him why other Christians do not? And how can we get their vision repaired? There is a pastor name Gregory Boyd, St. Paul Minnesota Church, a yale and princetonian, who appears on Charlie Rose that hates using Christ for politics. See in www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIWs_G4oJaA
If this video could be seen by Huckster's voters could this change their mind and turn to Ron Paul? I think it might just do it. Or maybe if some RP group in St Paul can do a special video on him. But remember to clear up the logical flaw of Christianity and Politics only, he would get upset if you ask him to support any candidate.

Iowa is God and guns country

Iowa is God and guns country for Republicans, so it doesn't really surprise me. I expect much higher numbers in NH for Paul.

About Iowa : it looks like

About Iowa : it looks like we've landed in 5th place. John McCain and Fred Thompson, hold 4th and 3rd place, respectively. Honestly, I think we're in a fairly good position. For one thing, we're currently at around 10%, which is better than many of the polls predicted.
And despite the fact that we didn't spend as much time in Iowa as the other candidates (and our poor treatment from the mainstream media), we're just three points out of third place. We've also managed to beat former front-runner Giuliani with three times his vote total!

Concerning the candidates who placed higher than Dr. Paul: Huckabee (the winner) is still considered largely unacceptable by many factions within the Republican party and has little national organization to win in many of the other states. Meanwhile, Romney (who placed second) has spent so much money campaigning in Iowa that it's unclear how he will do elsewhere. Same thing goes for McCain, who will probably
fare well in New Hampshire but will most likely be shaky in other states. And Thompson is pretty much out of money...I suspect he will drop out of the race soon. The truth is, we've got a huge grassroots base that can continue to raise money in the days ahead. We are definitely still in an uphill battle...but we've got the organization we need across the nation to continue to spread our message.

Regardless of how Ron Paul performs in this election, I honestly believe that message won't die. America is just beginning to wake up and recognize the need for change in our government. Also...I know it's been mentioned a few times before, but I wanted to encourage those who pray to continue praying for this campaign and for our country. :) This process is just as much a spiritual struggle as that "against flesh and blood."

Until next time, take care and God bless! You all are amazing - don't stop championing the cause of freedom!

They're out of the gate...!

.
First stretch of a long horse race. Our guy is in the pack and nosing out Rudy G. This is all good. Thank goodness the campaign has money in the bank.

Now is the time to kick in a little more. I think the next $ bomb is Jan 16th. Hope it helps..!

Get hold of a professional media producer immediately.

Contact, for instance, Martin Scorsese, and tell him, "Okay, we have $2 million to spend, and that includes your fee. We need a thirty second or sixty second spot. What can you put together in thirty days? If you're not available can you recommend someone? Two mill is our spending limit."

Scorsese is just a name off the top of my head. There may well be better suggestions, but whoever it is, get a pro. Pros cost a lot of money, and there's a reason for that -- they're the best at what they do. Maybe a music video producer who's respected inside the industry. The agencies handling the Cox Cable and Geico Insurance accounts put out some clever stuff. Find out which ad agencies those companies are using and talk to them. The agency responsible for any well-done television commercial is a possibility -- the advertising industry network can tell you which agency is handling what account and the specific exec handling it. There are probably advertising insiders who visit this website who can provide that information.

RP has a bunch of money. All that money doesn't mean a thing if it's not put to use creating professional media promotion. This is a United States Presidential campaign. It's possibly the biggest media event on the planet. If the campaign spots are on the level of local furniture store ads nobody is going to be attracted. People want to be part of a winner and they naturally gravitate toward clever, professional advertising. Professional advertising is a sign the campaign has popular support and is doing well financially. A hint of humor is always helpful. All that creates confidence in people who are sitting on the fence. You don't want to give the impression you're begging people to join up, or you need them to join up, you want to give the impression you're doing inviting them to join up.

There are plenty of good amateurs out there who would work cheap but there isn't time to track them down or wait for them to volunteer and then examine their work etc. etc. Right now good and effective is far more important than cheap. If it were up to me I'd be contacting producers and agencies now, today.

If RP has someone on the staff who is presently pulling thirty grand a MONTH and this is what we're getting I'm going to have a tough time writing that next check. On the other hand I don't have the least problem contributing to pay the ad fees going to a professional and effective agency.

The Ron Paul revolution is coming through your town. Either jump on board or get the hell out of the way!!!

WYOMING

Found this link about Wyoming...http://community.planetjh.com/blogs/building_a_strong_wyoming/default.aspx

"The Wyoming Republicans will be electing on January 5, 12 delegates to the National Convention. Every presidential election Sublette and Teton Counties alternate which county gets to elect the delegate. This presidential election it is Teton County's turn and Sublette County will elect the alternate delegate. The Ron Paul campaign and Mitt Romney campaign have been the most active in Teton County heavily vying for that one delegate.

...The Ron Paul campaign appears to be the most organized in Teton County, but the Mitt Romney campaign has been trying. Other than those two candidates, the other candidates appear to have written off Wyoming."

Who's money are you talking about?

Some of you criticize the campaign staff for doing things you don't like with what you refer to as "our" money.

First, do not forget that your ownership ended when you donated the money to the official campaign. If you are confused about this you back the wrong candidate.

Second; entrepreneurship is a discovery process. RP has spent half of his life to figure out how he best can sell a political message of freedom to a people who almost forgot what it was. The most successful entrepreneurs have the ability to learn from experience and focus more on what they have done right and less on what they have done wrong. They also have the ability to learn from other peoples failures - that's less costly than learning from own failures. They also understand that they cannot spend too much time on listening to advisers, and that they constantly have to take decisions on the basis of fragmented and limited information, without spending too much time on advisers. RP knows this.

Third; I think you will make a much bigger contribution to the campaign if you try to change your own priorities and actions instead of trying to change the campaign staff by complaining about what they do. And if you find it difficult to change yourself then you should not be too optimistic regarding your ability to affect Ron's staff in any way that is positive for the campaign.

Americans

There are people who support Ron Paul because they get it, and people who support Ron Paul simply as an alternative to the Republicrat dynasty. Dont expect too much from those merely jumping on the RP bandwagon. A vote from a pissed off entitlement-mentality neo-liberal is still a vote, but s/he is also still just a pissed off entitlement-mentality neo-liberal.

Keep in mind also, that many defectors from other parties may have been unwanted in their own parties. Many of the early colonial pioneers of the "new world" were Europe's social rejects and religious extremists - they werent all merely rugged individualists yearning for freedom.

Reality aint always pleasant.

would really love...

Thank You!

Thanks for the great post! If people have great ideas, they should go out and do them, not complain about the campaign staff.
Personally, I think the staff is doing an excellent job.

Now what?

So who's going to tell the good Dr. Paul that he needs a better staff?
