Rush Limbaugh Ratings Plummeting!

I wonder if the reason Rush and Hannity's numbers are plummeting is because they call Ron Paul supporters "Liberals" or the "legalize drug crowd?"

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/05/24/rush-limbaugh-ratin...

That's certainly not me. I'm pretty sure most RP supporters are conservative.

I am 100% against drugs but think they should be left for the states and individuals to decide. But that's by far the least of my reasons for supporting Ron Paul.

Anyway. It's interesting to muse whether these talking head mainstream media types will ever accept the truth about our foreign policy and come Ron Paul's. If they want to stay relevant, they will have to. If they ever do, I'm sure they will say that that was their position the whole time and some idiots will believe it.

It's funny,

there is no other headline that I could possibly care less about, yet for some reason it is among the most enjoyable. What a paradox. Bump for good news during a so-so day. :-)

Great News

Keep up the good work !!

interesting

perhaps now that Ron Paul has at least gotten some press, and not all of it bad, Rush' listeners are finally being shown a different (and superior!) viewpoint than the Party line that he spouts. If that's the case...we've won!

Beck, Hanity, Limbaugh, Levin

Beck, Hanity, Limbaugh, Levin can go to hell!

They care about staying on the air and letting our country go to the dogs. Romney owns most of their radio outlets....

On November 16, 2006, Clear Channel announced plans to go private, being bought out by two private-equity firms, Thomas H. Lee Partners and Bain Capital Partners for $18.7 billion, which is just under a 10 percent premium above its closing price of $35.36 a share on November 16 (the deal values Clear Channel at $37.60 per share).

This is old news....is there an update on the Arbitron numbers. You have to have a membership to Arbitron, but it would be really cool to look at all their (Rush, Hannity, Levin, Beck) numbers over the past 6 months.

Glad to know I'm not the only one..

I wrote about my own experience with Rush here:
http://therepublicanmother.blogspot.com/2011/10/when-i-stopp...

I asked for the Limbaugh Letter for my sixteenth birthday - I was the biggest fan. Then after the conservative promises were not delivered, I tuned out until Dr. Paul caused me to tune back in!

Alex Jones

Destroys Rush where ever he is pitted against him. Let us not forget that Rush's rating are a combination of us turning him off and people turning Alex Jones on.

Agreed, Jones is a gatekeeper.. 1. Y2k hoax 2. Austin Gun Rally 3. Goes on Geraldo, doesn't say much of anything about 9/11 being an inside job (when he's finally got the camera).

When he was on Geraldo

He was there to talk about the DC Madame NOT about 9/11. Usually when you do an interview, you go on there about questions the host wants, not to shamelessly plug ANOTHER conspiracy. Geez.

Also, Jones is a horrible gatekeeper if I am here.

I think I know where this is coming from so this link below should destroy what you all are saying.

OMG

Yes, someone who has thrown 100% of his effort behind Paul is a 'gatekeeper'. I thought I was getting down votes because he was a 'truther'. I guess I also get down votes from everyone is a gatekeeper.

He also did a REALLY bad job because I am 100% behind Paul myself.

To each his own. Jones is

To each his own. Jones is truther, a position Paul wisely rejects. I'd rather promote somebody like Scott Horton.

Like him or not

Ron Paul wouldn't have been able to break through to the national scene without Alex Jones and his support. Jones has a rather large audience of activists and they were key to getting the ball rolling for Ron Paul 2008.

If Scott Horton had been Ron Paul's main talk radio support in 08 then there probably wouldn't be a DailyPaul and Ron Paul 2012 wouldn't exist as there wouldn't have been near enough grass roots support for either since Horton isn't and has never been a national talk radio force.

I agree that Jones has been

I agree that Jones has been tremendously important to generating support for Paul though I'm not sure I completely agree with you on the extent of it. In my experience, Paul supporters are more likely to read Lew Rockwell than listen to Jones.....but my experience might be exceptional.

Sadly, Horton is not a national force in talk radio. If he was given exposure, however, I think that he could have a substantial audience. He is witty, extremely well informed, thoughtful, and entertaining. Nobody has a more credible guest list than he does in the area of American foreign policy.

One comes from another.

We grow when we embrace others, not flat out reject them. All of us here are kooky to mainline Republicans. So, it is the pot calling the kettle black which I find amusing.

Wow

When did the Daily Paul become intolerant of Jones? When Homeland Security comes and gets us... it won't care if you are a 'truther' or not.

Jones has been promoting Paul since 1998 in his first documentary America Destroyed by Design. Also, I came to Paul through a combination of Mises and Jones.

Also, the official story is a Conspiracy Theory.

I never said Paul was

I never said Paul was "intolerant," of Jones. He is grateful for Jones support, as he should be. He also wisely disagrees with Jones' trutherism. If you are truther, you disagree with Paul, who is not a truther. That's fine of course since Paul has support from many who disagree with him on particular issues.

To me merely being a skeptic

Should not put you in this tiny box that should be laughed at and ignored by society. Whether you agree with 9/11 being a false flag attack or not, it was used to take away our 4th amendment.

Being a Conservative/Libertarian means you should be critical of your government no matter what. We have seen to many times first hand the government will lie no matter what, even if the truth would serve them. I mean we laugh at THOSE crazies who think that Nero burned Rome, the Gulf of Tonkin never happened or the Reichstag was burned down by Communist right. HAHAHAHAHAAHHAAHAHHAAHHAA!!What insane idiots!!! Am I right?

I went to this 9-12 rally and there is this weird religion built up around it now. When people heard that Iran was responsible for 9/11 (yes they are pushing that now), they peed their pants.

I'm probably more critical of

I'm probably more critical of our government than most truthers in the sense that I don't think it smart enough and efficient enough to pull off a gigantic operation like 9-11.

Doug Stephan

Good Day show..he supports Paul and is on lots of affiliates http://www.dougstephan.com/

Doug is fair to Dr Paul

I usually catch the last 20 mins of his show when I leave for work. He often ends the show with a Ron Paul audio clip and tops it off with a "this guy makes a lot of sense."

Isn't it sad

The man who really deserves credit for the GOP's congressional return from obscurity and the voice in the wilderness who gave mainstream America a booming voice, Rush Limbaugh, has turned his back on the one candidate who truly embodies the conservative message.
Thank you Rush, for giving us hope in the early years. And we pray that some day you may see the light again.

This man down here in Texas named

Michael Berry hosts two (2) on 740 KTRH from 8-11 and 5-7 daily. His morning show has become syndicated and airs in other locations you can find them at Michaelberry.com. If you haven't listened to him before, get ready. He's pretty raw, but as you continue to listen to him he grows on you big time. He is on the Ron Paul train more than he tries to let on.

I usually listen to him and others on my IHeartRadio app. You can get a lot of these guys, if their station is on IHeartRadio. Most are.

Also Matt Patrick on 9-5-0 Mojo also here in Houston. From 2-5. He has a lot to offer and gives Ron Paul a lot of respect.

Freedom will Prevail

it doesn't matter.. these people will fade overtime, let alone

their ratings, even just by doing nothing and allowing outdated ideologies fade into obscurity, seeing how neo-conservative ideology of paranoiac self-preservation is anything but popular among new generations. they're but transient phenomena not quite worth the effort of attention, already falling out of relevance on their own by manner of its daily conduct

I'd like to know what the usual annual dips are for

the months discussed. Are there any popular sports playing?
