That's a great question - Back when he could have, he didn't.

I used to like Mike Lee and I was really excited about him and Rand winning Senate seats.

But they both decided to "go along to get along" and here we are.

Lee proved he has no principles when you have to stand tough (even though he knew a lot better).

It is reasons like this that the TEA Party became a joke and a mere shadow of its former self.

SHAME on Lee AND Rand for not standing against the LIAR Romney.

And the beat goes on.

The guy is

full of sheet. He voted for the debt ceiling increase, that is all their is to know.

Lee endorsed Romney months ago.

The reason, probably, is that, relative to Ron Paul, Lee is a statist douche more concerned with maintaining the status quo and his political career than doing the right thing.

Ron Paul Endorses Mike Lee for U.S. Senate
By RonPaul.com on June 15, 2010

Congressman Ron Paul has endorsed Mike Lee in the Republican Primary race for United States Senate in Utah.

Dr. Paul said:

“I am proud to endorse Mike Lee for United States Senate.

Mike Lee will do the work to fight for lower taxes and spending and for more freedom in Washington. We need people like Mike voting with me in Congress.

Mike Lee is a dynamic young leader who understands our Constitution and will fight against out-of-control government to restore our Liberty. Mike has the courage to stand up against the bailouts and government takeovers being forced down our throats by Washington insiders.

I have always thought highly of Lee but -

If he supports anyone other than Dr. Paul, sadly I'll change my opinion of him and realize what little was left of the Tea Party is gone.

Lee has no choice but to support Paul, short of being a hypocrite and undermining everything he has spoken in the past.

He's a radical libertarian compared to most people in the US Senate, but a hardcore statist compared to Ron Paul.

Expect near-zero support from the political class.

MIke Lee

If you want to know why Mike Lee has not come out and endorsed someone - then ask him yourself!

I find it annoying and ignorant that people ASSUME that they know what drives others.

Mike Lee is NOT your regular politician. He is NOT a libertarian. He is a strong Constitutionalist.

Ron Paul is a strong Constitutionalist and a Libertarian. There is a difference between those two.

While I do not agree 100% with all of Ron Paul's ideas and platforms, I do know that is the best thing out there right now in terms of GOP Candidates. I agree with him probably 98% of the times. I don't have to agree 100% with a person in order to vote for them. But I do have to feel that they are the closest thing to perfection that is available. For me, that is Ron Paul right now.

Ron Paul would be disgruntled if he read the "stabbing" comments on Mormons that a couple of you have made. He is friends with Mormons and he LIKES them. He KNOWS they are good, honest, and hard-working people. And while he may disagree on theology, he is educated and classical enough to know that that does not mean that Mormons are nut-jobs.

So please, if you're going to be a Ron Paul supporter, don't tarnish his image with your ignorant and incorrect babblings about Mormons, when it is obvious that you know nothing about real Mormons.

All the "jabs" at Mormonism on here are nothing more than regurgitation of what is common media trash.

Get educated please! And make Ron Paul look better by doing so.

The Utah Primary's not until June 26

He's got plenty of time to make his endorsement with a full effect. It would be too early f he came out now.

Religion is the opiate of the people

Lee is no different than most of the gang of 100 in the senate

Wait, so the Daily Paul

Wait, so the Daily Paul crazies are quoting Marx now?

I think Lee has already endorsed --

-- Obomney. He was probably pressured to do so by Mormon elders.

New Hampshire and Ecuador.

Mormon elders

@McClarinJ: the "Mormon elders" would not pressure anyone to ENDORSE anyone - even if life in hell was threatened. You show your complete ignorance and lack of real education by your statement. Learn the facts please, before posting on public forums.

Comments like yours, from either you or other who have no idea what the real truth is, only add fuel to the fire of the masses. I is TRUE EDUCATION that will save this nation. Ron Paul is truely educated and you are tainting his high standard with your uneducated and completely ignorant comment.

THE MORMON CHURCH WILL MAKE A STAND WHEN SOMETHING OF ETERNAL VALUE (PRINCIPLES) ARE AT STAKE. THEY DO NOT "TELL" PEOPLE WHO TO ENDORSE OR VOTE FOR WHEN IT COMES TO ELECTED OFFICIALS. They are the ONLY church in this entire world that actually say what they mean, and mean what they say. They are the ONLY church in this world that are honest and upright, and that literally keep their nose out of "politics". The ONLY time they will step forward, is to save an eternal principles (ie: the family is foundational and crucial unit of society and same-sex marriage cannot be allowed to redefine that! etc.)

Mike Lee will endorse whomever he wants to. And if Mitt Romney wins the presidency (heaven forbid!) he will NOT be "told what to do" by the Mormon Elders. That is so far away from the way the Mormon Church works, that it's not even on their radar.

Now - you look at ALL the evangelical churches and the Catholic church- and you can clearly see they tell ALL Their congregations who to vote for and who to support.

I find if ironic - the SINGLE church that does NOT tell its members who to vote for/endrose, is the one church that is accused of doing so - while all the other church that DO do this, are never even mentioned.

Why is that?

I stand

corrected. In my ignorance I was simply extrapolating based on my awareness of how other religious leaders behave.

New Hampshire and Ecuador.

Thank you.

The crudeness of the reason is unfortunate...

...and this is not an implication on the church, but is a measurable and well known cultural phenomenon.

The answer is: because Mike Lee is Mormon and Ron Paul is evangelical.

@FBI_Exposer: you are totally ignorant and so twisting the facts, and you have no idea that this is the case.

Let's get this straight: Speaking of the "average" (not the few): Evangelicals hate Mormons and spend hours each week preaching to their congregations on how to hate Mormons, how to fight against them, and how to preach against them. While Mormons love evangelicals, try to reach out to them, serve them, and welcome them as true brothers (even the ones that openly hate them!). Evangelicals tell their people to vote AGAINST a Mormon. Mormons do not tell their people who to vote for AT ALL.

Mormons stick to truth and righteousness, even if that means going against one of their own. Evangelicals will stick together, even if that means that one of their own is the anti-christ.

End of lesson. I've lived it all - both sides of the isle, and in my 50 years it has never been different than that.

- TERi :9)

Please be careful painting with a broad brush.

Saying that Evangelicals hate Mormons is not true. I grew up an evangelical Christian (now 48 yrs old), and having been a member of several different evangelical, fundamental Christian churches, I can emphatically state that true Evangelical Christians do not hate Mormons, because it is against the teachings of Scripture. Christians are supposed to love the brethren (other Christians), love their neighbor (including Mormons), and even love their enemies (those that hate us and would do us harm). Yes, we disagree with the basics and foundations of the Mormon religion. I have even taken classes at church about the theological and historical differences between Christianity and Mormonism. Yet the teacher at NO time ever taught us to hate Mormons. At times I have engaged in debates with Mormons that have come to my door seeking to proselytize me, other times I have chosen just to state that I am a Christian, and was not interested. You may call that "fighting against" Mormons, but I certainly would not.

In the political arena, I appreciate the pro-life stance that most Mormons take, and I would willingly work with them side by side to further the Pro-Life cause. There are many Mormons in our community, some whom I am very acquainted with, and have enjoyed many good conversations about families and homeschooling.

So, maybe in your narrow experience you have seen so-called evangelicals who express hatred for Mormons. I am here to tell you, though, that all of us, especially the true Christians, are not like that. Peace be with you.

Thank you ...

... for being a true Christian. Everyone who is a true follower of Christ should strive to act as Christ would act.

I wondered hopefully he still will before it is to late.

I was wondering the same

I was wondering the same thing. Hopefully he's just holding out and will eventually.
